koko is a 8 year old American Shorthair in easton, PA, who needs $16,095 for Radiation Therapy.

easton, PA

Koko came into my life as a beloved adopted companion and quickly became part of my family. we have been together for several years, and during that time he has bought us constant joy and comfort. He lives in a loving home surrounded by family. His name was chosen because his personality, playful, loyal and full of love. Koko recently was diagnosed with cancer tumor behind his nose which is growing and affecting his health. We are working with BluePearl veterinarians to get his best treatment option, but his condition requires urgent and specialized care. This is not a simple issue and without treatment, his quality life will continue to decline. Koko is incredibly afecciónate and loves being close to family members. He has a gentle personality and always knows how to confort us when we need it the most. He enjoys playing with his favorite toys and being around people. His presence brings happiness to our home every single day, and he truly feels like a member of our family. Kokos' diagnosis came unexpectedly, and cost of treatment is more that i can afford at this time. I am doing everything i can, but I need help to give him a chance to recover. Your support will mean everything to us and help save a life that mean so much to our family.

Shiloh

Shiloh is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Mertztown, PA, who needs $2,000 for CT Scan with Surgery.

Mertztown, PA

I found Shiloh through a newspaper ad in February of 2014. She lived on a farm and the one man there said they had too many dogs on the property. Shiloh had no real name, was underweight, had two types of worms inside her and only had one of her vaccinations, which was for rabies. I gave her name because she looked Shiloh from the book/movie. A tumor was discovered in Shiloh's right lung during her yearly wellness exam. It's in a strange position in her lung and is big enough to cause concern. The vet recommended seeing an oncologist. One of the few choices the vet at Blue Pearl Hospital is suggesting is surgery to remove the tumor with a possibility of chemo afterwards. Shiloh enjoys attention and treats. She will either "bop" you with her nose or tap your hand with her paw when she wants attention or head rubs. She can be a little bossy when she wants something like food. Shiloh doesn't like thunderstorms or fireworks and will hide in the bathroom. She like poking her nose in the snow in the winter, Although she's not a "velcro dog", she does like being with me I never thought my dog would need a surgery that I couldn't afford, but she is worth saving to me. Shiloh may be old, but still has "life" in her and is tougher then she looks. I'm willing to fight just to get more time for/with her

Luna

Luna is a 7 year old Newfoundland in West Chester, PA, who needs $2,000 for Radiation.

West Chester, PA

Luna was a rescue from Ghana Ohio. I rescued Luna 6 years ago and she was quite scared. I learned that Luna is afraid of loud noises, thunderstorms, etc. I make sure that nothing happens to her during those times and if a storm occurs during the night then I sleep with her. Luna has made the family room "her apartment" and is quite comfortable there. I just love her and everything about her. Back in 1/25 Luna slipped on the snow/ice in the yard. I immediate took her to the hospital thinking it was her ACL. Was informed that it was a pulled groin then a month later told it was soft tissue damage, then ultra sound and eventually cat scan. Was informed it is osteosarcoma and needs radiation immediately or it will kill her. Having radiation treatment at Blue Pearl 4/23 and 4/24. Luna is a real sweetie. She is easy to get along with and is quite docile. Because of her past, she is quite anal and when taken out of her element, she gets a little nervous. She has a rescued sister who will be 13 and a rescued brother who will be 4. They each get along very well and look out for each other. They share everything in the home including my love for all three of them. I am a 77 year old woman on SS and work part time to supplement my income so I and my dogs can live a normal life in harmony. In reality I live paycheck to paycheck to survive. I would do anything for my dogs and only want them to have good health land my love

Rigby

Rigby is a 5 month old Mix-Breed in LITITZ, PA, who needs $2,000 for FHO.

LITITZ, PA

Rigby walked into our house one cold January evening and never left! She was a tiny thing, but never scared. She immediately took to life in our house and has made herself quite comfortable over the last few months. Rigby was showing some lameness in her left hind leg. We took her to the vet and found out that she has a fractured hip. Our poor girl has been so strong, barely showing any signs of pain. We have a consultation at Blue Pearl for orthopedic surgery. Rigby LOVES chasing her mouse toy around the house. She proudly trots around with it in her mouth, showing off her prize! She came to us at a time when we needed the emotional support that owning a cat gives. Even though she eats all my plants, she still has all of my heart. We have been trying to get back on our feet after struggling through some employment issues. After being diagnosed as bipolar, we were able to get back on track, but unfortunately this has hit us before we could build back any emergency funds.

Daisy

Daisy is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Somerdale, NJ, who needs $2,000 for Radiation Therapy.

Somerdale, NJ

I didn't expect that - my family brought some donations to the Animal Welfare Association in Voorhees, NJ. My son met Daisy first, in her little pen. We already had a dog. We had two cats. We had a rabbit...and three chickens. "NO no no," I said. Then Daisy came over to the doorway of her pen and just looked at me - like what you see in that first picture. I was all in from there. I didn't expect this, too - Daisy started slowing down in the summer. Didn't want to walk anymore. The vet said it was a tumor pressing on her spine. So we operated, and she recovered within two weeks, running again. Three months later the doctor said it's come back again. Worse - like cancer on steroids. Daisy needs a second surgery and radiation treatment this time. If Daisy wasn't a dog, she'd be a center fielder. She is stellar at catching her ball and bringing whatever you toss back. She loves everyone too - for a Shepherd/Collie super mutt, she's got a lot of personalities in her DNA, but at the center of it all is love. She loves everyone and everything. She is an expert hugger, teaches her dog pack to behave when they're wild, and loves ice cream. We've invested about $13,000 in Daisy's care already. We are proud of that because we could. Now though, it's getting tight. And we're humbly asking for any amount to give to the vets who are helping give Daisy a full recovery from cancer.

Sophie

Sophie is a 3 year old French Bulldog in Leesport, PA, who needs $2,000 for Hemilaminectomy.

Leesport, PA

Our little Sophie came to us when she was almost 2 in 2022 from a breader who was not going to bread her. So we gave her a loving, playful home where she could be herself. She is very energetic and loves to play with other dogs. Hates kisses from her mom but loves to give them. She loves to play with her older human brother and is now very protective over her new baby brother. Sophie presented signs of IVDD this morning and we immediately took her to an urgent vet that be seen. Unfortunately without surgery within the next few days we are looking at permanent paralysis in her back legs. She still seems energetic but not understanding what is happening. We are hoping to be able to get her an MRI and surgery from Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA Sophie loves to run and play, it would be terrible to have her succumb to this injury and lose the ability to do so. Sophie is a momma’s girl but also loves to play with her daddy! She is a beloved member of our household. As we would love to be prepared financially, with the new addition of our newborn 6 weeks old) we are currently not able to provide Sophie with this surgery.

Bear

Bear is a 9-year-old Domestic Long Hair Cat in Frackville, PA, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Gallbladder Surgery.

Frackville, PA

Everyone knows me as the crazy animal lover that will do anything to help any type of animal in need. This time, my animal needs your help. This is my boy Bear - He was one of 3 kittens that were a few days old, dumped in a laundry basket, in the cold and rain. I took them home and they have been with me since. Bear now needs emergency gallbladder surgery. Bear always loves doing school with my brother, at home. I pictured him graduating with a little cap and gown with my brother. He’s such a teddy bear that loves shiney ball toys. He’s purrs and waves his tail around a love. He loves being loved. He always enjoys greeting guests that come to our home. He’s such a good boy and deserves a chance at at-least 9 more years of life. Bear has such a great personality. He is one of my more well behaved cats. He’s such a sweetheart. I can’t say enough good words about him. He means the absolute world to me, it hurts to see him like this. The past 2 months Bear was having health issues - diarrhea that subsided at the end of November, then this past Friday he profusely vomited and has no appetite since. Mountain Shadow in Schuylkill Haven has been treating him. He has had many tests done throughout the 2 months and last night it results to his gallbladder. It is a week or two away from bursting. I was working full time and ended up with metastatic thyroid cancer that brought out severe rheumatoid arthritis in my body. I may have rescued my cars, but they save me every day. They’re my babies and keep me strong. I can’t imagine at this state of life being without him.

Danny

Danny is a 7-year-old Domestic Shorthair in North Wales, PA, who needs $2,000 for steroids and surgery.

NORTH WALES, PA

Danny came into my life on April 27 when his elderly owner surrendered him to a rescue because he could no longer care for him. Danny came to me ill with what was thought to be an upper respiratory infection. He had been an indoor/outdoor cat for 7 years and had a family that was not fully committed to him. While in my care, Danny is in a loving home, listening to country music and getting hugs. Danny is the friendliest cat I have ever met. Loving, kind, sweet and innocent. All he knows is love and all he wants is love. He enjoys music and having an entire floor of the house as his own. He is king of the castle and my number one priority. He interacts with family members, especially me. He loves when I sing to him and dance for him. It does not take much to make this cat happy! I am not his owner. He is homeless and I could not turn him away. Since he has a rare condition, his surgery could pave the way for other cats and also be in the "record books" for a success story for the doctor treating it. I want to see him PURR AND MEOW WITHOUT PAIN! Danny has been diagnosed with a rare tonsillar polyp. Neither the vet nor the pathologist has seen this type of polyp in a cat. Currently he is being treated with steroids, but is in need of surgery. I would think that any surgeon performing this life saving surgery would learn from it since it is such a rare condition. Treated at Metropolitan Animal Hospital in Norristown, PA Danny is special because he is so loving and sweet. He loves to be brushed and cared for. He is happy just to be in a warm home with people who love him. He is happy with everything I provide him. He is very patient and likes wearing his hat! He is a big country music fan! He is so happy when his music is playing and he can relax.

Kobe

Kobe is a 11-year-old Black Lab in Newark, DE, who needs $2,000 for partial laryngectomy or laryngeal tieback procedure.

Newark, DE

Kobe joined our happy little family six years ago when his first family moved away without him. The timing was perfect as my husband, Paul, was retiring his service dog, Rosie, and needed a replacement. This bright and eager boy stepped up to the challenge without hesitation and picked up on the training with ease. Kobe is the middle child of the family and the oldest boy. During the day he watches over Paul and helps him go about his day. When off the clock, Kobe likes to snooze in the sun with his 14 yo Smooth Collie mix sister, Rosie, and wrestle with his new baby brother, 1 yo German Shepherd Max. We often call Kobe "The Shadow" as he's nearly silent when he moves, which helps him sneak attack lil bro! Unfortunately, as my husband is a disabled veteran and I've had to quit my job in order to care for him, our income is limited and we simply can't afford the operation. We wish to ease Kobe of his pain and discomfort and the only alternative is to put him to sleep:( Dr. May of Hope Vet Specialists confirmed an earlier diagnosis that Kobe was developing Geriatric Onset Laryngeal Paralysis and polyneuropathy, a neuromuscular disease that can weaken the hind legs and larynx in older dogs. Milder cases can be treated with medicine but in extreme cases like this, corrective surgery becomes necessary. If left untreated, the poor dog can die by asphyxiation. Our loving boy has always been sweet, gentle, and protective of his family. When his older sister, Olivia, passed last Spring poor Rosie was heartbroken as the two practically grew up together. Kobe has paid extra attention to Rosie in the months that followed and now the pair seem to share an even closer bond than before.
