Aria

Aria is a 10 year old Cardigan Welsh Corgi in new york, NY, who needs $20,000 for Canine Lymphoma Chemotherapy.

new york, NY

Aria is our 10 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who has been my best friend for nearly her entire life. We live together in Sunnyside, Queens, where she loves our neighborhood dog run and chasing squeaky balls in our apartment courtyard. When she needs a break from city life, she happily visits Grandma's backyard in Connecticut. After finding a lump in Aria's neck and noticing increased panting and coughing, we brought her to Court Square Animal Hospital. She was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma in multiple lymph nodes and a mast cell tumor on her hind leg. We have been referred to The Veterinary Specialty Referral Center of Manhattan for oncology care. Aria still thinks she's a puppy. She lives for squeaky balls and will instantly perk up when she hears one squeak, even after deciding she's done walking like the stubborn corgi she is. Everyone at our local Irish market knows her and gives her turkey after she shows off her favorite tricks. She brings joy wherever she goes. I am a full time nursing student in New York City while working to support myself. Aria's chemotherapy is estimated to cost $15,000 to $20,000, far beyond what I can afford. Any support would give my best friend the chance to fight this cancer and continue her happy life.

Rascal

Rascal is a 9 year old Himalayan/Colorpoint Persian in New York, NY, who needs $14,201 for Surgical Liver Biopsy & Overnight Hospitalization.

New York, NY

My cat is an indoor-only pet and has been a cherished member of my family for several years. He lives with me in a safe, loving home where he receives regular food, veterinary care, and daily attention. He has always been affectionate, social, and an important source of comfort and companionship in my life. Recently, he began showing signs of illness, including loss of appetite, lethargy, and severe jaundice. After evaluation by our local veterinarian, additional testing revealed concerns about an underlying liver condition. Due to the severity of his symptoms, I was referred to BluePearl Animal Hospital for advanced diagnostics and a surgical liver biopsy to determine the cause and guide treatment. My cat is much more than a pet to me. He is my companion, my source of comfort, and a member of my family. He has always had a gentle, loving personality and enjoys being close to me throughout the day. Whether he's curling up next to me on the couch, following me from room to room, or greeting me when I come home, he always finds a way to make me feel loved. I am fully committed to his care and have been following all veterinary recommendations, including diagnostic testing, medications, and supportive care. The challenge is the significant cost of the specialized treatment and hospitalization he urgently needs.

Bowie is a 9 year old Maine Coon in New York, NY, who needs $2,000 for Specialty Pelvic Limb Amputation.

New York, NY

🐾 Meet Bowie Bowie is a 9-year-old rescue cat, mostly Maine Coon, whom we adopted at 10 weeks old. He lives with me and his sister, Shadow, in a safe indoor home. Always affectionate and full of personality, he’s now facing a serious health challenge but remains his loving, gentle self. Bowie was diagnosed with a grade 2 soft tissue sarcoma after a biopsy and CT scan confirmed a tumor on his upper thigh. Specialists at BluePearl Pet Hospital in New York City recommend an urgent amputation to prevent the cancer from spreading and give him the best chance at recovery. Bowie is a lively, affectionate cat who loves to run, jump, and meow at everything outside the window. He plays with his sister, Shadow, and cuddles with anyone he trusts. Shy at first but full of love once he warms up, he’s a total chatterbox who waits for me to come home so he can curl up and purr beside me. (And yes… he was named after the musical genius David Bowie.) I’ve covered Bowie’s tests and scans, but the $8,500 surgery is more than I can manage alone. Having him healthy again would mean everything — he’s family, and I just want him to have the chance to live a long, happy life.

Sadie

Sadie is a 10 year old Labrador Retriever in New York, NY, who needs $2,000 for Diagnostics.

New York, NY

I rescued Sadie 10 years ago from a shelter. She is a tab lab mix that loves life and everyone she meets. It was a sad time in my life and we helped one another through school, work, covid, and relationships. Sadie became sick 2 weeks ago, first refusing to eat and then having trouble breathing. I have been force feeding her and giving her medication, but nothing has helped so far. She already lost almost a fifth of her body weight and developed a limp. The vet says that more information is needed, including blood test and imaging to identify how to treat her. Sadie has been happy for the decade that she had been in my life She is curious and always wants to say hi to everyone she meets. She naps when she is bored, but would rather be outside, especially at a park or around people. This is a little different from me, and so has helped me be more social and I am thankful for that. I have already spent over $1000 on vet bills but diagnostics are expected to cost at least 4x that much, not counting treatment. She is worth every penny and can live for many more years of this is treated. However, I am unable to afford this and have been losing sleep.

Zuri

Zuri is a 3 year old Miniature Schnauzer in Bronx, NY, who needs $400 for Dystocia - Fetus Stuck in Birth Canal.

BRONX, NY

Zuzu came into my life as a rescue. I've had her since she's been 4 months old. She is now 3 1/2years. She's the most loving dog I've ever had the pleasure of owning. After my mother passed almost two years ago I also gained a second pup a min pin named poppa. I've been trying my best to avoid a unplanned pregnancy. I had no intent to Breed her I just never got enough money to fix the male puppy.. I almost lost my fur baby, she had a dead puppy stuck in her birth canal. She was showing signs of dystocia. She had low blood sugar and was dehydrated. The vet was able to stabilize her gave her a Iv, sugar, and manually put their hand in her to remove the puppy. The gender of the puppy wasn't confirmed because they had to aggressively remove it. She's now home with the four live puppies. Zuri is my registered service animal. She's been with me since I transitioned from foster care, into our first apartment. She keeps me level headed and reminds me everyday I have something to live for. I am a rover dog walker and a crochet fiber artist. I am also partially disabled with sickle cell trait and scoliosis. My jobs have not been consistent enough to have funds saved to the side for this emergency visit.

I gave him a home in 2009 he was a tiny pup that I could hold in one hand. So he really thinks I'm his mom. Where I live was never safe and after my husband was gone. I was alone but his need to be cared for brought me out of depression and gave me feelings of safety. We are inseparable never been away from each expect the times I was hospitalized. He was so excited when I came home. When its time for bed he waits for me if I'm in the living room he knows when its he comes to the door ask if to lets go time to sleep. I tell to go I'm coming. He'll lay down for 30 minutes and come back every 30 minutes till I come to bed. When I'm doing chores he's at my feet watching my every movement. He doesn't like it when he can't see where I am. He's very protective and loves me. Everyone in the neighborhood loves him. He has his own friendships. Even with strangers he loves affection. He loves fruit especially apples and watermelon, catalope and pears. Whenever I would cry after the loss of my husband he would look at me turning his head from side to side tring to understand. And when I get up and come back to find his favorite toy in my spot. Sharing it to make me feel better This tumor is growing bigger and slowly bleeding causing him to be very anemic. And pushing his organs and stomach so he can only eat small amounts at a time. He's lost so much weight you can his ribs as you can see from his picture. I don't know if he's in pain but he looks so uncomfortable when he walks. And looking in his eyes to see he doesn' whats wrong. It's a chance for him to feel better I'm retire senior living a fixed income of 1,000 month. I have spent 1,500 just find out what was causing to be so sick. Putting behind in my rent and fear of being homeless to save my baby. His life is as important as mine to me. I know he has more years if he has surger

Kingsley

Kingsley is a 9-year-old Yorkie Mix in New York, NY, who needs $2,000 for Radiation Therapy.

New York, NY

About 6 months ago (Kingsley is now 9) he was diagnosed with an MLO, osteocondrosarcoma above his left eye (skull). He had to have the tumor removed urgently. Due to the location of the tumor the surgeon wasn’t sure able to fully remove and recommended radiation therapy. He’s now on the mend, but I am left with huge medical bills from both treatments. Kingsley is the boss of the house, I have had him for 9 years from when I was in college, living in my first apartment and now life in the city. Kingsley is full of personality and strength after all he has been through. He is a true champion bouncing back from all the ordeals he has suffered. Kingsley is my companion, who I take everywhere. I have now spent over $20k of my life savings on Kingsley with his tumor and treatment and have no money to treat his current issue. Looking for help as he is in the ER currently for pancreatitis and needs overnight extended care. Please help me help this trooper. Aside from Kingsley seizures, which he has had since he was 6 months old, he has recently had a slew of medical issues these past few months. He was rushed to the ER at Blue Pearl in Brooklyn to get a bone tumor removed, had radiation therapy post surgery to treat the location (Blue Pearl 55th), and is now being treated for pancreatitis at VEG in NYC. Kingsley is the boss, and loves to be the center of attention. He is my rock when I am upset or sick and is always concerned when those around him are hurting. He loves his toy dragon that is as big as he is, and brings it over to play with my feet as I work from home moving the toy minimally as he growls excitedly. Nothing like mistaking feet for hands.

Bronx, NY

we bought Charlie in July of 2020. My kids grandma had recently passed away from COVID and I decided they needed something to help them cope with her lost. Charlie was perfect. The kids actually chose her name. They loved the name Charlie and when we saw her we knew that was her name!! She lives with myself and my 5 kids who. Charlie is out world right now and we just want the best for her Charlie use to be a happy puppy that loves to play with toys and run after the kids. Although she has her own bed she chooses to sleep at the edge of my daughters bed si that in the morning when the alarm goes off she runs to wake her up. She is lazy and loves to be On top of the kids all day cuddled up with them. I am on a fixed income right now. We don’t have the money to pay for the cat scan. My kids would be devastated if they lost her. It would mean so much to them if Charlie was healthy. They see what she is going through and all they think about is what if they lose her. On about December 2020 Charlie started getting epilepsy attacks out of nowhere. I took her to her vet and the vet said it was something neurological or a shunt. We were sent over to the liver specialist and they told us she needed a cat scan because an ultrasound wouldn’t give us the answers we need. Charlie is special because she came In to our lives when we needed her the most. She has been more than just a pet to us. She is sweet and quiet and just wants to be loved. She also loves all the attention on her if not she will bark at you to make sure you understand that she is the princess and needs all of the attention

Kevin is a 2-year-old Boxer Shepherd in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $2,000 for Hospitalization for Pre Surgery.

Minneapolis, MN

I rescued Kevin from the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley back in June of 2019. He was 2.5 months old. He spends every single day by my side and goes everywhere with me. We live in Uptown, Minneapolis. He has a brown/white body with a black snout. He has been neutered and has received all shots. Kevin is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He is my companion, my best friend, my hero. He likes to go on walks and runs and he is very active. Everyone you meet loves him and he is the first thing that greets anyone. I have never met a more friendly dog than my Kevin. Don't say the word "food" or he will salivate to no end! Lol I was laid off due to Covid back in April and have had an extremely hard time finding work. I am struggling financially. To save Kevin's life, is my priority. Kevin is my entire world and I cannot live without him. He is everyone's friend, but my hero. This was an emergency. At around 7pm, my girlfriend and I were walking our dogs. Kevin, got loose from his leash and ran into the street. As I was waving my arms trying to get the driver to stop, he continued to move at the same pace and struck Kevin. The driver stopped for a quick 2 second before driving away. A Good Samaritan picked me up and drove me to the Blue Pearl Hospital in Golden Valley. Kevin talks to me, I understand him. I know when he is hungry, I know when he wants to go outside, and I know when he wants to play/simply go for a walk. I have never understood an animal as much as I can understand my best friend. My girlfriends dog, Stella, is Kevin's friend and they have so much fun together.

Pouppy

Pouppy is a 5-year-old Malitpoo in Brooklyn, NY, who needs $2,000 for Cruciate Lateral Suture.

Brooklyn, NY

Pouppy is one of the most playful dogs you will ever meet! My baby boy is 5 years old, and full of life. My coworker’s dogs had babies and she inquired if I’d be interested. I’m thinking, “what will I do with a dog?” I’ve never had a dog before. But when I saw his face I fell in love! I named him Pouppy because my bf has a French accent and pronounced puppy as poopee lol. It was perfect! Pouppy loves my friends and family and they love him back. Soon as they come through the door he runs to get his ball because he’s ready to play. He’s usually running around the apartment but when he’s relaxing he’s on the bed with me laid out like a human lol. And one thing he absolutely loves is feet! lol. That boy will lick for hours if he could. Working for a non profit is great, but when funding gets cuts it’s not so great. Due to COVID, funding for my position was cut and I don’t know what’s next for me as they will soon do layoffs. It hurts me that one of his legs is hurting so much that he can’t put it down. He has a CCL which is basically an ACL tear in his left knee. The doctor said it happens in very playful dogs. Even though he still loves to play, it’s very limited now because he can’t run and jump like he used to. It’s also affecting his mood because he sleeps more now. I just want my old Pouppy back to normal. Pouppy is special in so many ways. One funny thing I’ve noticed while working from home is that he’ll be quiet when I’m on virtual calls, but once I say the word “Bye” he jumps right up! He knows I’m getting off the phone and it’s time for him to get some attention. It’s the sweetest thing. He jumps off the bed and sits with puppy dog eyes nudging the ball towards me.

Willie is a 2-year-old British Shorthair in New York, NY, who needs $2,000 for Cancer(undiagnosed).

New York, NY

My cat is from Ukraine. I bought him from a breeder in Ukraine. I saw the picture of him on Instagram on the breeder’s page. I never seen a cute cat like him. I wait many days to bring him home. Willie is the name breeder gave him and I call him little pudding because he is cute like a pudding. I’m really happy he can come to my life. I live alone, however, with his company, I never felt lonely. I play with him everyday. He really like the toys I bought for him. He also like the treats I gave him, whenever I take it out, he will know even though he is far away and he will come and ‘Miao miao miao’. Now he is 2 years old, he still loves those toys and always follow me. I’m still a student, so I don’t have enough income to cover the huge expenses. I already paid for the first day treatment which is over $5000. I cannot really afford that amount everyday, but I don’t want to give up him. Please help him, I can do anything. I sent him to the BluePearl Veterinary Partners - Midtown in New York City. He suddenly lost many weight, so I sent him to the hospital. The results show the red blood cell is very low. It could be the immune hemolytic anemia. Then we did several tests, the veterinarian thought it also could be cancer. Today we have to do the cancer test. It’s really hard to treat him, but I don’t want to give up. I’m really thankful he can come to my life and accompany me when I’m alone. He is the best cat I ever seen. He never eat humans food or destroy my stuff. He never poop outside his box. He like to sleep with me and lay beside my arm which makes me feel warm and happy. Although he sleeps with me, he never wake me up. He is really a good boy.

Blondie is a 8-year-old Domestic shorthair in Hoboken , NJ, who needs $2,000 for Urinary blockage.

Hoboken, NJ

I adopted Blondie at 2 years old. He and his siblings were born with Cerebeller Hypoplasia and he is also deaf. His disability doesn’t slow him down. He loves to play with toys and have treats. His favorite activity is just to be with those he loves. He is the sweetest, lovable cat, often showing his love by licking you. Blondie loves everyone and everything. He never complains no matter how much pain he’s in. He loves to interact with people and has never met someone he doesn’t like. He loves to greet people when they come through the door with head butts and licks. When he is in the mood he loves a good snuggle from people. I used everything I had for the vet and hospital visit we’ve already had. I was unemployed for 4 months due to COVID and did not receive unemployment benefits so I’ve been living off a small, fixed income. I know he needs this hospitalization to survive. He is my whole life. Blondie has a blockage on 7/27 and went to the doctor and was expressed and sent home. On 7/30 he has to be rushed to the hospital because he still hadn’t gone to the bathroom. His bladder was the size of a football and was ready to rupture. He went home in the morning but it’s apparent he needs a more extensive 3 day stay to clear up his blockage and get him healthy again. Blondie loves to sit in the window and watch the people walk by. He loves to watch movies with you and one of his favorite is Thor. He gives the best headbutts and always knows when you need to be cheered up. He loves dried chicken treats and meat tube treats. His disability is most noticeable when he gets very excited.

Lucas

Lucas is a 13-year-old Yorkie Mix in Kew Gardens Hills, NY, who needs $2,000 for Radiation Therapy.

Kew Gardens Hills, NY

Lucas has been part of our lives since he was 6 weeks old. A friend of ours told us about her neighbor whose dog just had a litter and that is how we got Lucas. He currently lives at home with his aunt and grandma. He is 13 years young! Everyone that meets him thinks that he is a puppy because of his high energy. He doesn’t walk he runs and he is the house patrol and always knows where we are! Lucas sleeps on the bed. He takes naps on the couch and on his bed all day. He’s a sleeper. But if he hears the door open or close the first thing he does is bark and then walks over to see who it is. It’s funny that we have new wooden floors and you can hear his clanking from his nails everyone he’s on the run. He is a tough cookie too and a very picky eater. It’s a very expensive treatment that he may need to go through again and these costs are hard for us to cover. We believe that Lucas at 13, has so many more years to enjoy life and we want to give him that opportunity to live until he outlives us! We noticed he had a growth in his lower right jaw and it grew bigger pretty quickly. After we first noticed this we took him to the vet to get it checked out and after some blood tests and a biopsy the vet told us that unfortunately it was oral malignant melanoma. Dr. Farrelly at Blue Pearl in Manhattan is currently treating Lucas with radiation to help slow the spread of his cancer. Lucas, just like Zoolander, can’t turn left. When he gets excited to go out for a walk or for any reason that requires him to do circles he only turns to the right! We don’t know why and we never will, but it’s the cutest thing & we have tried to make him turn left with no success. He’s not friendly at first but warms up eventually. He lives to hang with the boys and will always ask for food!
