Brady Grace
Brady Grace is a 9 month old Mix-Breed in Kempner, TX, who needs $3,000 for Oral Surgery Level 1 Bone, Teeth, Skin Removal.
Kempner, TX
Brady Grace born in Brady, Texas as a feral. A human surprised her from behind and heartlessly forced an electrical cable into her mouth and electrocuted her. She could not eat or drink. Her mouth began to rot and Maggots came. A girl picked her up and called for help. Brady Grace is currently under 24/7 care at my house. Brady Grace was taken to a Vet immediately who recommended euthanasia. Instead she was taken to Crystal Falls Emergency Hospital in Leander TX. Instant treatment began but she was so damaged that she would not live without Surgery. They sent her to Heart of TX Animal specialist Emergency Hospital in Round Rock, TX. Immediate surgery was required. Brady Grace was a vision sent to me in my sleep. Nothing but a feral but, I had to go find her. A girl posted online for help and I found her. I told Brady Grace she was going to live. So, she is at my house under 24/7 care. She has a private pink room with a large kennel. She even has a pad to watch and listen to other cats. Treatment every 4 hours and fed through a tube in her neck. A vision told me to find her and make sure she lived. No matter I would try to find the money for her surgery and long term care. Imagine the bills for emergency surgery alone. "Astronomical" As an average retired person these thousands of dollars are not available

Babydoll
Babydoll is a 16 year old Maltese in Pflugerville, TX, who needs $7,000 for Hospitalization for Kidney Not Functioning.
Pflugerville, TX
I adopted Babydoll when she was around 7 years old, she is 16 now. Her previous owner had a lot of dogs and the main owner (the wife of the man that I purchased and adopted Babydoll from) had past away from cancer. Babydoll’s name was actually babe (they named her after the pig), but I slowly called her Baby or Babydoll to not confuse others at the time since I called my husband babe She’s had kidney issues for the past year. chronic kidney disease, is going blind in 1 eye, and we will eventually get her to an oncologist to check on possible cancer issues (vet said she has breast lumps that will need to be looked at). Unfortunately, we had to take her to the ER this morning because she’s refused to eat for 2 days. ER says 1 of her kidneys is not functioning She’s super friendly to any human or animal. All of our kids were concerned as she gotten older but she has been active up until the past week. We have another small dog - miniature schnauzer that is her younger sister. She loves watching over her and tries her best to still play with her when she can Our bills are really tight right now. Just moved to a bigger rental home because our college grad needed to come home. I’ve been paying all Babydoll’s bills out of pocket and she’s been taken care of very well. The bills and household bills keep continuing to pile up

Jim
Jim is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Austin, TX, who needs $2,000 for Obstructed Intestines.
Austin, TX
We went to the shelter not expecting to adopt another dog. We had lost our girl pup earlier and really just wanted to go see who was available. We walked around for a while and then I saw him. He was pressed up against the cage with his ok take me home face and I fell in love. After talking to the shelter I discovered he had been in the shelter for a while and had been returned several times Jim is exhibiting the symptoms of an intestinal blockage. He has started vomiting and refuses to eat. He can only keep water down for about 12 hours and then he throws it backup. I will be taking him to the Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center I can't start to explain how he saved my life. I was in a really dark place when I adopted him and he was the ray of sunlight that keeps me going. He is a wonderful boy, very playful, smart and loyal. Before I / we adopted Jim my husband had a major stroke and part of his care i had to quit my job and become his fulltime care taker. We had been living off of savings and no longer have funds to help him. I started a new job yesterday but wont get paid until the 30th.

Ron
Ron is a 8 year old American Shorthair in Pflugerville, TX, who needs $2,000 for Blood Panels and Liver Biopsy, Ongoing Treatment.
Pflugerville, TX
Ron was a rescue from Pflugerville Pets Alive (now defunct) and came to us shortly after we had tragically lost another cat. Ron Weasley came from a litter which were all named for Harry Potter characters. Ron lives with is brother-from-another-mother Osiris (the black cat) and a queen Fiona. Ron and Osiris are inseparable, while Ron and Fiona divide the couch into their own cat countries. Ron is suffering from liver issues. Robin, Ron’s human, took him to the vet who suggested costly procedures, or put Ron down. This devastated Robin. The second vet we saw was amazed at the idea of putting Ron down and told us we can probably save him. Robin has been feeding Ron from a syringe every 4 hours trying to bring back his appetite. Ron is being treated at Heart of Texas animal hospital. Ron is Robin’s cat, but it’s far more accurate to say Robin is Ron’s human. Wherever she is, Ron is. Ron is in her lap, in her crochet, in her warm towels. Ron even has a special box next to Robin’s desk so he can be near her as she works. Ron never met a stranger and is a deeply loving and soft companion. Ron will often come and snuggle us at bedtime. The kids love Ron and snuggle him often. Ron needs some costly procedures to figure out what’s wrong, from blood panels to liver biopsy. One kid is going to college shortly, and we’ve had a slew of other bills this spring, including a totaled car (new driver). We're not ready to give Ron up to the rainbow bridge.

Anakin
Anakin is a 2012 year old Maine Coon in Georgetown, TX, who needs $2,000 for ACL Surgery and Amputation of his Right Back Leg.
Georgetown, TX
I have had Anakin since he was a kitten. He’s been my baby for 11 years now going on 12. Anakin is the most sweetest loving boy you can ever imagine. He loves his brother and sister, Ranger(dog) and Bella (cat). Bella is actually more of his mom than sister. She’s cared for him since I brought him home as a little kitten. His favorite hobby is to lay with you and purrrrrrr away while you pet him. I am seeking assistance for further test and require surgeries in order to give him a long healthy future. It was recently discovered he has a large mass on his back leg that is to believe to be sarcoma. Along with acl tears in both knees. We were informed that we will need additional X-rays, biopsy, ct scan, and joint taps to confirm. Then amputation and ACL surgery. Poor little baby:( Anakin is my baby. We have been through a lot together in the last 11 years. He has always been my cuddle bug that brought a smile to my face when it seems like the world is on fire. Through all his pain he is still smiling, purring, and wants to cuddle. Anakin has always been a rock and now I have to be for him. This is an unexpected expense. His diagnose has all happened in the last 2 weeks when we originally went in for a limp. We do not have any savings for these major surgeries. Along with expecting our first child at the end of August.

Astro
Astro is a 3 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Georgetown, TX, who needs $2,000 for Spinal Surgery.
Georgetown, TX
Astro was given to me by a partner who ended up passing away. He is the only dog in my home. He has been with me for almost four years. It is just the two of us in my home. Astro needs surgery. MRI findings: Acute, left ventrolateral L2-L3 intervertebral disc extrusion with a large component of dorsal hemorrhage contributing to overall marked spinal cord compression extending to L1 and with cranial syrinx and spinal cord intramedullary hyperintensity. The spinal cord signal change is most typical of edema. Astro is the happiest dog you will ever meet. He loves everyone he meets. He is fiercely loyal and the sweetest dog. He gets so excited when anyone comes over and brings everyone his ball to throw. I have already spent my emergency funds and maxed out my credit cards getting the care he has needed to be comfortable over the past couple of days. I am a single mom. Astro has gotten me through the death of my significant other and has been my everything.

Olivia
Olivia is a 11-year-old Short Hair Cat in Austin, TX, who needs $2,000 for Hospitalization.
Austin, TX
Olivia and I first met at the Petsmart in New Braunfels in January 2014. I adopted her and brought her home with me January 16, 2014, and she has been the most consistent thing in my life for 10 years now. She is my girl, my pretty princess, my familiar. She has been there for my 3 year old son his entire life, and is truly such an important member of our family. Olivia is a pretty easy-going gal; she loves to find a comfy spot to lounge in, and if it's in a sunny patch, that's even better. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate, but very choosy with who she shows that side to. If you're lucky, she'll climb right into your lap with the rumbliest purrs. One of my favorite things about her, is typically if I sit or lay down somewhere, she will be there in 60 seconds or less to be with me, immediately purring away. If I'm reclined at all, she'll be laying on my chest and shoulder, rubbing her face into mine and licking my chin and cheeks. She is absolutely the sweetest cat I have ever known. Olivia suddenly became lethargic, and began sneezing. At the time, I didn't think too much of it; I took her to Thrive Pet Healthcare, where she was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and we began treatment, though she quickly declined. It was recommended we take her to Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center in Round Rock TX, and she remains there in critical condition. The cost of her care has been tremendous; over $5000 so far, and I have unfortunately run out of options. I can't give up on her. I'm not ready to lose her, and I don't think she's ready to go yet. We just really both need help.

Snickers
Snickers is a 6-month-old Cavalier King Charles in Georgetown, TX, who needs $2,000 for Patella Repair.
Georgetown, TX
Meet snickers, also sometimes called Snickerdoodle, snicky, and Nicky, OH and sugar doodle. He came into our lives and has changed the meaning of love. The sweetest love at just 6 months of age he is the best little cavalier spaniel ever. If he isn’t snuggled up with me or the kiddos, it’s with our cat waffles. He is loved by all, including our neighborhood friendly squirrel and loves to chase any flies that come near him. He loves to go with us everywhere. He loves to howl when he has been outside for 1 minute and it’s a minute too long. He loves to hop like a kangaroo when pouncing on waffles. He also loves to sleep near your neck and has the cutest little snores Our sweet snickers has a growth deformation where his lower part where the knee cap is on grew sideways and needs surgery so his knee cap can go back into place. The thought of amputating was there but the possibility of his other knee going and then not having any function has put it to needing this surgery. He has been using only 3 legs. Single mom of two. Everyone is trying to make ends meet. When I got our sweet baby I told my kids this would be our forever dog and I want to do everything I can to keep that promise to my two kiddos.

Maximus
Maximus is a 9-year-old Chihuahua in Pflugerville, TX, who needs $1,500 for Luxating Patella Surgery.
Pflugerville, TX
Hello, My name is Brittany. I recently found out that Maximus my 9 year old Chihuahua has Luxating Patella. What this is commonly called is trick knee. He recently started holding his hind leg up in the air and miraculously back on all four legs. His kneecaps dislocate and cannot extend properly. This is happening daily. We had him checked out, and the doctor confirmed that he needs surgery. Max is a lively little dude. He loves car rides and walks to the park. He is a big brother of Pfinley and Ashi. They are both dogs. Even though he is the smallest of the pack he will play with them both as if I was the same size as them. They are 45 and 75 pounds. He loves laying out in the sun during the Texas heat and curling up in the cold. I’m the biggest love bug and loves all the cuddles. I love to sneak in Mom’s lap and curl up in a ball. That’s my comfort spot. My favorite food is cheese. If I hear the bag opening up; I will be next to you faster than lightning. My favorite toy is a stuffed squirrel. I love the big dog park even though I am 9 pounds. I always want to be with the big dogs! I snuggle under the blankets with mom. Max has Grade 2 Luxating Patella. Grade 2: The kneecap occasionally slips out of its groove, spontaneously creating an intermittent lameness. The kneecap will go back in place on its own. If the ridge of the bone on the inside of the knee wears down, the Grade 2 will progress to Grade 3. This progression can be prevented with surgery. I learned unexpectedly that Max had Luxating patella. He started showing signs only 3 weeks ago. One day he just started picking up his Leg and not using it. Now I have to push his joint back into place many times a day. This is a progressive injury. It will just get worse

Cookie
Cookie is a 1-year-old Pitbull in Taylor, TX, who needs $1,000 for rectal prolapse colopexy.
Taylor, TX
I rescued Cookie from a man who could not take care of her and wanted to just release her in some brush. She was very skinny and had urine stains from her neck down from being left in a kennel. The moment we picked her up she seemed very timid and unsure. It took her no time to fit in at home with the help of my other three dogs and my two sons. She now sleeps with my younger son in his bed. Cookie has a spunky cheerful personality and loves to go for rides in the car bu most of all she loves to torment her siblings by racing around the backyard or by rogh housing them into submission playfully. She is always smiling and loves to cuddle every chance she gets. She's playful and a great mother to her puppies which are now 12wks old Cookie demands your attention and when she doesn't get it she will sit on you or put her face right in front of yours to demand you pet her. She loves her belly rubs and she will lay on her back as long as you are rubbing it. She likes to play fetch with the balls even if she tears them all up to shreds. Nov.11th she had a rectal prolapse and was taken to Heart of Texas specialty center in Round Rock They stitched her up and she was doing great until Dec.11th her prolapse came back and had to be stitched up 3 additional times because it would not stay in. She is need of surgery now. She is only 1 yrs old and has so much to live for she just needs some help. Being right before Christmas this was not expected so I do not have the total amount of funds for her to have the surgery. Any help would be forever grateful and appreciated.

Dalailah
Dalailah is a 5-year-old Pitbull mix in Round Rock, TX, who needs $2,000 for CT scan and surgery.
Round Rock, TX
Six years ago we came to meet Dalailah. She was a scrawny little 9 month old pitbull who had been found running loose in Georgetown covered in Demodex mange. She was first rescued by Georgetown Animal Shelter who vaccinated and treated her skin. We adopted and rescued her during a Valentine event for $14. She was a steal and a love bug who still brings us so much joy with her wiggle bum. Dalailah is pure joy. She loves her kids terribly. She has no problem stealing kisses when they least expect them. Her favorite past time is cuddling and stealing blankets in bed. For the most part she behaves as an only child claiming her humans as her own. Among her pack she is the bravest and at 42 pounds it is amazing and funny to see her try to win at tug of war with her brothers. Dalailah knows when you need her and is able to turn any gloomy day around with her kisses, hugs and her non stop wiggle bum. She enjoys her humans as much as they enjoy her. Her loving and spunky character makes her the love bug we adore. On the worst of days I can always count on her to bring us joy. Even after her diagnosis she continues to make us smile while refusing to act ill. Dalailah was seen by Heart of Texas Emergency Specialty Center for facial swelling. During a fast scan, pleural effusion was noted. Radiographs were ordered and mediastinal mass was found. Samples and cultures have come back inconclusive. She is now in need of a CT Scan to see if the mass is resectable. If so, we will continue to surgery and remove the mass. Dalailah's adoption saved my daughter. Now it's time I repay the favor. Unfortunately I have not come up with the total needed for the procedures to come. Diagnosis and procedures will be performed by the amazing staff of Heart of Texas Emergency and Specialty Center.
