Charlie
Charlie is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Hamburg, NY, who needs $13,000 for Diabetic Ketoacidosis.
Hamburg, NY
Charlie is 10 years 9 months young. His mother Michelle Delmar picked him out as a pup(He was the runt). Michelle and I started dating when Charlie was five. We have been inseperable since. Charlie went to the vet a month ago with no issues. Three days ago we noticed he became lathargic, didn't want to go for walks, didn't want to eat and started to throw up. Charlie, who is currently hospitalized with diabetic ketoacidosis. His condition is critical, and continued hospitalization is required to stabilize him and save his life. He is at Orchard Park Veterinary Center. Charlie has been part of Michelle’s life for 10 years, and I’ve been lucky to know him for the past five. He’s family, and the bond we share is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Charlie’s warm, calm personality shines through to everyone he meets, and knows how to make us laugh. I love when he dives into grocery bags, just to make noise and get a reaction out of us. The projected cost for Charlie’s care is $7,649.74 – $13,791.74, with a $6000 deposit due at admission or they wouldn't treat him. We were able to provide $2,500 to cover the first day. I was working out town and now I'm looking for a job here. Michelle is searching as too

Ghost
Ghost is a 4-month-old Mastiff/Samoyed/Husky in Buffalo, NY, who needs $1,500 for Diagnostic Scans and Prescriptions.
Buffalo, NY
Well, the plan was to take my sister to get her dog Echo from a family who live an hour away. I had no intentions of getting a pet but the family had brought two dogs Echo and this cute fluff ball who later became my Ghost. I've had Ghost since he was seven weeks old. Within the family, we have eight dogs, two of whom regularly visit me, Max and Morty. Ghost is great, he loves playing with his siblings Max, Morty, Trey, and Echo. He's quiet but loves playing with his chew toys and chasing balls. He loves hiding under the bed and moving around the house to find the coldest spots on the floor. The one whom Ghost can't get enough of is his sibling Echo from the same litter he came from. They just play all day and knock themselves out from how tired they get. Anything that squeaks gets his attention. He hasn't had the chance to experience snow yet but he loves cold weather and sitting on the cold concrete outside. The way he sleeps upside down with his tongue sticking out is a great view. Since I've gotten Ghost he's had chronic diarrhea, which seems to be subsiding with the new round of antibiotics and stomach lining meds. But what has come up most recently is his front leg. He has lost motor function I've taken him to two veterinary clinics that say the same, nothing is broken it's neurological. Now I have to find specialists in Neurology, podiatry, and Physical therapy. I was able to cover the cost of all his meds for his gastro problems and some of his new pain meds for his leg. But the vet bills are starting to get a pile. Diagnostics, x-rays, bloodwork, and what else is to come down the road with new specialists.

Dawson
Dawson is a 5-year-old Golden Retriever in Camillus, NY, who needs $2,000 for Pericardiectomy.
Camillus, NY
We picked Dawson out on August 23rd, 2017; or should I say, he picked us. He clung right on and refused to let go. From that moment forward, we have clung on to him and our sincere love for him makes us not want to give up or let go. Dawson is our entire world and has found a special place in our hearts. He is 5 years old and has a lot of life left to live. He is our only animal and only child! Dawson is blessed with 2 very loving families and has stolen everyone’s hearts. It is hard not to love him after spending only just a few minutes with him. He greets anyone and everyone he comes across (quite literally), even if it means dragging us across a parking lot. He HAS to say hi to anybody he encounters. He steals the show on every walk he goes on and every store that allows him in it! We like to say that Dawson can understood every word that comes out of our mouths. We can’t get away with saying anything about him without him knowing it. He is also a helper by trade. He insists on carrying our water bottles around the block so that we don’t have to. While he is a huge proponent of swimming, he also has a strong fascination for the snow and will do as many snow angels as he can! He was recently diagnosed with Idiopathic Pericardial Effusion. He has been rushed to the emergency room twice, which required him to go through two Heart Taps, multiple x-rays, ultra sounds, blood panels, and other tests. His treatment is ongoing and he was currently undergoing a CT scan. Next step is a Pericardectomy. Dawson is 5 yrs old and this was completely sudden and unexpected. Not only has this taken an emotional toll on us, it has taken a significant financial toll. Having Dawson get a 2nd chance at the life he so very much deserves would mean everything to us, as he is our world.

Diezel
Diezel is a Bull Mastiff puppy in Delevan, NY, who needs $1,900 to replace ligaments and tendons in elbow and place elbow back into socket.
Delevan, NY
Diezel is just 10 months old. He has been with us since he was 7 weeks old. Diezel is one of two other dogs in our family. Diezel is not just our family pet and companion. He is one of my kids. He is my life, best friend, and sidekick. Diezel is the sweetest most gentle giant you will ever meet. He deserves the world. Diezel is a major part of our family. He sleeps with me every single night. He goes everywhere with me. Diezel is my best friend and companion. Diezel enjoys playing with stuffed animals and playing tug o war. He plays with his other fur baby friends Koda and Sadie daily. He loves to play in snow. Diezel is a very sweet loving boy with no mean bone in his body. We get hugs every morning from him. Koda and Sadie Mae are diezel's best friends and they walk side by side even when causing mischief. Diezel will wrap his legs around you like a human and hug you tight, even with visitors he doesn't know. Diezel is also very vocal and will talk to you. When your sad he comforts you, and lick away your tears. Diezel was hit by a car on Monday night of December 10th. He sustained a leg injury that needs surgery to fix. Unfortunately the medical costs are preventing his surgery and recovery. Diezel was bounced from one vet to another and we were treated poorly and a vet denied services to diezel after accepting him in his office. We found another to accept him. I am a single mom currently not working so on a fixed income due to my daughters disability. The surgery diezel needs is over 4,000.00. diezel is one of my kids and getting him healthy and normal again would mean the world to me. He doesn't deserve to be put down.

Venus
Venus is a 2-year-old Domestic long hair in Niagara Falls, NY, who needs $1,200 for Endoscopy.
Niagara Falls, NY
Venus is a stray from my neighborhood. She came to me in the summer of 2020 with fleas, malnourished, underweight and obviously not cared for. We've formed a bond immediately, and I slowly worked her into my home. I ensured that she went to the vet and got spayed and she's had her shots. We have become very close and she is now my best friend. Venus is incredibly sweet, loving and playful. I really don't know what to say about her because there are no words to describe just what we do for each other. I have never met an animal that has been so loving. Her sweet little face is my medicine when I am feeling down. And I know I light up her life as much as she lights up mine. I currently have a dog that has cancer. I borrowed from family and friends for surgery. I make $16 an hour and work 36 hours a week. I pay all my bills. I have bad credit. I just want my best friend to be with me forever. She deserves life. Rather unfortunately, Venus swallowed an elastic band from a mask. Some of her toys have elastic strings attached and she doesn't think anything of playing with elastic. She swallowed a piece when I wasn't looking. I know that she did because I watched her swallow the last little bit. I took her to the emergency vet to induce vomiting, but it failed. I did not have the money to do an endoscopy. Venus likes to play fetch, but she doesn't go get a ball immediately. I will throw the ball down the stairs for her and then it will all of a sudden appear an hour or two later. We have this little game that we play, I will throw it down the stairs randomly and it will just appear at a later point. I'm actually quite amused by that.
