Violet
Violet is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Vallejo, CA, who needs $2,000 for Enterotomy.
Vallejo, CA
Violet is a domestic shorthair cat who was originally placed in foster care through the Peninsula SPCA before I adopted her into her permanent home. She is an indoor-only, single cat living in a stable and loving environment with a consistent daily routine. Violet was previous healthy until her most recent accident. Violet was seen at Ocean Avenue Veterinary Hospital in April 2026 after ingesting foreign material, causing a life-threatening gastrointestinal obstruction. She required emergency surgery to remove the blockage. Violet is recovering well following surgery and is currently stable under post-operative care. Violet is a friendly and affectionate cat who has formed a strong bond with me since adoption. She is very social, often follows me around the home, and enjoys spending time nearby or sitting with me. She is playful and curious, sometimes mischievous, but responds well to routine and interaction. Her presence provides comfort and companionship in my daily life. I am a student preparing to begin my Master of Social Work (MSW) program. The unexpected emergency surgery for Violet has created financial strain, leaving me in debt and making it difficult to fully prepare for graduate school expenses.

Bucky
Bucky is a 10 year old Chihuahua in San Francisco, CA, who needs $650 for X-Ray and Technician Interpretation.
San Francisco, CA
Bucky came into my life 9 years ago after one of my bestfriends adopted him from the SPCA at 1 years old. He has been lighting up my life every since! So Bucky is 10 years old now. Unfortunatly that means he is a Senior dog even tho obviously hes just a baby. With Bucky Boi's age, size, and breed,he is naturally predisposed to and has degenerative valve disease causing a strong heart murmur and an enlarged heart which is causing complications with his breathing and heart function. He needs an X-ray to determine progressiom at Ocean Ave Vet. Most of you have met Bucky and know he is the sweetest boy and loves everyone. He just wants to love and be loved and play. He loves naps and snacks and a good walk which is becoming increasingly difficult for him given his condition. Hes a little goof ball and loves to make new people friends! We all know how vet bills go. To figure out his continued care and medications an X-Ray is needed. I know its asking a lot but I just want to make sure I can keep him here and confortable as long as I can. Hes got so much more life to live.

Cookies
Cookies is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in San Francisco, CA, who needs $2,000 for Knee Surgery.
San Francisco, CA
Cookies fatefully came into my life 6 years ago from Family Dog Rescue, SF. I adopted her after the passing of my grandmother, and really think of Cookies of lighting my life back up after tragedy. We been through everything together, high school, quarantine, college, and now I'm hoping my graduation. She is my baby, it hurts my soul that I cannot afford her surgery. Ocean Ave Veternarian Hospital is Cookies primary Vet. Cookies has a torn ACL, and is in desperate need of knee surgery for her hind right leg. She injured her leg last year and her health has been steadily declining since then. Without the use of her hind leg, she doesn't want to walk anymore and is in constant pain. She wants to lay down all the time and misses going on long walks with me. Cookies is the sweetest, most intelligent dog I have ever owned. She is so affectionate, and loves to cuddle with the family. She loved to run around with giant stuffed toys- the bigger the better! She enjoys the soft plush toys the most. She also knows and comforts me when I'm sad; I am never alone with her around, she always follows me around waiting for adventure. I'm injured from my last job and recovering- I am also taking care of my parents; my father is retired and my mother is disabled from a stroke. There is no possible way we can afford Cookies surgery. Please help my girl walk again.

Romeo
Romeo is a 6-year-old Pomeranian in San Francisco, CA, who needs $4,000 for Reconstruction left medially luxated patella with osseous remodeling of the stifle and concurrent ligamentous injury.
San Francisco, CA
Romeo is a beautiful sweet tempered loving Pomeranian who came to me 6 years ago as I grieved the loss of a gorgeous red sable Pom named Obie who died, at age 18, three months earlier. Romeo wound up in a rescue after sustaining a fracture of his left forepaw. The family could not afford surgery. I accepted him knowing he would limp. He now has a disabling ACL tear in his left rear knee. Romeo is appropriately named. He is loving and affectionate and despite his progressive limp he is often the center of attention and the star of the show! Romeo has become progressively more disabled by the degeneration in his limbs and can no longer walk long distances due to pain and instability of the left rear. I am a licensed medical doctor and practice owner who began breeding Poms in 1997. As a result of semi retirement and closure of a medical office compounded by the COVID-19 shutdown, I face operational costs from my shuttered fitness and nutrition services and lost income. Romeo has degeneration of both rear stifles but an unstable ACL tear in the left makes it impossible to bear weight and causes the knee joint to rotate. Romeo has received a spectrum of quality veterinary interventions and care but benefits most from topical creams and an ACE Wrap/sock splint. He also benefits from a whole plant hemp extract for dogs and CBD chews. Romeo and Mia together are a wonderful couple. Mia is a white and sand toy Pom who came to me from a rescue after being abandoned on the street. Romeo is a show dog and he enjoys being in crowds. His favorite hangout is the Embarcadero ice rink in San Francisco during Winter months. He also enjoys time on our patio aviary and chasing the crows away!
