Wyler
Wyler is a 17 year old Mix-Breed in Cheney, WA, who needs $2,000 for Oral Surgery: Abscessed Molar Extraction & Dental.
Cheney, WA
Wyler came to us on Mother's Day, 2007, just after I had retired from 24 years in the US Air Force. He is a littermate to his brother, Jake. They've been with me ever since. I'm a retired, disabled, veteran and Wyler is a certified Emotional Support Animal. He and Jake are inseparable. Jake is quite healthy and Wyler was too until he developed a serious dental issue in January 2024. In January, Wyler developed a molar abscess. The abscess is infected and due to this infection, a facial cyst appeared, which is painful and draining puss. My vet in Airway Heights doesn't have the X-ray machine, CT, & Anesthesiologist to properly address his issue. But I was able to find a pet dental specialist in Idaho who is confident she can safely perform the needed oral surgery. Wyler and his brother Jake love to go on daily runs and respond to "pee-mails." The two are brothers and best buddies, so Jake is not happy that Wyler has not been well. Jake sniffs Wyler's "owie" and is wondering why his brother won't play with him. But Wyler is in a lot of pain and needs his tooth extracted so we can get rid of his infection and get him feeling well again, Wyler is our beloved family member and means the world to us. It's heartbreaking that the surgery is so expensive. As a disable veteran on a fixed income, it's simply unaffordable, which is why I'm asking for financial support. Jake is looking forward to Wyler being back.

Hobbs
Hobbs is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Priest River, ID, who needs $2,000 for Juvenile Hyperplastic Gingivitis; Stomatitis.
Priest River, ID • Priest River Animal Rescue, Inc.
Hobbs' journey at the Priest River Animal Rescue has been one filled with challenges and medical hurdles following his rescue in August of 2022. Coming from a hoarding situation, Hobbs arrived alongside his brother Skeet, but while Skeet found a loving home, Hobbs struggled due to his initial lack of sociability with humans. The plea for Hobbs' ongoing medical care is urgent as his condition continues to deteriorate despite previous treatments. The Rescue team has diligently addressed his weight loss and persistent gum issues through specialized interventions at Inland Northwest Veterinary Dentistry and Surgery, uncovering the underlying juvenile hyperplastic gingivitis causing Hobbs considerable discomfort. Extensive Hobbs has come a long way in his journey. Currently residing in foster care surrounded by several feline companions, he has made remarkable progress in overcoming his initial hesitations towards humans. Although Hobbs may not be fond of being carried, his gentle nature shines through as he seeks comfort by laying on his human's chest while they rest. Evidently, foster care has played a cruc At our rescue, we operate solely on donations, proceeds from our Critters Thrift Store, and Grants to provide care for animals in need. The financial impact of Hobbs' two previous surgeries, totaling $6,810, has significantly strained our budget.
