Charlie
Charlie is a 9 year old Golden Retriever in Vancouver, WA, who needs $1,500 for X-rays, Bloodwork, and Surgery or Liver Treatment.
Vancouver, WA
When I got Charlie he was so small. He was 8 weeks old and he was sick. I found out he had Parvo. I took him home and did inpatient care with Iv and meds 24/7. He miraculously healed! I have had him for 9 years. I have been through a lot in life while I have had him and he’s been just a huge blessing and comfort. I am the most attached to this dog. He loves dog daycare and the dog park. About a month ago I noticed Charlie smacking his lips quite a bit. I wasn’t sure what it was. Two weeks later his breath started to smell like a dead animal. I took him to the vet and they are not sure if it is a blockage or liver disease. The vet needs to do X-rays and bloodwork. The vet is Columbia River Vet ER hospital Everyone loves Charlie! At his daycare, they want to clone him because he is so amazing. He loves to play catch, swim, run on the beach and he even will hang out and watch a movie with me. He loves grandma and grandpa and my son. I have had many animals in my past but there is just something special about this dog. I get paid in two weeks, but Charlie cannot wait that long. If I can get the help here, I will donate it back once I get paid. My son moved out a few years ago and Charlie is all that I have now. I don’t know what I would do without him and I don’t want to think about that.

Yepi
Yepi is a 9 year old Labrador Retriever in Vancouver, WA, who needs $1,997 for Bilateral TPLO.
Vancouver, WA
Meet my 9 yr old girl Yepi. She is the reason I became active in the rescue world. I wanted to make sure I was responsible enough to give her the best life. She was under a whole pet insurance policy before they dropped that policy! I could not foresee that at all! Yepi also now has a rescue sibling that was dumped and I could not turn a blind eye to when I discovered her. She recently tore her CCLs in her hind legs and went from being a ball loving labrador to barely limping outdoors to relieve herself. Her life has changed overnight. The surgeon at Columbia River Veterinary Specialist believes she can recover back to her normal self after a bilateral TPLO procedure on her hind knees. She is most human loving goofy labrador girl there is. She has been through so much, she also had a mandibulectomy - tumor removed from her jaw at age 3. She's a survivor! I would love for her to live her best life for her remaining years, doing the things she loves. When Yepi no longer had insurance, I started putting her premium into an emerg fund..until I came across an abandoned, hungry, thirsty, confused pup who desperately needed help. Who continues to need help -recently diag w glaucoma and I used Yepi's funds to save her vision

Winnie
Winnie is a 16 month old Mix-Breed in Portland, OR, who needs $2,000 for Bilateral TPLO Surgery.
Portland, OR
On 12/18/2023, Rebecca rang the bell to finish treatment of Stage III cervical cancer. We had just lost our 7 lb chihuahua Joey the week before, but it was a day of hope. Christina forwarded her a video of a sad looking puppy being cradled by a rescuer at Many Miles 2 Home in Oregon. That puppy, Winter Rose (Winnie), came home to us on 12/19/23. She joined a 12 year old old chi and 4 cats Winnie started limping after playing in October, and activity reductions made the limp better for days at a time, but it cam back worse. Our vet diagnosed her with a CCL tear on one, possibly two legs. The cost of the surgery is intimidating but Winnie has a long life ahead of her. After a consult with Columbia River Vet Specialists, we scheduled a bilateral TPLO on 1/13/25. Winnie is quite a character. As a boxer, she talks with her paws, runs fast, and loves to start a chase where she's in the lead. She's very vocal and says what's on her mind - the best thing is the deep sigh she lets out when she's ready to fall asleep at night. Winnie picked Otto as her furever play and cuddle buddy while he was fostered at her day care, so we rescued him in August. Rebecca's a trusted dog walker/cat sitter who's been rebuilding her health this year. Christina is a p/t clinic nurse with a small private coaching practice. We are struggling to pay off debts AND care for pets/house/life. We have time to help Winnie, but not the money.

Link
Link is a 6-month-old Pomeranian Chihuahua Mix in Battle Ground , WA, who needs $2,000 for Hospitalization.
Battle Ground, WA
Link is a sweet, loving Pomchi that was taken in from a puppy mill. The plan was to rehabilitate him, then find him a home, but we all immediately got attached, and he became family. He was brought back to good health, and has been living a happy life up until this weekend when everything took a turn for the worst. Without a diagnosis yet the estimate for care is already several thousand dollars. Link hasn't been with us long, but he's quickly become a part of the family. We all love him dearly, but my two daughters (6 months, and 2 years), have gotten the most attached. Link never misses a chance to snuggle with them during their naps. He also enjoys going on runs with my 8 year old, and chasing him around the yard, but even when he's hyper, he'll stop what he's doing to cuddle. We're still awaiting tests, and diagnosis. Unfortunately with COVID and loss of work, we can't afford the vet bills. We'd have to choose between our home, or the dog. My kids will be devastated. Link came from poor conditions, but quickly made a recovery, so we thought. Everything was great for a while, then out of nowhere he started losing weight. Thinking it could be worms, he was treated accordingly. Then Saturday September 26th we woke up to vomit everywhere. He couldn't even keep water down. We had made plans to take him to the vet Monday, but ended up rushing him to the ER Sunday. Other than my kids, Link's best friend is our German Shepherd, Odin. The two couldn't be more opposite, but they get along so well, and adore each other's company. He gets along great with absolutely everyone. There hasn't yet been any person, or animal, that Link hasn't made friends with. He is the most lovable little pup I've ever met.
Scout
Scout is a Spotted Tabby kitten in Vancouver , WA, who needs $2,000 for an autoimmune disease .
Vancouver, WA
Scout is one of six boys in his litter. His first mama injured her back and was unable to keep the babies. All six of the little guys were taken to Second Chance and placed in foster care. All of his siblings had been adopted except Scout. I walked into Pet Smart, took one look at him and asked if I could hold him. It was love at first sight. I brought Scout home to meet his new Italian Greyhound sisters, 13 yr old Lola and 16 year old Romy. Scout was a little hesitant at first but quickly realized how much fun they could have playing together. Tragedy struck a month after Scout arrived when we lost Lola suddenly to cancer. We were devastated. During this sad time, Scout has brought all of us together with love and happiness. Scout is severely anemic and fighting everyday to generate his own blood. He has an amazing will to survive and doesn’t know he is sick. Your donations are greatly appreciated. Please help us save Baby Scout.... Scout was taken in for his vaccine, once home, his injection site and gums started bleeding and would not stop. He was rushed to the Vet and immediately transferred to Columbia River Veterinary Hospital ICU. After multiple tests and blood transfusions it was determined that Scout has an autoimmune deficiency. His blood would not clot and he is not generating new blood. He almost died. Scout is a one of a kind. His personality and facial expression are comical. He can put on a grumpy face that makes grumpy cat look happy. He enjoys swinging on the patio swing and hanging with his pal Yams in his catio. He’s best friends with Mac, a 110 lb Doberman/Belgian Malinois mix. In Scout's spare time he loves watching squirrels, hunting flies and playing in the water.
