Fairbanks, AK

I got Igor at 4 weeks because his mom was killed he has two dogs who love him and have been there his whole life we live in a great neighborhood with a great yard and we spend so much of our time together. We go camping and fishing the three of my pets all sleep in the same bed and have since the day we all found each I am Igor’s forever home and just can’t see my life without Igor. Every time I come home Igor races his dogs to greet me he’s such a part of everyday to me. I wake up he’s holding my hand or snuggling with one of the dogs. He follows me every way and loves to be in the shower with me. He’s such a sweet sweet boy he loves to play fetch too! I just want him to be ok He’s so empathetic to anyone and just wants to butt his head everywhere!! Igor is an absolute joy to me that’s why I gave him JOY as his middle name!! He fetches and holds hands with me and is always included in everything we do and go. He loves everyone and makes that known..without him my life will be empty His bladder was over full and almost burst, so he's at the animal hospital!! I had no idea this was a possibility!! I noticed his behavior right away and knew something was the matter I’ve never been so worried thank the lord for the people at the clinic idk what I’d do otherwise I just want him home again My boyfriend died unexpectedly and forced me to have to relocate to the city 100 miles away. It has been hard financially finding a home which I did and money has been tight

Percy

Percy is a 4-year-old Orange Tabby Cat in North Pole , AK, who needs $2,000 for Perineal Urethrostomy.

North Pole, AK

Percy was my husbands cat and one of the reasons we got together. We met on tinder and he sent me pictures of Percy after talking for a little bit and asked if I’d like to meet him. So I went over to meet my sweet boy and we’ve been best friends ever since. Percy does everything with me. He sits with me doing my hobbies, doing chores, I’ve even taken him to work. It’s been like that for 2yrs now. Percy is a very talkative cat. He’s always meowing to everyone his brother and sister (also cats) or his humans. He’s very playful as well he’s always playing with the boring stuff too. He sleeps with my husband and I every night. Percy also stays connected at the hip when any of us are sad or sick. I had a major surgery done and he would never leave me alone to make sure I was okay. He’s always been an inside cat but he loves windows and time outside. He comes outside to workout with me or tend my garden with me just to soak up the sunlight. He also has this charm about him. Everyone who has ever met Percy has loved him. Even those who swears they hate cats. Percy is everyone’s cat. He is very lovey as well and he makes sure you know he wants attention. Percy had issues with not being able to pee due to blockage. With that his kidneys started to shut down and was in a lot of pain. He’s had this issue once before so this time the vet recommended surgery to give him female parts to try and stop the blockage for the future. He’s gotten the surgery and is doing amazing now. We were going to put Percy down b/c costs for the two surgeries were going to be too much for us to handle. Thankfully, our friends refused to let that happen and helped us put a little down on the surgery. 6 of us went in & paid some costs. Showing how much love he has.

Winston

Winston is a 6-year-old Sheepadoodle Dog in North Pole , AK, who needs $1,300 for Amputation.

North Pole, AK

My fiancé and I adopted Winston when his previous owners had to re home him. He has lived with us and been a part of our family since February. He is one of four dogs in our house. We have another 6 month old puppy and two foster dogs. Winston’s favorite place in the whole house is right on top of our pillows when we lay in bed. Winston is such a sweet boy. He gets along so well with every other dog that he’s met. He’s so playful and very energetic. He loves to play with out other puppy, bear. They’re the same age so they get along really well too. He does amazing with kids and is a huge cuddle bug. He’s a very fast learner as well. Winston in general is just a very goofy dog. He loves to give hugs, he nudges you with his head to show he wants affection, and he shows his belly for belly rubs too. He can be very vocal at time as well. He likes to play with the water in his bowls, and he has a very goofy smile, it’s pretty obvious to see he’s smiling when you look at him. Winston broke his leg while he was playing with one of our other dogs. With the location of the break, our only real option for him is amputation. The amputation is going to cost around $3000. Our goal is to raise enough for the 50% deposit so we can get him the procedure. We just want our happy boy to be out of pain. With me being pregnant and both my fiancé and I needing surgery, neither of us are medically cleared to work full time. We do both have part time jobs but that’s nowhere near enough to cover our bill and Winston procedure but we are setting aside everything we can.

Photo of Mattie

Mattie

Mattie is an eight-year-old Poodle mix in Fairbanks, AK, who needs $1,300 for emergency dental treatment.

Fairbanks, AK

Mattie's owner adopted her five years ago. They love each other deeply. But recently, her owner landed in the hospital after a tragic accident and can't leave until both her broken ankles heal. Right now the best friend of Mattie's owner is caring for the dog. Mattie just developed a horrendous dental condition, and now she needs help. She had a sudden infection go from unnoticeable to horrible at the same time as her owner's accident. Her teeth became so painful she couldn't eat. She needs urgent dental surgery at Chena Veterinary Clinic to clean up her teeth and ease her pain. Everyone is struggling to pay for Mattie's surgery. Both Mattie's owner and her best friend are on disability. They said to Waggle, "Any help would be so appreciated to reduce our burden. Chena Vet is helping keep costs low; maybe you can help two older women and our little dog?" Mattie means the world to her owner. She is a small sweet girl who doesn't want to do much but hang out in her owner's arms. She adores treats, pets, and gentle affection. She is a quiet observer, well-natured, and never ceases to bring joy to her owner and her friends.

Photo of BOOTS

BOOTS

BOOTS is a 15-year-old Tuxedo Cat in Fairbanks , AK, who needs $2,000 for tumor removal surgery.

Fairbanks, AK

This adorable little boy is Boots but he also goes by Piglet. He was born 15 years ago in a high-school pig pen in California. He has always been a shy guy and preferred indoors but up until 3 years ago he packed his bags and ventured to Alaska! Where he lives happily and comfortable here in fairbanks. Boots has two loving parents and one baby sister named pumpkin. She's a calico cat who's 13 years younger than him. Even though there's an age gap Boots always takes time to take care of his sister. They love to nap together. When family drops by for a visit he's shyness gets the better of him and hides, although he won't hide long because he loves head rubs and food. This unexpected medical bill has been hard and concerning. Covid has been hard to find a job and our income is very limited. All we want is Boots to have a chance at the longest, happiest life possible. Boots has unfortunately been diagnosed with a tumor on his intestines requiring surgery to remove it. It has created a blockage, causing constipation and forcing him to not eat due to being unable to pass his food. He has lost half his body weight. He's has gotten really skinny and walking has been a strain. The amazing staff at Chena Vet Clinic are doing everything they can to help our boy. Boots favorite activities involve sun bathing on his back, making a nest in the hallway with any peice of clothing that he can get his paws on, and being a personal alarm clock every morning at 7am on the dot, to wake up his parents by tapping or licking their faces. Also whenever a bubble is blown and floating around, Boots will stop at nothing to pop it ☺

Photo of Trinity

Trinity

Trinity is a 6-year-old Boxer/Lab in Fairbanks, AK, who needs $1,900 for Surgical Hematoma Repair and Post-Care.

Fairbanks, AK

One Christmas 6 years ago, Trinity came to me at 6 weeks old, the runt of the litter and unwanted. Our family likes to tell me I saved her, but the reality is she saved me. We have been living together every since that Christmas day, in Fairbanks, Alaska. I fell on hard times and do my best to provide for her, sacrificing sometimes myself in order to make her as comfortable and happy as possible. Trinity is extremely loving with everyone in the household and out in public. She has the most genuinely happy and outgoing personality. She loves to make sure everyone is okay, if you're sitting still for too long she will be sure to come over for some pets and loving. She is my sunshine every day and is always sure to make me smile through play and pets. Recently, my gallbladder exploded. I passed out from the rupture. My life was saved by Trinity, who woke me up in time to call 911. I underwent surgery, and now have bills I can't pay for myself. She saved my life, all I want now is for her life to be what she deserves. For the past few weeks Trinity had been shaking her head. I felt horrible for her but had no money to pay for help. Her ear couldn't take it anymore and expanded to the size of a baseball. Not knowing what could be done, I drove to Chena Veterinary Clinic, where they accepted Trinity for care, knowing they would not receive payment. They preformed emergency surgery on her ear, and follow up care. Trinity's facial expressions are priceless. She uses her eyebrows and smile to tell me what she's thinking. She is so bright, literally she can open doors. Sometimes, she sits and watches the world, appearing very wise and omniscient. Her ways of communicating and living bring such joy to my heart, and to everyone who crosses her path.
