Tater Ramos

Tater Ramos is a 8-year-old Deer head chihuahua in Hewitt , TX, who needs $700 for Type 1 canine diabetes.

Hewitt, TX

I rescued Tater at 8 weeks old, at the time I was recovering from a rare blood disease called Guillainbarre Syndrome, my doctor recommended maybe a service animal due to struggling with memory loss. I started training tater immediately teaching him the scents of my medications and letting him smell my mouth at different times. He was able to tell me /remind me to take my medications. This little guy was an amazing blessing, he saved my life in so many ways and now I need help saving his. He was then certified in Dallas as a service dog and so smart that he was certified off leash. It was just us two for a year until I found my now wife. Tater is more than a pet, he is like a child. He is so loving and special. I’m disabled and on a fixed income and with the Covid-19 pandemic my wife’s hours have been cut making staying afloat hard. Tater has brought so much joy to so many people and again has saved my life many times, Keeping him alive and well as long as possible is so important. About 3 months ago, Tater was diagnosed with type 1 canine diabetes and has been put on Vetsulin insulin shots twice a day as well as a prescription food. He has to visit the vet once a week for glucose curve test. The fees have quickly added up with his visits being between $80-$180 each week and medications being about $275 a month which includes the prescription foods. He is my best friend, he has a certain ball that he loves to play with and loves treat time! Tater loves going for walks and hikes but also loves to just sit and cuddle. Due to my health improving and his health declining, I have since retired him as a service dog and he is now just one of our kids.

Bandit

Bandit is a 8-year-old Chihuhua mix in Beckley, WV, who needs $400 for Intensive care for parvo.

Beckley, WV

Bandit has been apart of the family for 3 weeks and within that 3 weeks he has comeback to mean so much to us. He is our “Puppa” seeing him so sick and knowing there isn’t much we can do breaks our hearts. He is our cuddle buddy, his human sisters playmate, and someone who brings us so much absolute joy. Bandits favorite place to sleep is behind his mommy’s neck. His favorite thing to play with is his bunny with his sisters. He loves to play tag with his daddy and if daddy is wearing his cargo pants then bandit has to be in the pocket. Car rides are a must or he is not a happy puppy. He loves to curl up with his sisters and brother and watch cartoons. Due to the pandemic only one parent isn’t working and it isn’t enough to cover everything so therefore we are unfortunately having to ask for assistance. Typically we don’t ever but in this case it’s a need. Bandit is currently being treated at Paws and Claws Animal Clinic in Shady Springs WV for the parvo virus. It happened fairly quickly we thought we were in the clear but we are not. His litter mates are all sick, 1 has been tested for parvo and it was negative but he is still sick. Another was tested and was positive and passed away. We knew it was a chance but he seemed healthy but he wasn't. Bandit loves to chew on daddy to wake him up and kiss mommy to wake her up. As soon as feet hit the floor it’s playtime. Although he is the size of a banana he thinks he’s the size of a mastiff and his attitude just makes you laugh. He dances on his back paws to “fight with you” meanwhile attacking you’re face with plenty of kisses.

Theodore

Theodore is a 2-year-old Himalayan in Collins, IA, who needs $1,797 for Urinary Blockage.

Collins, IA

We done our research and discovered Theos breed was the best fit for us. So we brought him home and the 3 children argued on a name for 2 weeks and I finally said its Theodore cuz they had narrowed it down to that and another one. I drove 4 hrs to get him and he ended up attaching himself to my son. And they are inseparable. Theo has more dog like personalities than cat I think. He plays A LOT! My son may be his but the little turkey sleeps right on my chest every night so I can't roll or toss and turn all night cuz I mustn't disturb him and his beauty sleep. He plays hide seek with my son its the cutest thing ever. When he finds my son he meows and he plays tug o war with him and follows us around like a lost puppy and is very vocal. He loves his humans and we can't live without him. Am disabled as of Jan 2020 was almost killed. I'm divorced due to husband leaving me after accident, I do not get any help from him and live off of barely enough for necessities let alone this huge vet bill. Ill go without first before I lose Theo. Praying for help for him. He is prone to UTI'S And is in the hospital right now on the 3rd day with a major urinary blockage. I found him in the afternoon when I came home almost unresponsive and I rushed him to the pet hospital where he is still at to save his life. We just cannot afford all the costs adding up but we cannot live without him. Hes one of us. I did purchase ins as of today but it won't cover this incident. We rescued his mom, dad and sister later on due to his daddy having to be fixed so they didn't want them anymore. He's close to his dad and his sister and him play constantly. He loves his fishing pole with a mouse attached, he talks all day long to us like we understand catglish. He also gives a whole new meaning to curiosity killed the cat. The nosiest cat I've ever seen!

Dollar Bill

Dollar Bill is a 13-year-old Pitbull in Sacramento, CA, who needs $2,000 for Liver Liobectomey.

Sacramento, CA

I got Dollar Bill from a friend that did not want him anymore and when I looked at his cute little face, I couldn't let him take him to the shelter. Its been 13 years with me and Dollar ever since. Me and Dollar live together in a small home with a big enough backyard where he can go out side and sniff and sunbathe. He is incredibly sweet and gentle with kids and all other animals that he comes across. My grandmother did not like pitbulls at first but when she met him, she changed her outlook on the breed and started to become an advocate for them. I have never met one person that did not love him, his floppy ears and innocent face will melt anyones heart away. I was a server at a family owned restaurant until COVID-19 shutdown and they are unable to reopen soon. My unemployment and this pandemic should not cost my best friends life. I will do anything to have more time with him. He's been with me through thick and thin for 13 years Dollar Bill is diagnosed with Mast Cell Tumor (MCT) in his lymph nodes and liver. Its a cancer of a type of blood cell involved in the body's response to allergens and inflammations. He will need surgery and chemotherapy at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Center where Dr.Runyan will take care of him. Dollar Bill had one surgery already last month and this is the last stretch till he's fully healthy. His floppy ears and puppy face will make you give him whatever he wants! He is 13 years old and his face will still make anyone melt. If he wants anything he will whine like a little baby all sad and will start awooing if you ignore him. I am lucky to experience his love everyday. His favorite thing in the world is to lay on my lap and rub his face to sleep and he will whine if i stop.

Poppy

Poppy is a 1-year-old Pitbull in Bartlesville, OK, who needs $600 for Emergency Surgery and Follow-Up.

Bartlesville, OK

We rescued Poppy off of a man from Facebook after being at risk of being put down. She received her name Poppyseed, to go with our food theme along with her siblings, a 12 year old boxer named Ginger, a two year old tortoise shell cat named Wasabi, and a two year old persian/maine coon cat named Mochi. As well as a ode to Princess Poppy from Trolls! Poppy loves to give kisses to anyone and everyone she runs into, along with the addition of a few bites! She is like a rocket who drinks 10 redbulls an hour! She is always full of energy and when she finally tuckers out, she is all for sleeping upside down. You can find her upside down on any couch or bed in the house. We didn't have a savings in place for an accident to happen but fortunately we were able to receive some help from Scratchpay. My husband is the sole caretaker at home and we continue to do our best with what we are given. Poppy broke her leg after escaping the backyard. She was able to get emergency surgery right after. She was treated at Bartlesville Animal Hospital. She was in a cast for two months and in March got her cast removed. We used Scratchpay for pay $700 and just paid it off. We are now paying the remainder of the $1300 bill. Poppy loves to spend time with her older sisters. She enjoys chasing them around the house and in the backyard! She loves her bright green toy rope amd her Kong ball filled with a treat and peanut butter. Although she goes through toy ropes every week, she will never run out! She is that spoiled, no worries there!

Mira

Mira is a 2-year-old Manx/tabby in Hamptonville, NC, who needs $800 for emergency medical treatment.

Hamptonville, NC

We found Mira as a kitten on the side of the hwy he was so tiny but highly loving. He loves to jump around and play at least when he was little now he like to sit around and watch everything. Hes a proud papa of a little of kittens. He's a manx tabby mix. He wont leave his momma alone for long, he's always with her. He's pretty much her service animal notifies people when she has seizure. Mira loves to eat and play around with the other cats. He loves to go outside and walk around. That's how he got hurt - he snuck outside. He loves to sit and watch everyone. When Laina is home, he's all about her. Mira won't leave her alone he even jumps into her arms just to cuddle her. That cat is her entire world. We both work and dont make much money. The animals in our house eat better then we do half the time they are our kids. I get 9$ an hr she gets 8$ an hour most of not all our money go into Bill's or making sure the cats and dog have everything they could possibly want or need He got outside Thursday night and when he finally decided to come home he was hurt. You could smell bleach coming off him. It looks like someone threw it all over him. He is still having issues breathing and is throwing up now. He doesn't really eat and we are syringe feeding him water because he doesn't do it on his own. He is definitely a talker and does some pretty cool tricks. Like he jumps into Laina arms and he actually sounds like he says words like no and what. He notifies people when she's had seizures and will help her with the after effects. He will help manage the other animals in the house too, we have one of his kittens and a puppy who is rambunctious and he gets her to calm down.

Fiona

Fiona is a 1-year-old orange tabby in CANON CITY, CO,, who needs $108 for checkup, 3 year shots, nails trimmed.

CANON CITY, CO, CO

A police woman has 2 children and lives in Colorado Springs. Her son started developing severe allergies over the kitty so I found her situation on craigslist and we arranged to meet. A friend & I drove there and this kitty ran out to greet us, got on top of her cat tree and rolled over so that we could pet her belly. My Apt is neat & clean & Fiona has a full life. We're best friends! Fiona keeps me company. I am a widow. I lost my husband 7 years ago and I live on a modest budget but I really need her and she shows me that she needs me. She makes me very happy to get up each morning. She's a typical orange tabby; very sweet and loving and very funny! Lots of windows and views for Fiona! I have 3 cat trees! I'm a widow for 7 years now. My husband outlived his term life insurance by 1 year. I live on $1018 month and that includes my rent, which is $191 per month. I pay electric and have no TV. I just use the internet to get my news or email my 3 grandkids in California. In a few months she will need an FVRCP, and a RABIES shot, I would like to get the 3 year shot on both of these because it's less visits to the VET which stresses her out. My eyesight isn't that good so I'd really like to have her nails trimmed. Fiona will see Fremont Veterinary Hospital in Canon City, CO with Dr. Ashley Metcalfe DVM. I live nearby a pond so Fiona has lots of Cat TV. She watches squirrels and ducks and birds most of the morning then naps the day away until early evening. She wiggles her behind when the squirrels come up to her windows. She misses me when I'm gone for an hour and talks to me when I get home. She likes a very clean litter box, un perfumed so I keep it that way for her.
