Elijah Yahweh

Elijah Yahweh is a 1 year old Russian Blue in Myrtle Beach, SC, who needs $2,500 for GS-441524.

Myrtle Beach, SC

Elijah was a foster failure with his 2 brothers. He is a beautiful, loving boy and was always my wild child before he started with seizures. My cats are my children and no mother wants to lose her child. He just turned 1 on June 2nd per the rescue. On April 28th I found him in a seizure when returning home from work. I placed him in his carrier and went to the vet ER. He spent 16 hours in the ICU at Cerri Alto Emergency Vet in San Luis Obispo California. Costing me a paycheck. Elijah is the most beautiful baby with the personality of an angel with a devil in his soul at times. He is my sunshine as well as his littermates. He is a joy! This expense is occurring as I have changed jobs and moved to California to provide also for a disabled husband and help my daughter with my grandson with autism.

Finn

Finn is a 4 year old Dachshund in Grass valley, CA, who needs $2,000 for IVDD Surgery.

Grass valley, CA

Finney came into our lives when he was only 5 weeks old. We spent his first 3 weeks at home huddled up during Covid eating goats milk and teaching him how to be a little brother and how to play. The bond we share is so special after having kids young he brings such meaning to my life as they’ve all grown up, he stays the same. That is until he was diagnosed with ivdd. The progression has been fast We’ve been instructed to crate him so when I’m home he’s in a bassinet and when we’re gone he is in a 2x4 kennel. His vet is Motherlode vet clinic in grass valley ca. he has stage 2 ivdd looking like maybe stage 3 (we won’t know until he sees a neurologist) after this weeks progression. It’s up to the vet if he needs surgery. But I can’t afford the the full cost of the mri or the surgery. Finn is special because he’s special. We love him for his crooked nose and funky ear and for the way he waddles and demands love and attention from mama when ever I’m home. His best friend is Ruger, his 8 year old brother. He loves squeaky squirrels and spends his time trying to save them from his brother by burying them under blankets between couch cushions and even behind doors. We love our baby We live in California and find ourselves house poor. Bills are already tight if not late and unfortunately I was too ignorant to have signed up for pet insurance. Regretting this multiple times a day lately.

Bear

Bear is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Penn Valley, CA, who needs $1,500 for UTI/Blockage.

Penn Valley, CA

Bear Mojo is a 5 year old Maine Coone/Ragdoll mix. He was a rescue and is my daughter's beloved baby. I can honestly say I love him, I think, just as much. He sleeps with his mom (my daughter) every night. He is such an important and furociously loved cat kid in our house that we can't imagine being with out him. Recently Bear has shown signs of a UTI/other? The vet will need $200 + just to see him and diagnose, that does not include treatment. We did call around to 4 different vet offices. It will cost a lot more I am certain, to treat and board etc. 😪 We will stay with our Vetrinary office as we are familiar and trust them. All funds contributed will go directly to the Vetrinary office through Waggle. Bear is such a special boy. He has personality plus from the way he is in constant chatter and talking to us or with his enormous purbox that never stops. He is the happiest, sweetest, most loving boy. He loves wearing his special handsome T-shirts, to lying on our laps, rolling over for belly rubs, giving his loving head buts or wrapping his tail around us. Beginning of 2024 my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer, ever since then we've been on a financial rollercoaster. The state Disability doesn't pay people as they are supposed to. I've had to not work at times to help him and that means no pay (like right now).

Daisy

Daisy is a 9-year-old Weimaraner/ Chocolate Labrador in Arnold, CA, who needs $1,800 for surgery.

ARNOLD, CA

I rescued Daisy and her 8 siblings from people with plans to drown the puppies. Daisy found her home in my house and heart 9 years ago now. She has lived in 6 different states, swam in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, loves to hike, kayak, swim, and camp! To know her is to love her. She is so friendly, loyal, and never made a single enemy! She has 2 sisters, Remi (cat) and Tanin (bearded dragon). She waits in like while Remi drinks from her bowl and let's Tanin lay on her to get warm. She loves to be around all people, especially if they want to play tug of war with her rope! She is patient and never makes any mess or play with things that aren't hers, she event left a bag of chips that dad left on the floor! She is starting to carry her weight on front and I'm worried she will injure herself. The last course of treatment are x-rays and surgery which is way out of our budget. While she has lived life more than some people, I know she still has so much more life and love to give. We were told she slipped a disc and we could not afford the surgery. With our vet, we have tried different treatments including, anti-inflammatory, crate rest, acupuncture, Eastern meds, and massage. But now there is a lump near her spine and the vet requests more x-rays to see what is getting worse. She recently started to knuckle, wobble, and her tail is paralyzed. Her overwhelming love for people and things is remarkable. It's admirable that she has so much love to give and never asks for anything in return. She has always been a quick and dedicated learner and so patient! You can leave a treat on the floor, tell her to wait and leave and she won't get it until you return and tell her its okay.

Jack

Jack is a 7-year-old Jack Russell terrier mix in Penn Valley, CA, who needs $400 for bloodwork.

Penn Valley, CA

Jack came into my life as a rescue from a private owner who was about to take him to the pound. Jack is one of a kind little guy who I love dearly. I want the best for him and I want to do the best for him so by getting the help he needs would be awesome. Jack is my life. He makes my day on a daily basis. Jack sleeps wherever he wants, he loves the water and he loves to go for walks. When Jack sees other animals he is very friendly and when he sees humans, his tail wags 100 miles a minute. Jack is loved by everyone that come across him. He is an awesome cuddler, he'll keep you warm at night. And when when I am down, Jack cheers me up in a way that I can't describe. My car broke down and it wasn't fixable so I had to get another vehicle so I could get back and forth to work. I wasn't expecting any of this to happen. I just want my Jack to get better. Jack was diagnosed with Cushing disease. He was put on meds for the disease and doing great with it. Well around 11/10/2020 he started having the same systems he did at the beginning. And now that this has happened he needs more blood work done that I cant afford so I am asking for help so I can get my little guy back. Jack has a buddy that I rescued as well and they get along great. They have the run of the house, they play with each other on a daily basis they share their bones. And they share me as well they are like two peas in a pod I just love them so much. They are my world. They also are my guard dogs they will bark at the door if someone is there.

She used to bite and hiss and sneak smack you again from being so scared of life. She now sleeps and snuggles with our dogs and my older daughter at night on her bed. Iris has become one of the house favorites....she barely ever meows and will cover up a mess that she didnt make in the litter box!! Shes a very proper house cat that came from abuse neglect and being outside unwillingly. She has given us so much a d taught people in our family how valuable love and patience can truly be. She deserves to feel good again. She wont eat her food with the others because she is in pain while eating and feels vulnerable due to her condition. She cries and screams in pain if any food touches her teeth or gums....she has to swallow her food whole and isnt eating properly due to her pain!!!

Photo of Jackie AKA One Eyed Jack

Jackie AKA One Eyed Jack

Jackie AKA One Eyed Jack is a 17-year-old Domestic Long Hair in Antioch, CA, who needs $1,488 for tumor removal and dental extractions.

Antioch, CA

Jackie AKA One Eyed Jack used to live with his community cat colony in the verdant garden of a closed-off alleyway in the middle of one of a major city's industrial zones. There were huge potted plants everywhere, lots of feral cat condos, and even a vintage car in the alley. Cat-sized couches made by the colony's first caretaker were spread around. There was even a vacant field, overgrown with giant datura flowers, on the other side of one fence---which the cats used for resting in the sun. The colony of around eightlived in this kitty paradise for years until the city decided to open up the alley to accommodate gentrification. Suddenly, the plants and car were removed, and people started driving through. They smashed into the condos and feeding stations. One cat's hind legs and lungs were crushed as he tried to eat in a location where for years he had been safe. He was left to suffer. The surviving cats were driven to hang out in the vacant lot next door, which was also was taken away from them when the community turned it into a dog park. Then people started complaining about the cats sitting on their cars in the adjacent gentrified parkings lots. Some posted signs threatening feeders with arrest. Others posted signs threatening to call animal control. We took over as the colony's caretakers when the person who TNRed them went abroad for Christmas and never returned. Jackie was one of the more tame of his colony. He would always come padding up with his unusual walk when we came with food. One night, we noticed he had an abcess on his neck, and we immediately pulled him. That was over 10 years ago. The colony's caretaker originally named Jackie ``Jack,'' short for ``One Eyed Jack,'' because she believed he was born with one eye. So did most of the vets who saw him throughout the years. Last year, however, a more perceptive vet told us he probably had an eye at birth that had been deflated by trauma. No wonder he shies away when you move your hand towards his face! The vet said to watch the eye, as phletic (deflated) eyes can go cancerous. Sure enough, it did. A month or so ago, the eye socket went all bloody. The vet thinks it was the tumor breaking through the cornea. Then the tumor started to grow. Being from a substantial outdoor colony, Jackie knows how to get along with other cats. He's happiest when he's up high with the other cats, who like being near the ceiling fixture that emits full spectrum light. We knew he was having problems when we saw him hiding on the floor beneath a table. Jackie is very young at heart for his some 17+ years. We've heard this is what keeps humans alive a long time, and we think it's Jackie's secret to being our oldest (in years) cat. He loves to play with ping-pong balls---or just loose stuff---just like a kitten, and jumps up to high places seemingly in a single bound. He loves being scratched behind his ears and will follow us almost anywhere to get more and more of this: leaping up on top of things, so he is at human head height, and butting you with his head until he gets your attention. On the floor, he constantly rubs against your legs. Maybe he's making up for all the years he was on the streets with little human contact.
