RYDER
Ryder is a 4-year-old German Shepherd Mix in Seabrook, NH, who needs $2,000 for Removal of Heartworms.
Seabrook, NH
I adopted Ryder from a kill shelter in Texas and they did not treat him for his heartworm condition before adopting him out. They also did not neuter him, which is very unusual for shelters, especially in a large city like Houston. In a short time that I’ve had Ryder, I’ve really grown to love him. I had open heart surgery last year so his companionship means the world to me. He loves my son and visits to the park. Ryder thinks that he can catch birds so he loves birdwatching following jumping almost trying to fly to catch the birds. It’s so funny. He really enjoys visits and walks to the park and playing with a deflated football. A few weeks after adoption I brought Ryder to our local veterinarian and they discovered that he is full of Heartworms and he had kennel cough at the time which they treated him for, and he also needed some vaccinations which has already been completed the process of eliminating the heartworm from his body, is a lengthy one, requiring several visits and stays at the hospital and much medication I had open heart surgery last year which caused me to be out of work for several months so I got behind on my bills and I’m paying my credit cards. This is why I do not have credit to pay for the veterinary bills at this time.

Duncan
Duncan is a 12-year-old Papillion in Seabrook, NH, who needs $2,000 for Perianal Gland Tumor Removal.
Seabrook, NH
Duncan was purchased at a local pet shop after my husband and I visited several times, it was meant to be for us to purchase him. Duncan is an ACA certified Papillon and lives with both my husband and I along with our cat. He did have his best friend Dakota (large chocolate lab) who passed on last year (2023). Duncan loves his bed, the couch, our bath mats, etc! He can make himself comfortable wherever in our home. Duncan is fun, loving and super cuddly. He gets along great with all people, sometimes too much of a social butterfly! Duncan is our fur baby as we do not have any children of our own. He loves our nieces and nephews and enjoys playing with them. He is very loved and means the world to us. Duncan’s favorite toy is his “Lamb Chop”. He cannot get enough of it! He also has a blast playing with our new addition to the family “Runtz”, who is a kitten. His favorite food is the “Moist and Meaty” soft food. He surprisingly likes when I groom him with the buzzer. He can speak, sit, lay down and twirl. He sleeps with his tongue out and with give you endless amounts of kisses! Duncan has struggles over time with his Anal Glands. At one point he had impacted anal glands and received surgery for it. As time went on the spot to the right of his anus started to turn into a bump and when he started chewing at it, he created a hole. We took Duncan to the vet and we were told that he would need surgery again, but this time it was to remove a tumor and would cost nearly $5,700. This is a sudden major expense for both my husband and I. We do not want to see Duncan suffer. We are afraid it could lead to worse symptoms if not taken care of. We love him so much. He’s such a good boy and needs the help before he gets too sick. He is so loved, so much.

Friend
Friend is a 7-year-old Domestic Shorthair in Seabrook, NH, who needs $2,000 for Dental Feline Major.
Seabrook, NH
Friend came to our house in the dead of winter. His eyes were swollen shut with pus, his weight was dropping, and he was shivering. We started to let him in our house for an hour at a time. Eventually, he looked so meek we picked him up and brought him to the local vet. We got a call from the owner. She had fallen on hard times and asked if we could take him. We said “Yes!” Friend is my best friend, that is how he received his name. I was in a dark place before he came along. He makes me happy for the first time in a long time. He cuddles with everyone in the house. He is constantly with me. He sleeps with me at night. He loves to play with his brother, even though Plover can get rough. He loves to visit my mom and receive belly rubs from my sister. I am currently unemployed and paying my way through Graduate school, with my life’s savings. I am looking for a job, but driving is a bit more difficult because I have Cerebral Palsy. He saved my life, so I am going to spend the rest of my life doing the same for him. Friend needs to have a dental procedure. He needs his teeth scaled, cleaned, and a few of them pulled. He has severe calculus and gingivitis. His teeth are slowly rotting. Dr. Baker's, Old Town Animal Hospital has given me an estimate between two thousand and three thousand dollars for the procedure depending on how many teeth he needs to be pulled. Friend loves to cuddle and play! He loves to chase a toy squirrel on a string. He loves to hiss and sigh when it is getting away from him. He has the most amazing purr. It starts loud and deep, then fades to little trills. He also likes to share food with his brother. They trade bowls like baseball cards! He loves to have his tummy rubbed and sleep on his llama chicken.
