PJ is an incredibly sweet 12-month-old pup who has endured unimaginable pain from multiple fractures in his femur, foot, and ankle joints. Despite all of this, he has managed to keep his gentle nature intact. Sadly, PJ’s injuries were caused by a hit-and-run, and for far too long, he was left to suffer without help. When D&A Animal Rescue found PJ, they were heartbroken to see the extent of his injuries. X-rays revealed severe fractures in several areas of his leg and foot, compounded by osteoporosis. Three veterinarians have confirmed that his condition is critical. Surgery to repair the damage isn’t a viable option, leaving amputation as the only path forward to give PJ a chance at a pain-free life. Charlie is a 2-year-old Pitbull Mix in Magnolia, TX, who needs $2,000 for Intensive Wound and Heartworm Treatment.

Charlie is one brave boy! He was tied to a car and dragged for several blocks resulting in severe wounds. On top of that, he is heartworm positive. But thankfully, D&A Animal Rescue came to the rescue and is ensuring Charlie receives the special treatment and veterinary care he needs. Right now, Charlie is getting Phovia Light Therapy, laser therapy, and his bandages changed regularly. He also takes antibiotics and pain medicine to help with his wounds. The kind people at the Neighborhood Veterinary Center are taking such good care of him. They think it will take about 2-3 more weeks before his wounds are all better. After that, they'll need to treat his heartworms. Despite his traumatic past, Charlie is a happy-go-lucky guy that has so much love to give. He is constantly happy with a tail that never stops wagging. Charlie still has a long way to go on his healing journey, but thanks to the team at D&A Animal Rescue Team, he now has hope for a new life. Sacha
Sacha is a 16-year-old Pekingese in Texas City , TX, who needs $500 for Kidneys Failure Treatment.

My baby is in the beginning of kidney failure. The doctor wants her to be on daily IV, to flush out the toxins in her kidneys. Sacha is a fighter and she is not ready to go, we are not ready either. She is still eating and alert. I have had Sacha for half of my life and all of my daughter’s, we don’t know life without her. I have exhausted all of my savings on her treatment and she needs more. Sacha is 1 year’s older than my daughter. They have been together, since birth. She has been there for birthdays, Christmas, first days of school. She has been with my daughter for every special moment. Sacha is loved by every family member. We celebrate her each year with a birthday party. Her favorite food is chick fil a and fish, which she gets on her birthday. My Sacha can sing better than any human. She is ferocious and doesn’t mind taking on the biggest dog. She is also loving and will cheer anybody up on their saddest day. She is truly one of a kind and to know Sacha is to love her. These 16 years have flown by and I wish i can have 16 more, but I will settle for more days, week’s, months or a year. Sacha is receiving treatment at Neighborhood Veterinary Center. She is on daily IV, fluid pills and is getting her kidneys flushed. She is currently there now and will get a updated treatment plan, accordingly to how she responds. She has gotten two different panels of blood testing. I have exhausted all of my savings. So far, I have spent $700 dollars. I can’t afford anything else. I have nothing left. This year has been extremely hard with money, illness, injuries and death in my family. It would mean the world for me, if I could get help.

Maxiene was adopted from a rescue organization. She was taken from an abusive owner & put into a temporary rescue shelter where I found her. She is 7 yrs old and she became a member of the family. Although her name is Maxiene she has several nicknames, Sweets, Snoog & my love are a few. She adores to go for rides in the car & she loves to drink my morning coffee with me. She is very smart. Maxine is like a child to me. She requires alot of attention & love. We sing to her and give her belly rubs. In return she will give us kisses. Maxiene is a dog who loves to be loved. If you arent giving her enough attention she will find a way to get it. She follows me around the house everywhere I go. I lost my job due to covid & I'm barely able to pay rent, bills & put food on the table. I'm a single mom of 2 sons. I am asking for help to cover my babies medications that she must have. I dont know what I would do without Maxiene. We love her & need her. I cant imagine our lives without Maxiene. She has captured a special place in my heart. She provides love, compassion and a listening ear, she is always there for us. Unfortunately she has heartworms which require expensive medication & a medicine for fleas and intestinal worms which is also pricey. These are required medications for her. Maxiene is very special to me & my kids. She is always there to love u & make u feel better when you are down. She cuddles & spoons with u at night or if u are taking a nap. When we sing to her, her ears stand up straight and she gets so excited. She makes the funniest noises and snores while sleeping.
