Rocco
Rocco is a 12 year old Mix-Breed in Hollywood, FL, who needs $4,200 for Thoracentesis, Oxygen Support, and Medications.
Hollywood, FL
12 years ago, our boy, Rocco was rescued from severe abuse. Today, we're focused on giving him comfort and peace as he faces advanced lung cancer. Rocco was taken in by a nonprofit animal rescue in Texas after he survived broken hips and being shot at. After being rehabilitated in the foster program, my husband and I adopted him at 2 years old and brought him to Florida to start anew. Rocco went to LeadER Hospital after he began coughing and struggling to breathe. Imaging and testing shows he has advanced lung cancer, including a large mass in his lung, signs of spread and fluid buildup in his chest cavity. We've made the heartbreaking decision not to pursue aggressive cancer treatment but focus on comfort care in his last remaining time with fluid drainage and medications. After years of rehabilitation and socialization, Rocco learned to trust people again. He still has certain triggers but will warm up to you fairly quickly especially if you have food. He is also very protective of me and can get jealous if you are not showing him enough love! His favorite things are belly rubs and playing at the beach. He hates getting in the water but will swim only with us. Rocco won't be healthy again due to the severity of the cancer but we want to be able to give him as much comfort as we can in his time left. He deserves a peaceful end compared to his rough upbringing. It's a financially difficult time for our family due to job loss.

Santi
Santi is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Pembroke Pines, FL, who needs $2,000 for Maxillomandibular Fixation (MMF).
Pembroke Pines, FL
Santi is a 2-year-old mixed-breed shorthair male tabby. My spouse and I found him in the middle lane during our commute after he was hit by a car and left for dead. He is microchipped, but appears to have been abandoned for some time. We couldn’t just leave him, so we took responsibility for him. On Friday, Dec 12 around 8:30 AM, Santi was hit by a car. We rushed him to Lead ER Pet Hospital, treated by Dr. Phillip and the entire vet team. He was stabilized, and exams showed a fractured skull, broken jaw, and air in his chest. He will likely need surgery to repair his jaw/skull so he can heal. Even injured, Santi has been gentle and brave. He purrs and slow-blinks at the staff who care for him, showing trust despite the pain. He also has extra thumbs—his white paws look like little mittens. In such a short time, he’s shown us he’s a loving fighter who deserves a real chance. We’ve already used our emergency fund and maxed our CareCredit to cover most of Santi’s care, but surgery and ongoing treatment cost more than we can handle alone. Any help means he can get the procedures he needs and come home to healthy recovery.

Lilo
Lilo is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Miami Gardens, FL, who needs $2,000 for Bladder stones surgery.
Miami Gardens, FL
my financial situation is not good enough to afford the operation her doctor says she needs immediately. My dog started having blood in her urine and due to financial difficulties I had to borrow a friend’s care credit to pay the $440 for her diagnosis, the doctor says she need emergency surgery for 2 quarter size bladder stones immediately so i either have to euthanize or find helpline She had parvo when given to me and i had her treated, my financial situation was better 10 years ago.she has been relatively healthy for the last 10 years until recently when she started bleeding with the pee first we thought it was her period but when it did not stop we took her to the vet. Thhe vet doesn’t perform surgery so we have no hospital we were given her ex rays and blood work papers She is a member of my immediate family, me and her. Ive had her for 10 years what can more special than that. She is friendly, loving, she listens and also loves back. I am a self employed person that makes about $14,000 a year. Enough for the basics needs including her care. I can not afford the money required to get her well. As to why i ask for help.

Kiwi
Kiwi is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Pembroke Pines, FL, who needs $2,000 for Asp Pneumonia and Aspergillosis Treatment.
Pembroke Pines, FL
We never expected to meet a dog like kiwi. We knew we wanted to add one to our family, but were unsure what kind of dog. after a few months of preparation, we settled on a rescue. We came across kiwi at our local shelter and he was perfect. His name fit in with our other baby, mango. It’s been three years since that day in august, but it feels like so much less and so much more at the same time. We noticed two nights ago that his breathing was labored, and discharge began to come from his nose. That’s when we made the decision to bring him into leadER veterinary hospital where he has since been hospitalized. They determined he has aspirational pneumonia and requires urgent treatment. This is an emergency situation where we have had no choice but to admit him and hope for the best outcome. Kiwi brings a light to our household that wouldn’t be there otherwise. He’s always the first to greet you at the door. Kiwi goes by a number of aliases: kiki, kiki, and weenie being some of our most used. he loves plushies - all kinds. some of his favorites include a stuffed lamb, pig, and turtle! he is so so special to us, and such a joy to have around. It would mean everything to get kiwi healthy. we miss him so much! We are the people who would do anything for our animals, but the financial burden of this situation is too much for us to handle on our own. We’d love to give kiwi the care & support he needs most right now.

Chispita
Chispita is a 12 year old Chihuahua in Sunrise, FL, who needs $2,000 for Plate Removal and Kidney Recovery.
Sunrise, FL
Chispy has been a beloved member of our family for 13 amazing years. She came into my life during a time of need, quickly becoming an irreplaceable companion. Despite her small size as a chihuahua, she’s always been full of character and love. She has stood by me through every major life event, from moving to new homes to welcoming a baby into our lives. She’s fiercely protective of our family. Chispy was the victim of a severe dog attack that left her jaw broken in three places. She was rushed to Leader Animal Specialty Hospital where surgeons had to insert three plates in her jaw to help her close her mouth again and regain the ability to eat. Unfortunately, complications arose, and one of the plates caused a persistent infection, putting extra strain on her kidneys. Chispy isn’t just a pet—she’s a vital part of our family. She’s always been my spark of joy, living up to her name with her lively personality and unwavering loyalty. She’s feisty and bold, just like any true chihuahua, yet full of endless love and affection for everyone in our family. She’s especially protective of my newborn, always hovering nearby, ready to keep watch. The financial burden of Chispy’s care has become overwhelming. I recently gave birth and, as a result, have been unable to return to work. Between caring for my newborn and managing Chispy’s medical needs, the expenses have mounted beyond what I can handle.

Jimi
Jimi is a 7.5-year-old Mixed Breed Dog in Hollywood, FL, who needs $1,500 for Biopsy.
Hollywood, FL
Me and my husband adopted Jimi and his sister Janice when they were 6 weeks old from a shelter. they were the cutest pair from the same litter, we knew they were coming home with us. Jimi and Janice were named after Hendrix and Joplin, in the hope of them getting to be 27 just like the originals. Jimi grew up with his 2 cat sisters and 2 new babies that he helped raise in the past 7.5 years. Jimi is a very active dog, we had him since he was tiny, so he grew to fear and respect his cat sisters. The fact that he was adopted with his sister gave him a lot of confidence and plenty of playtime. He is an older brother for 2 kids that he helped raise. My 4 yo son still calls him his best friend to this day. He is gentle and protective and just the best dog I ever had. Jimi is the perfect dog for our family, he us full of energy, which means he is always up for playing, he loves chasing after the water from the hose, cuddling with his stuffed animal toys (when he doesn't eat them). He is best friends with my son and his canine sister. Jimi is very smart, and will pick up any command that we teach him really fast and he loves getting his treats. Jimi's back left leg is swollen & in pain, Dr. stone of Pasadena Lake suspected an infection (it was swollen &hot), antibiotics & pain meds were prescribed. It did not improve after 10 days, went back, got more antibiotics & pain meds, did x-rays, no bone damage, referred us to a specialist @VCA who also didn't find anything after more x-rays, suggested a biopsy. Tried a 3rd vet for their opinion. We have one source of income, no emergency funds, already spent well over $1000, and we cannot afford the $2100-$2600 biopsy charges, if diagnosed w cancer, we are scared of the options available to us. Jimi is our 2 children's brother, just like all our pets, we need this.

I rescued Odin's dad Thor when he was a few months old, a year later Thor became a dad I picked him out because of the way he was looking at me, like in the picture did not intend to keep any of his litter something about him made me want to be his grandpa so I named him Odin the great he is definitely a talker Odin lives with me and his dad in a cozy 2-bedroom my kids love them and boy does Odin argue with the boys because he's the youngest of my boys he doesn't like being left out of play time I have a 12 year old son a 14 year old son and a 16 year old son video game and movie night is the best and we're all together snuggling up Odin has a little bit of a Nutty personality some days he's all over the place and some days he's quiet always follows his dad everywhere he goes and his dad always follows me he has an obsession staring out the window at birds and lizards making his noises I never knew that cats could get Zoomies this little guy does... it cracks me up when he sits in the hallway and sings the song of his people he likes hiding in places knowing it freaks me out because for a moment I think the kids accidentally let him out the front door and as quickly as I am out front calling his name he's staring at me through the window like ha got you I don't think he understands the rules of Hide and Seek The other night when I came home from work, I proceeded with my regular routine put fresh food and water for them sit down eat dinner and catch up on my shows I got up from my recliner unaware that he was hiding underneath when it closed I heard a whimper I quickly opened the bottom to find him not moving I panicked and ran to the bathroom with him oh, I saw some blood on his side and panic some more trying to find where he was bleeding from and try to clean his room I noticed partial bone sticking out of his leg so I Rush him to the emergency animal hospital to find out he has a fractured in his leg the Animal Hospital wouldn't help us unless I paid 2200 upfront for X-rays and everything needed to make sure he did not have internal bleeding and that's not even a surgery so here I am trying to get some form of help so he's not hurting anymore and we can bring him back home with his family I work at a local restaurant a mom and Pop type restaurant I have three kids of my own and Two Kitties financially after covid I can't afford to shed the amount of money needed to get my little angel the help he needs some months are tight and tough but as a family we push through contribute in any way we can I recently was in a car accident somebody ran a stop sign and totaled my car that set me back a good amount to where I wasn't able to get to work anymore because of the distance how to find some things local life keeps knocking me down but I refuse to stay down we are Fighters but sometimes that's not enough I just don't want my little guy to be in pain anymore I don't want to lose him

Buddy
Buddy is a 1-year-old American Boxer Mix in Hollywood, FL, who needs $2,000 for FHO.
Hollywood, FL
We adopted Buddy a few days before Christmas. Now he has become an important part of our family! On 4/24/21 our loving buddy was hit by a car and left there for dead. A good Samaritan picked him up and brought him to a local DAS officer. After being seen my an emergency room vet we were notified that he dislocated his hip. The vet attempted to put it back in place but it was unsuccessful. Buddy love long walks with my son! After long walks you can catch him laying out on the living room floor waiting for one of us to come and rub his belly. He loves belly rubs! Buddy Is a very happy dog even while suffering he’s still very happy to be around family. He loves children and other dogs. I’ve done all that I can. I’m a single mother who barely is making it. After seeing so many vets I truly can’t afford over 5k in care for him. It breaks my heart because Buddy is family! They recommended surgery by an orthopedic specialist. My baby is human I swear. The way he looks at us when we’re talking to him is like nothing else. He shows all emotions very clearly. Very child like. The way he gets excited when someone comes home, the affection that he gives is amazing. He wants affection all of the time. And he’ll nudge you until you respond to him.
