Loui
Loui is a 4-year-old Pitbull in Yorkville, IL, who needs $2,000 for GI Foreign Body Enterotomy.
Yorkville
My dog loui has been in my life since 3 days before the COVID shut down. Such a perfect time for me and my daughters to gain true companionship. He his a love and light to anyone he meets. Truthfully the sweetest dog I’ve ever known. My dog who I call my son was the missing piece to our puzzle. He’s very curious and is my shadow. He follows me around all day no matter what. He loves coats and will lay on them if you put them down. Loui is special because he has one ear that sticks straight up and one that flops over. He also knows tricks and will always do them for a treat. He loves to fetch and give paw the most! My dog ingested a foreign body. We are not 100% sure about what it is even in the X-ray. But we tried the barium swallow as well to see and we can’t fully see what it is. He will need surgery to correct the issue and this is the last hope before euthanasia. I am currently a full time nursing student who is a single mother of 2. It would mean the world to me to get my dog back healthy due to the fact that he is my emotional support animal and eases a lot of pain in my life. I love him like I love my human children.

Enzo
Enzo is a 2-year-old Pitbull in Moline, IL, who needs $500 for Diagnosis and Treatment.
Moline, IL
We got Enzo in February 2020. He was born Christmas Eve 2019. He lived with another Pitbull we had to put asleep. Now, he lives with 2 chihuahuas, his 2 human sisters, his dad and mom. Enzo lives in a home with a big yard. He loves to be with his family and playing. He is the sweetest big brother. He treats the chihuahua like he is their parent. He is so kind and gentle. Enzo is loved by everyone, even our neighbors. He sleeps in bed with us or one of his sisters. When we are not home, he sits on the couch and waits for us. He is a huge part of our family. He is not a dog to us. Enzo is a huge light into our life. He makes us laugh every single day. He dances around, tilts his head to everything you say, watches television, and even responds to the television. Enzo loves going to the bus stop to get his sisters, and going on a ride. He is a huge factor in our home, lives and family. Enzo randomly stopped eating, drinking excessive amount of water, throwing everything up, and increased urination. He started being incontinent in his sleep and loosing weight fast. He also has a bump that appeared on his neck. Our pet means the world to us. I am in my last semester of nursing school and I also just had surgery. So I am off work. This means everything is put onto my husband to pay the bills. We are broken knowing that Enzo may not be with us if we don't get help that we 100% need.

Wickett
Wickett is a 12-year-old Shih Tzu in Moline, IL, who needs $766 for an eyelid mass removal and dental cleaning.
Moline, IL
Wickett came to me 11 years ago from a friend who wasn't able to care for him properly. We lived in Texas, moved to Michigan, and now live in the city in Illinois. He has a "sister" dog and a "brother" cat. This crew is the one he's been with the longest, though we've lost members along the way. He has a fenced back yard he enjoys spending time in. We go on several sniff walks daily. He really enjoys using his nose! His favorite place to sleep is on the bed in a puddle of sunshine. Wickett won't get out of bed until noon if I don't roust him! We play sniff games daily and he likes to chase his Squeaks! Wickett is not a very food motivated dog, he prefers a lot of praise! Wickett is a talker and gives a lot of sass if someone does something he doesn't approve of. He's terrified of thunder, fireworks, loud cars, and a variety of high pitched beeps. Wickett has a habit of going absolutely boneless if he's not done with you petting him. His favorite place to hide is a nest under the couch. Wickett has a mass on his eye that needs to be removed. He also needs to have his teeth cleaned before he gets any older. The Oak Knoll Animal Hospital says they can do the both at the same time. The mass is getting larger and it's starting to obstruct his vision somewhat. Hopefully it can be removed without too much damage to his eyelid. I had to get my roof replaced unexpectedly this spring, followed by a breast biopsy with a very high deductible insurance. I cannot afford to do this surgery and cleaning for Wickett and it's breaking my heart to see that mass on his eyelid when he gives me kisses!
