We adopted Shane from the shelter for my brother's birthday and we named him Shane inspired by the film "Radio Flyer" about two brothers and their German Shepard. Shane is now suffering from a sever knee injury. We have tried conservative methods such as rest and medication, surgery for his torn ligament is being recommended since he's not getting better. The possibility of losing mobility in his back leg for lack of proper care in due time would be too devastating for words. He thinks hes a lap dog and he'll sit on you as if he is, if you are on the floor he'll make sure to land right on you. He destroys plushies and is very food-morivated, he loves bone broth on top of his kibble. We as a family don't make nearly enough to cover the medical expenses to save Shane's leg. To have support at a time like this would mean everything to us, we've done all we can with all we can and now its up to the community to help us save Shane.
Chance

I rescued Chance from the Animal Foundation in Las Vegas 8 years ago and this big goof is my best friend. He is such a big lover and I hate seeing him in pain as he is. I am a 67-year old disabled elder on social security and government assistance just trying to get by and my dog is my baby. Chance has a skin cancer lesion on his underbelly which is oozing an bleeding and is in need of removal. Green Valley Animal Hospital in Las Vegas is his vet and has been for 8 years, but they will not give me a discount or payment plans to effectuate this surgery as it is not their practice to do so. I need help to have this surgery performed on my boy!!! Chance loves sleeping with me in my bed and is a talker -- thinks he's human, I swear!!! He follow me everywhere and watches me like a hawk. I can't get out of his sight!!! I am a 67-year old disabled elder living on Social Security -- barely getting by -- and have government assistance with payment of my Medicare premium and medical care. It is important to me that my boy be taken care of and is healthy!!!

Benji Blue came into our lives a few months ago as a gift from a neighbor who was downsizing into an RV. His previous owners didn't care for him much, but he won our hearts instantly with his affectionate and endearing personality. Since that day, he has lived in our home as a member of our family, and grown close to all of us in his own special way. Benji entered the Green Valley Animal Hospital yesterday morning. He had been throwing up for a couple days. The doctors performed exams and labs, which showed that he has a foreign body with secondary obstruction in his intestines. He needs surgery to have it removed, or he will have to be euthanized. He is currently at the hospital awaiting a decision. Benji is the sweetest dog I've ever had. He loves to play with my 8 year old daughter Lily, and he has become a vital part of our daily routine. He loves long, lazy days on the couch with us as much as he loves going on long hikes.We call him our little shadow dog, because he follows us wherever we go. He has truly become a member of our family, and we cannot imagine our lives without him. We are, unfortunately, unable to afford this surgery. This is an unexpected expense that is outside of our means. It would mean everything to us to get our dog back. He is our child and a treasured member of the family. We will do whatever it takes to get him help.

Marie is a special girl for sure, I was given Marie by a homeless man in front of a gas station when she was about a week old, he told me her mom and siblings were killed by a dog.. I spent everyday after that making sure to feed her and raise her properly.. she’s now 3 years old and has been my best friend ever since Marie thinks she runs the house, she has the cutest attitude and is very demanding of her spot on the bed and how she would like to be pet (it’s specific), she is very peaceful and independent but can definitely get into her moods and will let you know when she is 😂 she loves to be pet but also loves her space Marie has piercing eyes that stare into your soul and communicate exactly what she’s thinking, she also has a mustache that wasn’t there as a kitten but grew to be prominent, everyone calls her “hitler” or “mustache”, she’s So human-like and my friends say it’s because I gave her a human name like Marie Marie got out of the house one day and the neighbor was walking her dog.. Marie doesn’t back down to dogs and one thing led another, the dog and her got into a fight.. the dog came out with a few scratches while Marie came out with a broken arm:( since then the veterinarians and I have been trying our best to heal it but it’s not looking good, the next step we HAVE to take is to amputate the arm I am 23 years old, have 2 jobs and tons of bills.. at this time I can’t afford a $2000 surgery and I don’t want to give up my best friend:( I’m asking for help from anyone. My cat really needs the help
