Tara

Tara is a 10 year old Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois) in Mico, TX, who needs $11,565 for Splenectomy w/Gastropexy.

Mico, TX

Tara came to us as a puppy from a breeder, but came directly from Europe a little over 10yrs ago and has been our trained service dog ever since. She lives with us in the San Antonio, TX. We named her Tara because she is also protection K9 trained. About 5 years ago she nearly died delivering her only litter of puppies, but her ancient bloodline is a gift from nature. Tara is a 10-year-old Belgian Malinois. On July 25 her abdomen swelled and she began breathing fast and shallow. Two clinics that day confirmed internal bleeding from a ruptured mass on her spleen or liver. Bloodwork showed her red cell count at 29%, below the 37% normal floor. She is now at BluePearl Pet Hospital in San Antonio for ultrasound, stabilization, and surgery. This is an emergency. Tara is our service dog — she alerts me to low blood sugar, braces me on stairs, and she helps me with other mobility problems. She's a side sleeper who rolls onto her back when she feels safe, and she takes food from my wife's hand. Even bleeding internally this weekend, she walked outside on her own, then fell asleep dreaming with her paws running. She's a provider, protecror, and loves us. We are a disabled military family on a fixed income with little to no emergency fund. This bill arrived with no warning, as life does. Tara is not just our dog, she is our working service dog — we depend on her daily. Having her home and healthy means our family stays whole.

Doug

Doug is a 2 Year Old Siberian Husky in New Braunfels, TX, Who Needs $2,000 for Urethrogram and Urethroscopy/Cystoscopy.

New braunfels, TX

Doug was rescued from San Antonio ACS less than an hour before euthanasia after being struck by a vehicle. Now, he’s facing a life-threatening medical crisis: he’s in pain and unable to urinate, which could quickly become fatal without advanced treatment. The vets are draining his bladder twice daily with needle and syringe do to the trauma from the accident. Doug’s most urgent medical crisis is that he’s in pain and struggling to urinate, a sign of possible internal damage to his bladder or urethra. Doug needs funds to undergo urethra endoscopy and repair at Blue Pearl Veterinary Hospital in San Antonio. We need funds for the procedure, anaesthesia and further diagnostic tests. Without medical help, Doug will not survive through the weekend. Even in this state, Doug’s spirit shines. Through his pain, he still tries to call out softly for comfort. He leans in for hugs, offers gentle kisses, and shows love to everyone around him—from his foster caretaker, to the veterinary staff working to ease his discomfort, to the concerned people who love him deeply, his fosters. His gentle heart touches everyone that meets him. Without this care, euthanasia will be the only option to end his suffering. But Doug is still fighting — still giving hugs, kisses, and gentle calls for comfort. He wants to live. He just needs our help. Please donate or share. Every dollar brings Doug closer to safety.

Topaz

Topaz is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in San Antonio, TX, who needs $2,000 for Foreign Linear Body Surgical Removal.

San Antonio, TX

Topaz came to my family and I February of 2020, when she was just a few weeks old. She was following my mom around her work place, and my mom decided to call up my dad so he could bring her home. She’s a little trouble maker, but that’s what I love about her. She’s so energetic and loving, and she plays fetch! Shes the sweetest girl I could ask for. Recently, Topaz has been off. She’s slow, sluggish, hardly acknowledges me. She refuses to eat, and I have to give her water through a syringe. Taking her to BluePearl, they performed an xray and told me that she had a linear foreign body in her lower intestine, and would need surgery to remove it. Of course, I don’t have the money for surgery, so I’ve come here in hopes for help. Topaz is certainly special. She’s an orange cat, so of course she has a few screws loose. She runs for food like she’s starving, she plays fetch nonstop in the living room, she will bolt to the door if we say the word ‘outside’, despite being an indoor cat. She especially loves shoving her face into our faces whenever we are eating or she just decides she wants attention. Topaz is only 5 years old, which is too young for her to be leaving us. She’s been there for me when no one else has, and in her own, special way, makes me feel like everything will be ok. Without her, I can’t imagine where my heart and mind would be.

Honey

Honey is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Corpus Christi, TX, who needs $2,000 for Abdominal Cranial Ultrasound, Needle Biopsy, Mass.

Corpus Christi, TX

Honey came into my life 4 years ago when I was looking for a new companion who could grow into a great gaurd dog. I saw Honey as she was playing with her sibling in the kennel, and she was the cutest thing out of all the pups! I loved her honey colored coat and playfulness, I just had to take her home and she's been My Girl ever since. She loves people and loves I to play with other dogs. She's been sick lately and has already seen the Doctor a few times. Just yesterday it was confirmed that she has a Soft Tissue Opaque Mass on or near the Spleen. She needs a Cranial Abdominal Ultrasound, a Needle Biopsy, and then Mass removal. She was referred to Blue Pearl in San Antonio, TX for treatment. We are raising funds for the treatment she needs. She didn't turn out to be the gaurd dog I was hoping for, she has anxiety and is afraid of loud noises like thunder, but I wouldnt change a thing! She's My Girl and I get the privilege to be a part of her life and care for her. Honey has a brother named Remy, he's a cat, and he recently was sick so we've been visiting the vet's office several times lately and every visit adds up. He is back to being healthy, but financially it's been tight.

Rex is a 1 year old Labrador Retriever in San Antonio, , who needs $2,000 for Cruciate Ligament Surgery.

San Antonio

Rex is my sweet, playful dog who’s been with us since he was 8 weeks old. I got him from my neighbor’s litter and kept his name because he already answered to it. He’s been attached to me from the start and only knows life with me and my family. Our mini goldendoodle, who we had before Rex, loves him just as much as we do. About 6 months ago, Rex injured his leg and was diagnosed with a cruciate injury. His leg is badly swollen, and he can barely walk. He’s in constant pain and has lost his appetite. We gave him all the prescribed medications, but they haven’t helped. He now needs surgery as soon as possible to relieve his pain and help him heal. Rex is the sweetest boy and just loves being near us, cuddling or hanging out indoors. He’s never been an outside dog—he’s always by our side. He used to be so playful, but now he just lays around, and we really miss the old Rex. He’s brought so much joy to our lives, and it’s hard seeing him like this. It would mean the world to have Rex back to his healthy, happy self. Sadly, we don’t have the financial resources to get him the surgery he needs. We’ve been doing our best with everything life has thrown at us, but the cost of his care is more than we can manage right now.

San Antonio, TX

I got this little girl when she was 3 months old after my little Zander passed away from pneumonia. So we named her Zena to remember little Zander as they both name with an “Z” On Nov 5th I took my little chihuahua to her vet for annual check-up and her vet said she was healthy. She received a rabies vaccine and then she started acting abnormal and vision change. Neurologist needs to do MRI to find out what is wrong. She is very special to me and my hubby. Before this unknown illness, a happy little girl full of LOVE, she would do her little prancing around the house. I would pretend I was crying and she would come to me to give me little kisses. At night she loves to go to hubby who has stage 3 cancer and give him kisses before she goes to bed. As an unexpected sudden expense with no emergency fund, the neurologist wants to do an MRI to find out what is going on with her illness. And me & my hubby want to save her eye sight before percent damage.

Cooper was recused from running into the freeway IH35, when she was two months old. I kept her in my office for the day and decided to keep her, she has been with my family for eight years. We also have a cat named Princess and they are best friends. Cooper was named after Amari Cooper who was a wide receiver and my son's favorite player for the Oakland Raiders. Cooper needs hip replacement surgery for both hips. Her hips have deteriorated and are causing pain. Her hip sockets have deteriorated, especially the left hip. She has always been active and now she can't run very well. Dr. Giles at Blue Pearl animal hospital in San Antonio at Stone Oak will be performing the surgeries. My wife Jackie and my special needs son Terry are her favorite people, they are the ones she bonded with, she is my wife's shadow and is very patient caring with my son. She loves being sprayed with the water hose but is scared of thunderstorms and firecrackers. Cooper is always carrying around her bowl or a toy and will use her paws and facial expressions lot to communicate with you, In April my son spent two weeks in the hospital with a staph infection that went septic. We are still recovering from this and I have to have knee replacement surgery on the 20th of November. It has been a trying year.

Nala is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in San Antonio, TX, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Remove Uterus - Hysterectomy.

San Antonio, TX

Nala has been a member of our family for most of her 8 years. My brother adopted her as a puppy and she immediately became best friends with our dad. When my dad was in hospice care last year, Nala was his constant companion. Nala has always been a gentle girl. She knows sit, shake, down and waits patiently when it is time for treats. Nala's appetite and energy level recently began to decline so we took her to the vet. They initially diagnosed her with a urinary tract blockage requiring surgery but today the follow-up tests at BluePearl Veterinary Partners concluded she has Pyometra, a uterine infection that requires immediate surgery. Without the surgery we will have to euthanize because this infection leads to a painful death Nala has always been playful, energetic and silly. She loves all the children in our family and has provided us all with gentle companionship. During my father's last weeks in 2023, she was his constant companion. Since his passing she has become my mom's guardian and shadow. She continues to be a loving and caring furbaby despite being sick and we want to do everything we can for her. There aren't enough words to describe how important Nala's health is to us. We are asking for help because my father's passing in 2023 significantly impacted our family and specifically my mom as she had retired early to care for him. We appreciate any assistance given.

Ben Sanchez is a 7 year old Basset Artésien Normand in Orange grove , TX, who needs $2,000 for MRI to Confirm Cervical Injury and Surgery.

Orange grove, TX

Ben is a rescue from an organization in San Antonio Texas. We originally went in looking for an active dog that could keep up with our active lifestyle but there weren’t any good matches for us at first. On our way out we saw a little chubby brown pup named moose and he decided to let us take him for a walk. Needless to say we fell in love with him and his big brown eyes. Ben is currently partially paralyzed and the vet isn’t sure why at this point. We are scheduled to visit a specialist in San Antonio called Blue Pearl animal Hospital. They seem to think his issue is neurological and will most likely require an expensive surgery ($10000). As my emotional support animal Ben has gotten me through so much. In moments where my anxiety begins to become overwhelming Ben always somehow knows exactly what I need and comes running in to save the day. I would not be here if it weren’t for him. He has saved me many times over. He loves every one he comes in contact with, he’s even apart of our high school power lifting program I coach. My emergency fund would only cover a small part of this and my credit had taken a hit over the last few years due to me being scammed by a credit consolidation company. So I don’t qualify for what I need to help my Ben. My debt to income ratio hurts me due to student loans.

Nanners is a 8 year old CoJack in San Antonio , TX, who needs $2,000 for Periodontal Disease.

San Antonio, TX

I found Nans in Calcaseiu Parish Animal Shelter in Lake Charles, LA 7 years ago. He was less than a year old. I brought him home where he hid in the closet from me for a few weeks, he was terrified of people! Slowly he began to trust me and then he rescued me right back. We’ve been on so many wonderful adventures together. He is my best friend, my family, my sunshine on a cloudy day. Nans situation is dire. He has abscess in 2 places in his teeth, going up into the gums. The infection has spread to his head. His heart is enlarged. Without the surgery Nans is not going to make it. It’s an emergency. His vet is BluePearl Vet Hospital. Nans is the most polite dog I’ve ever met. Obedient, quiet, and extremely intelligent as well. He seems to always know what I’m thinking. He loves to sing and dance around, putting smiles on everyone’s faces.. My sister began to call him the Nanners dog because he is protective of all species of babies, and after she passed away it became his name. My husband was imprisoned 1 year ago due to serve 7 years in TDC. I couldn’t afford the house, and had to move into a hotel 6 months ago. I have no family, a few friends back in my hometown. Nans keeps me going, and smiling, he is such a happy dog. My little ray of hope.

Originally we found Jade on the side of a highway in Seguin, TX. She was skinny and covered in stickier barbs and blood that ended up not being hers. We took her to see if she was microchipped and she was not. We initially were just going to foster her but she absolutely fell in love with my roommate to the point where she pulled me accross a parking lot to get to him whenever she sees him. She loves to run around and jump over a bunch of stuff in my house. Prior to finding out that she needs this surgery we were going to start doing dock diving. She is really funny when she wants something because she just looks at you with puppy eyes and gives a very small dog bark vut then if something isnt the way she wants it she lets out a deep bark that sounds a bit scary. One of her best friends is one of my neightboprs that constantly comes over to play. She also has a dog sitter that she loves because she brings all the treats. She loves the spray bottle that we use for our hair because it is just water. She is a huge talker and even whike i write this is she is looking at me grumbling because she wanted her nyla bone which she threw on the counter. She has just been Diagnosed with something called DLSS which is degenterative lumbosacral stenosis. We brought her in for x-rays after she screamed ging up my stairs out of no where. Within the last 2 weeks we have also done blood work and a ct scan which revealed how bad it truly was. They are recommending surgery to her spine with cost anywhere from $9,836 to $10,566. Unfortunally I am in need of help to pay for this surgery due to me making barely enough right now due to less hours at work to help manage her pain. No one could have imagined this coming as we have had her for less then a year and it was never found in regular exams.

My baby Toby was the first adopted dog in our pack of 4. He was rescued from Animal Defense League at only five to six weeks old. He’s now the oldest of four who have all been rescued. Toby is without a doubt the big brother whom the all look up to. He’s been showing them all the tricks and ropes, and he’s the one to tell the others when they’re playing to rough. He’s a the kindest dog. Toby is the protector of the house and family, but loves visitors once he sees that we’re ok with them. He’s a foodie, and will do anything for a treat! A good ball is his favorite toy, and he enjoys playing tuck with his brothers. His favorite spot is to be curled up between dad’s legs, just like when he was a pup. This has never changed. Toby is very affectionate and know how to express his emotions. At 4:30 sharp, he’ll start tripping around and come to put his head on my leg, as he knows dinner time is approaching and wouldn’t want me to forget. I work from home, so I’m with him most of the day, and can easily sense when there’s something off. He’ll also tell you if you’re holding his toy for too long without throwing. Toby has caught a rare bacterial infection called Nocardia. It started in his ear and was initially thought to be a regular ear infection, however, with little response to meds from his primary vet, a culture was done to confirm his diagnosis. He was transferred to a specialist, who determined a TECA is needed (total ear removal) The surgery cost is between $6000-$7200 and which is a big unexpected expense. Toby does have insurance, but the vast majority of funds are depleted from previous hospitalization back in July which was caused by an immune suppressant disorder.

"She began foaming at the mouth and struggling to breathe, which terrified her foster mom. She was rushed to the emergency hospital at BluePearl Veterinary Partners, where she received lifesaving treatment for aspiration pneumonia." As Iris recovers, the rescue is now struggling to pay her unplanned medical bill. "We need help fundraising for her lifesaving treatment," Courtney says. We cherish the thought of her overcoming the odds stacked against her to recover from this illness and eventually find a loving family of her own."

She walked up to me with a pep in her step, wagging her tail. She was a tiny, skinny, sweet, bright girl, and I was in love. Since then, she has been my best furry friend and my support during tough times," Patricia tells Waggle. But now Patricia is heartbroken; Valentina fractured her leg playing in a dog park and needed urgent surgery. Then Patricia got more devastating news: Valentina's bone did not fuse back together. Now she needs a second surgery! This time she is seeing a specialist at BluePearl Pet Hospital. "They gave me so much hope that she would be OK with another surgery. They treated her with so much kindness and said that with the proper care, she would recover soon," Patricia says. Patricia is trying to raise the money for Valentina's second operation. Hello, I am here to ask for help with our dear pet Daisy. She has been part of our family for 6 years now and she is the best dog. We got her from a family member when she was just 2 months old. We love her so much, she is a half poodle and jack Russell terrier. She is a great dog with our children and such a silly, outgoing girl. Daisy loves to sleep near the kids, she always sneaks in their beds when they are asleep. She enjoys going on walks with our 2 other dogs, Shelia and Lola. She also loves to swim. She is also great with our 2 kittens. She is definitely the mama of the bunch and watches over them all. She loves to eat bacon, as that is her favorite table snack. Daisy is normally a healthy dog and this diagnosis came very sudden for our family of 7. We were only able to afford a little of what could help save her life. I am asking for anyone to please help my poor Daisy get her plasma transfusion and help get her on the meds. My poor Daisy was seen at an emergency care Angels of Mercy here in San Antonio TX. She was having a lot of blood in her urine and was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia. We were unable to afford all the testing she need done along with the very important blood or plasma transfusion she would need to save her live. She were sent home with some medicine that may only help her a bit. Daisy loves stuffed animals and squeaky toys so much. She runs around the house with our other dogs and they play with the stuffed animals. She lives for us to throw them and she will run as fast as she can to be the first to get the toy. She is great with our 4 year old son who is autistic. She seems to understand when he is upset and tries her best to comfort him and make him happy.

Cleto lives with me at my parents house where I stay as I am a commuter in college. Cleto was brought into my life at a time where I was severely depressed and I truly believe he is my angel. He saved me from the worst part of my life and that’s why he means so much to me. He is a yellow lab and he is 2 years old. Cleto is a family friendly dog who loves children! He has been with me for 2 years and has always been the type of dog that wants to make others happy. On my worst day he can sense it and will always cuddle with me and perk me up. Everybody in my house loves something unique about him and he loves to show that unique quality to each person. I am a college student very close to finishing with my nursing degree although I have a lot of student debt. The vet only took full payment so I had to take out a small loan and I’m fighting to pay it back. I need the help more than ever. Cleto has luxating patellas in both legs and was scheduled to go in for surgery to correct the problem one knee at a time. Unfortunately just days before this he tore his ACL and ended up having a tougher surgery called a TPLO and lateral suture. He will need the other leg done when this one heals or else he will tear the other ACL. Cleto loves to play ball, swim, camp, hike, beach and cuddle with people and my families cats. He is a sweetheart and behaves for anybody with no questions asked. He will lick you when you cry, roll on his back to make you laugh and talk to you when you’re lonely. He is truly an angel and deserves the best care.

I ended up falling completely inlove with her and she helped me get through one of the hardest periods of my life. She is my best friend and I cannot imagine a life without her. She and I live alone together which has been a blessing because I don’t live in the safest neighborhood. Rosie and I share a bed together. I always say it’s her house, i’m just paying for it. She loves to swim which really surprised me. Loves to jump in the bath when i’m relaxing in a bubble bath. Loves to howl everytime she hears ambulances. She particularly gravitates towards women and is actually quite shy. I am saving, applying to a couple of credit cards and asking some friends for small loans. I am determined to get her a pain free life. Rosie has been diagnosed with advanced hip dysplasia due to a genetic disorder. I was devastated to hear the outrageous cost and have decided to give Pets Wagge a shot. I am looking at all types of financing and by no means think I will reach everything here, but every little counts! Rosie cries in pain when she gets up and needs total hip replacement (THR). Rosie is actually not scared of thunder which always surprises me when it rains really hard. I have several nicknames for her but she only responds if use them, not any of my friends. In the morning she loves to stretch on her back and more than once I wake up to a paw hitting my face. She loves yoghurt, eggs, and sardines.

Sarabi is a Rhodesian Ridgeback that was rescued from a breeder in New Braunfels, Texas, whose property was damaged by a flood. I have had the pleasure of being her owner for 5 years now. Although I saved her, she was the one who saved me. Since Rhodesians were rumored to be lion hunters back in the day, she was given the name Sarabi which is Simba's mom from Lion King. Sarabi is every bit of the queen her name suggest. She is the head of house without a doubt. She has a little sister that is a Retriever Mix named Adia. She enjoys playing with Adia, but also is quick to let Adia know who is boss. When we go on our hikes she leads the way (off the leash) and makes sure to let Adia know she's off the leash and she isn't. Sarabi is the reason we have a king bed. I am currently asking for supplemental financial assistance to help cover 25 chemotherapy treatments and additional bloodwork/testing for Sarabi. Unfortunately, I do not have the funds needed for this treatment. She was diagnosed on September 24, 2020 with multicentric lymphoma; probable stage III/IV. The treatment plan is The University of Wisconsin/CHOP canine lymphoma protocol. If successful, survival time is estimated between 12-18 months. Sarabi's middle name is Love, and she will answer to it. She was given that nickname because from the moment I picked her up she showered me with kisses. From that point on that has been her thing. It's like she can sense when you are feeling down or having a bad day and she will sneak up on you and shower you with kisses and love.

I got Gracie about 3 weeks ago. she is such a great dog. Shes a miniature schnauzer and she 4 years old. I got her from my mom who got her from a friend. They coudn't take care of her and when I saw her I fell in love. She follows me everywhere and she loves to sit on my lap. Shes really a great dog. She lives with me and my boyfriend.Ii have another dog and her name is Athena. They don't mind each other. We live in the country so she always have a place to run around. Gracie loves to watch TV and take naps while I work. She has such a great energy that comes off of her. Shes funny and she seems to love us a lot. I recently switched jobs. I don't start until a week from now, and I had no clue she was having a baby. I really didn't make a lot and my bills are piling up. I don't even have money save because I live check to check most of the time. So I only had her for about 3 weeks. Saturday morning she was making a weird noise and I went to the bathroom and she had a puppy. I had no idea she was pregnant. She looked small and not big. Well she had two puppies but the first one passed away. Then the second one I tore the sack open for her because she couldnt the first one. She brings the baby stuff toys and cares for him like I never saw. When someone comes over she starts to bark and bark and bark. When I come home shes so happy - she jumps and licks me she starts to make a crying sound like shes happy. When I feed her she runs to the kitchen and she knows when she is about to eat. She is really a great baby. she makes life so much better with her in it

Right now she’s breathing with minimal life in her facial structure.I called and spoke with a clinic near me Bluepearl pet hospital in mesquite hospital, I was denied pet care credit and They said I need to get her in ASAP but I don’t have the funds.. Renni somehow swallowed a presidential pin that you pin to your suit she puked it up. Shiva

Shiva is a 8-year-old German Shepherd mix in San Antonio, TX, who needs $2,000 for chemotherapy.

San Antonio, TX

It's one of the worst moments in a pet owner's life, the moment a veterinarian tells you your pet has cancer. Crystal A. had a feeling something was wrong with her precious dog, Shiva. "Shiva started acting lethargic and down," she tells Waggle. "But when she started not wanting to eat, we knew something was wrong. Our poor baby was diagnosed with lymphoma and possible hemangiosarcoma cancers." The only option for treatment is chemotherapy. That dreaded news hit Crystal and her husband, who is unable to work due to health problems, hard. The couple depleted their emergency fund and are completely panicked about how to pay for Shiva's treatment. They just don't have the money. And the thought of not trying to save Shiva is even more heartbreaking. Shiva also has a spark in her! She knows lots of tricks and loves to show off. Her family just can't imagine life without her. The oncology team at Blue Pearl Veterinary Specialty and Emergency pet hospital are ready to start treatment but the family needs your help. The sweet dog is the heart and soul of her family. "Shiva loves to sunbathe in her downtime, but she also loves to go for walks and play fetch with her favorite ball," Crystal adds. "Something she hasn't lost joy for while sick, though she has slowed down. She is gentle and loving even when our young daughter is a little too exuberant." "Shiva is the glue that holds her pack, a brother and sister together," Crystal says. "Shiva was a stray that wiggled her way into our hearts when she was about four-months-old. She has traveled the world with us; from Georgia to Hawaii, to Virginia and to Texas. It is not easy being part of a military family."

Shiva was a stray that wiggled her way into our hearts when she was about 4 months old. She has traveled the World with us; from Georgia, to Hawaii, to Virginia and to Texas. It is not easy being part of a military family! She has been strong and excited every step of the way, but flying to and from Hawaii was by far the most stressful trip for us and for her! Shiva loves to sunbath in her downtime, but she also loves to go for walks and play fetch with her favorite ball! Something she hasn't lost joy for while sick, though she has slowed down. She is gentle and loving even when our young daughter is a little to exuberant. She loves doing tricks like; sit, lay, stay, up (stand on back legs) and spin. We have 3 dogs. Our dog Bella had diagnostics for growths around her body months ago. That combined with moving to and from Hawaii a couple years ago depleted our pet emergency fund. My husband is also unable to work due to health problems. Shiva started acting lethargic and 'down' starting in January. We thought it was just part of us moving and her reacting to it (again!), but come April when she started not wanting to eat, we knew something was wrong. The vet found her lymphnodes and spleen swollen. Our poor baby was diagnosed with Lymphoma and possible hermangiosarcoma cancers. The only option for treatment is chemotherapy. Shiva is the glue that holds her pack (a 'brother and 'sister') together. She lays with them both and tries to play, even when they would rather lay down. While her barking at us can be annoying, we know that when she barks she either wants to go out to play or needs something! She also enjoys 'stalking' birds in the backyard!
