Eddie

Eddie is a 13 year old Mix-Breed in Seattle, WA, who needs $2,000 for Dental Surgery Treatment.

Seattle, WA

Eddie and I become companions in June of 2013. I went to a rescue agency looking to get one of four Siberian Huskies they had. Turns out this little guy was by where I was talking to the agent, and he stole my heart. He came home with me that day, and we've been best friends ever since. We now live together in a duplex where Eddie gets the main bedroom all to himself during the day when I'm gone. My fur-baby, Eddie, is in need of extensive dental work due to Periodontal Disease. He needs some teeth removed and others extensively cleaned from severe infection in his gum tissue. The procedure will occur at Highline Veterinary Hospital in Burien, WA. The estimated total cost is $3,314.77. Eddie and I are definitely closely linked through our canine-human bond. He is a very smart and well trained dog who knows over 40 commands. He is very loyal, and kind. The five things he cares about most are foods, when dad comes home, pets, sleeps, and walks. He was never a big tail wager until recently where he now wags a little bit when excited. It's so adorable and touches his dad's heart. Recently my work hours have been cut, and am looking for alternate work. Right now it is tough to make ends meet, but Eddie needs to have this procedure done because a) he is in pain and b) it could cause severe damage to his jaw having long time repercussions.

sadie

Sadie is a 4-year-old Border Collie in Burien, WA, who needs $2,000 for repair of complete fracture of her radius and ulna mid-shaft.

BURIEN, WA

I rescued Sadie from a home that had an autistic child that moved in. The child loved too hard. The family was going to have her put to sleep. I told them that if they could not find a home for her I would take her. I already had 3 dogs at the time. My Irish Red and White Setter, the Mincher Pincher and Chihuahua, so thought what is one more. All four of my dogs sleep on the bed with me. The tiny dogs on the pillows and the two larger dogs at the foot. Sadie is the herder of the smaller dogs. and she is the protector of the front yard. She does not miss a leaf or squirrel. I am a single person. She is my snuggler. When I am feeling sick she has to be right by my side. I am in-between jobs at the moment due to covid shut down. I am getting unemployment. If I can't find funding I will have to have her put to sleep. I have no other options. Sadie jumped the fence in the back yard and started to run across the street and was struck by a car. It rolled over her right front pay, breaking both bones and has severe road rash. She is currently spending the night at Highline Veterinary Hospital. Her primary veterinarian is Dr. Jackson. She is stable at the moment. I don't know the surgeon yet. I am her favorite two legged pack member. She thinks she is a cat. She likes to sleep on the back of the chair in the living room. If I sneeze she has to inspect every inch of my face. I think to make sure it is still there. She likes to lay down on the smaller dogs so they have to move away from me.
