Rolfe

I took Rolfe in at 14 weeks from an irresponsible pet owner whose dogs had an “unexpected litter” and he’s been with me for 4 years. Rolfe is my heart and soul and gave me a reason to get up every morning when I was really struggling with PTSD. I also have Rolfe’s litter mate Bo, that my brother took in at the same time for the same reason, but my brother is currently stationed on base in Alaska. Rolfe fully tore his CCL in his left hind leg and significantly partially tore the CCL in his right hind leg earlier this year. I was able to get him TPLO surgery for his left leg back in may, but less than 4 mnths later Rolfe has developed an awful cracking in his right leg and it is clear he already needs his next TPLO. I’ve only been able to put together half the cost of his next surgery so far Rolfe is such a strong willed, independent and happy dog. He isn’t letting his leg problems stop him from being true to himself! Rolfe is sweet and gentle as a butterfly, great with kids and loves all people and other creatures. Rolfe is so well loved by everybody who meets him and is known as the gentle giant of the neighborhood. He’s even featured in the Dogs of Covington Ky 2025 calendar! Rolfe just had $5800 TPLO surgery back in may and 4 months later needs it again for the other back leg. I’m a full time social worker for a non profit and am pinching every penny I can. But there hasn’t been enough time between surgeries to put together another $5800
Gunnar

I adopted Gunnar from a rescue about 3 years ago. He was a senior dog which can be hard to get adopted. When we met, I swear that he took one look at me and decided that I was his mom,; he tried to play it "cool"....for a few minutes, until he showed his belly for his favorite belly rubs. Gunnar means "brave warrior". (There are no other pets in the home.) Gunnar has 2-3 masses on his belly. The most concerning one has grown significantly in the last 4 months and will eventually interfere with his mobility. Though our vet at Eastgate Animal Hospital states that this is not emergency, it is becoming more urgent and therefore needs to be addressed sooner than I can save up the money. Gunnar is my adventure buddy, up for anything and everything. He loves to swim. He loves to zoom and roll on the ground. His favorite toy is "rope duck", which his "aunties", my chosen sisters, make sure he is always well stocked with. (He just adores his aunties!) Gunnar and I are a registered pet therapy team, where he spreads doggie joy to many adults and kids. I'm low income due to disability. Though I work part-time, I struggle to make ends meet, let alone build an emergency fund. I also have had multiple surgeries over the last 4 years which have resulted in a significant amount of lost income.

Zuko is a rescue, he showed up at our front door step basically bones, scar across his nose, he was just lost. Hes the most loving, friendliest, and just all the way the perfect pet you could imagine to have apart of your family/pack!! Doesnt have a mean bone in him, hes probably one ofnthe best dogs ive ever had. Recently we have discovered that Zukos got a large lump growing on his eyelid, its gotten infected. We went to a vet and they prescribed us antibiotics thinking it was an abscess i didnt have the money for the tests, which made it worse.. I finally got a doctor to do a biopsy without charging me an arm and leg and they decided surgery's the only way to save my baby dog at this point.. Anybody and everybody that hes encountered has absolutely adored him. he is so friendly it's to the point to where it almost scares me. He doesn't cause any trouble he's good with other dogs, he's always ready to go outside and play alwa. I don't know what kind of life he had before but I definitely did everything I can to give him the love he deserves and then some, and it shows. Came home to take care of my grandma that has dementia. The house is going into probate which it leaves us with a little less than a month to get out and get a place to live, I just need a little help. Hes made it this far, and i cant give up on him now. I adopted Oogie a year ago. Is literally all I have I am on social security I make less than $500 a month to survive on I'm afraid he might have parvo and I'm trying to do everything I can to save his life if he does. He is my best friend he means absolutely the world to me and I can't lose my little guy any help would be greatly appreciated He is a loving puppy he is so sweet he loves kids he loves to play he's very protective very loyal sleeps with me every night he's literally my best friend in this entire world He's so goofy whenever people walk by the door or window his his ears perk up and he just wants to play he loves other dogs loves cats gets along with cats great I'm afraid that he might have parvo and I'm just trying to get help in any way possible to make sure that he does it he has his rabies shots I do everything I can to take care of him and provide for him and make sure that he's okay but this time is a little too cost-efficient I am currently on SSDI I make less than 500 a month to survive on and unfortunately it's not enough to cover his medical bills if it's needed I just need any help possible to make sure that he's okay his current that is Eastgate pet hospital off of state route Old 74
