Troutdale, OR
Rolo is our 8 year old Schnauzer mix. We’ve had him since he was about 3 mos. We wanted a new family member and came across Rolo online. We are blessed to have Rolo and a newer brother, Trippy and able to house them in a pretty good park like setting the in Oregon. Rolo is the serious guy though he does love his walks. Rolo loves his quiet time like he’s the librarian or hall monitor haha. Rolo is the serious guy though he does enjoy his walks. Rolo loves his quiet time like he’s the librarian or hall monitor haha. All so very serious, he’s a wonderful watch dog. He keeps us safe and loves to cuddle up to dad. He’s a daddy’s boy that’s for sure! He loves his brother though Rolo would be the bingo hall player vs the ball and fetch guy. He’s loved so much. Rolo is one of the family. He’s got his place cuddled up beside dad and his mother spot sunken into the couch. He has his Mr Bob toy and other chews that are his and no shares. Rolo is Mr Serious. He should be wearing a suit with spectacles on haha. When he leave for drives or to camping, Rolo has to have the front seat and sit up there while dad drives; mom gets to sit in back. Every time. On June 2nd I was preparing to take Rolo for a walk. He got out ahead of me and in an instant he was struck by a speeding car which did not stop. Our street is 25mph. He’s been to see our vet. He’s got a pretty bad break to a front leg. The vet has wrapped it a couple times and doing some imaging and we are certain he’ll need surgery to heal right. I’m working part-time and on a fixed income. I’ve also been helping a son out who recently lost his job. We are on a fixed income and so the best for our pets. This is $$ we just don’t have and would mean the world to have Rolo heal right. We do right & pay it forward.

Hyak
Hyak is an 8-year-old Labrador Retriever in Troutdale, OR, who needs $673 for a lumpectomy surgery.
Troutdale, OR
I have cerebral palsy and the process for receiving an assistances dog was long and took many years and patients to go through the application process and be approved for financial assistance to get my dog. But it was all worth it when I met Hyak. We have had a bond from day one and have been family for 6 years now, She was 2 when I met her for the first time and I knew right away we would spend many happy years together. She had been through months of training before we met and I traveled to Anacortes, Washington to Summit Assistance Dogs to train with her before she was able to come home with me to her forever home. She helps me with my day to day tasks such as taking off my socks, picking up things I've dropped and closing the door behind us. She is always by my side and goes everywhere with me from shopping trips to Doc. appointments and volunteering at Intendant living services center.
