Lucy

Lucy is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Sanger, TX, who needs $2,000 for Dental and Mass Removal.

Sanger, TX

Lucy is my person. She’s helped me through one of the most difficult seasons of life and is always there for me. After my divorce last year, I was unexpectedly given the opportunity to keep her, and I’m so glad she’s become an integral part of my life. I discovered a mass on Lucy’s right upper jaw about a month ago and thought it was an abscess and would probably go away on its own. It’s slowly but steadily grown to where now her lip won’t go down over it. The vet said it’s likely a cancerous tumor that must be removed. She is always excited to see me and burrows her head into my beard for head scratches. A routine-driven dog, she makes deep eye contact with me and has a thorough understanding of what’s going on around her. She’s very vocal when meeting new people, but is always friendly! And she loves giving kisses. With the estimated expense of having this tumor removed, it was quite unexpected and I just don’t have the money to address it right away without going further into debt than I already have gone. It’s an urgent need that has to be addressed very quickly.

Adam

Adam is a 2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Krum, TX, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy Surgery.

Krum, TX

We got Adam a little over 2 years ago. We rescued him out of a horrible situation from a bad environment. We found him on craigslist. Right now, Adam lives in an awesome small town called Krum in Texas. He has a huge backyard and 3 other dog friends to run and play with. He loves his chew toys and wrestling with his companions in their backyard. Adam has a torn ligament in his back right knee. We have gotten x-rays taken and we have gotten 2 different opinions. Each vet gave the same diagnosis. Adam receives routine veterinarian care at Krum Veterinarian Hospital. Adam is in pain consistently without getting this operation done. However, he still maintains a good spirit...it is just the type of dog he is. Adam isn’t just a dog—he’s a best friend, a source of unconditional love, and the light of our lives. With his soulful eyes and tail that never stops wagging, Adam has a way of making everyone feel like the most special person in the world. Adam has never been aggressive he is the complete opposite. He cozies up to our 8-month-old daughter and makes her laugh. We are so grateful for Adam. We just were not expecting this. Me and my wife both work in ministry. we are exactly where Christ has called us to be, but we cannot afford it financially. However, after this happened, we purchased pet insurance to cover any unexpected future injuries.
