Taz
Taz is a 2 year old American Shorthair in Santee, CA, who needs $2,000 for Pelvic and Spine Imagery with Sedation.
Santee, CA
I got Taz at 6months old from a friend. He was living outdoors hunting for himself and getting a little bit of kibble to eat. I took him home and tried to keep him indoors but was unable to. He would not go far and stayed in the back yard or neighbors yards and came home at night to sleep inside. The other night we went out and never came back. Then today 5 days later he was out front unable to come inside. I think he got hit and was able to make it back. He is being evaluated but something is wrong with his pelvis and possibly spine. Im disabled myself so its been hard just to get him evaluated. He has brought me back from my depression after having 23 surgeries myself. Last year I had 4 surgeries and after each one he would lay on my bed with me amd not leave my side till I started feeling better. I used to be a zookeeper so I trained taz to do behaviors and he loves to work for his treats. Im disabled and on a fixed income. Im able to pay for his initial evaluation but i cant afford the rest of the care. I still have to have another surgery myself in a few months. Any help would be great i just want to give him the best care possible

Mushu
Mushu is a 14 year old Norwegian Forest Cat in San Diego, CA, who needs $7,124 for Kidney & Bladder Infection Diagnosis & Treatment.
San Diego, CA
The story of Cali and Mushu embodies the classic pet adoption question, "who rescued whom." When Cali arrived at the humane society, Mushu locked eyes and made a beeline for the window. When held, she perched herself on Cali's chest to make pizza (no biscuits for this girl) and purred up a storm. It was love at first sights, and they've been inseparable since for nearly 15 years. When Mushu stopped eating and grooming, we knew something was very wrong. After multiple trips to her local vet, she was hospitalized at Pet Emergency & Specialty Center-East County to receive IV fluids and antibiotics for a serious bladder and kidney infection. Although she's still not eating, her white blood cell count and kidney enzymes are looking much better. We hope to bring her home soon. If you didn't understand basic biology, you'd think Mushu is Cali's biological child. You've never seen a human and cat so similar in temperament and so deeply bonded. Mushu trained herself to be an emotional support kitty, and helps support Cali's PTSD recovery. She loves a good car ride, and we know that she has many more adventures ahead of her. While it's never a good time to have an expensive pet emergency, our reserves are especially low after a long-term disability and extended unemployment. Our baby girl is our priority, even if it means maxing out our credit cards. Help to offset our expenses is most welcome!

Uncle Iroh
Uncle Iroh is a 3 month old Holland Lop in San Diego, CA, who needs $2,000 for Cyst Removal.
San Diego, CA
Uncle Iroh lives with his brothers and sister. They have hay pellets water and a few pillows and blankets. He likes to play with his sister most. But likes to cuddle with everyone. Uncle Iroh got a wound on his back that turned into a large lump. He took antibiotics and it started to go down. Last night it popped. I did my best to get all the puss out. This left a big hole. After going to the vet it was told to me that he will need surgery to remove the cyst pocket. He is the sweetest little bunny. My daughter likes to sit on the couch with him and watch Tv. He hops around with his siblings and snuggles with everyone. In financial hard ship post divorce and being a single mother. Working 2 jobs to make ends meet. Unexpected large financial bill for a required surgery.

Nick
Nick is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in San Diego, CA, who needs $2,000 for Cancer.
San Diego, CA
Nick’s life began in heartbreak—abandoned by his owner and left to die. But when we found him, everything changed. We gave him a home, and in return, he gave us over seven years of unconditional love, laughter, and loyalty. Nick isn’t just a pet—he’s family. Now, he needs our help as much as we once helped him, and we’re reaching out to this community to give him the care he deserves.” What we thought was just an ear infection, we treated Nick, doing everything we could, and have already spent more than $5,000 on his care. But after a biopsy, we got news no pet parent wants to hear—it’s cancer. The good news is Nick’s cancer is not terminal and it is treatable. He still has so much life, and tail wags left to give. But the cost of continued treatment is more than we can handle. Nick was once abandoned and left to die, but we took him in and he’s been part of our family for over seven years. Now we’re fighting to give him the same second chance he gave us. We’re asking for your help—every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Nick’s treatment and his chance to live a happy, healthy life. We are on a fixed income and have already gone beyond our means, taking on $5,000 in medical debt to save Nick. We are devastated to be so close to giving him the care he needs, yet unable to afford the additional costs.

Missy
Missy is a 4.5 year old Maltese in El Cajon, CA, who needs $2,000 for Anti-Inflammatory Medication, MRI, and Neuro Exam.
El Cajon, CA
Missy was my very early Christmas present; she was born on October 10th, 2020. I've had her since she was a little puppy. She quickly became my world and my best friend. I've struggled with chronic depression and severe anxiety, and she gets me through the worst of it. She motivates me every single day, I love her with every fiber of my being, and I only ever want the best for her. Missy's hind legs have stopped working completely, and it is extremely painful for her to try to move. We first went to the Pet Emergency in La Mesa, but they referred us to a neurosurgeon and an MRI. She is diagnosed with IVDD, but we need an MRI done to see how bad it is; from her obvious pain levels now, it's extremely urgent. Missy has a massive personality; she's our little soldier guard dog that routinely barks at the mailman. She makes everyone happy, and it's her favorite thing to do. She'll fall right to your feet with her belly up, telling you to pet her. She loves the attention. She's truly a good girl, she deserves an amazing full life for how much she has helped me mentally & physically. It's only my mom and I after her extremely abusive relationship, which has left us extremely broke. We can hardly afford our rent and bills at the moment, and my mom doesn't have a working vehicle, and I do all my schooling online.

Buddy Holly
Buddy Holly is a 7 year old Old English Bulldog in San Diego, CA, who needs $500 for Infected Smelly Sore on Back of Neck.
San Diego, CA
Buddy & I have been together for 6 & 1/2 years. His owner went to jail when Buddy was only 13 months old. It took a long time for him to adjust as these dogs are very loyal to their owner. He waited at my front door for his owner to come, which was sad in itself, but within a month or so he settled down & would play ball with me out back & finally after 3 months, he let me take him for a walk. Buddy has been to the Urgent Care on Jackson Drive twice. He had a lump between his toes once & the second time he was passing a kidney stone, so he bled out of his (honker) for 8 days before it passed & has been fine up until now. He has a wound on the back of his neck that looks horrible & smells infected. He won’t let me touch it so I know it must hurt & it’s been there for awhile now. Buddy is very docile. He’s an amazing dog who can play every sport besides golf, hockey & tennis. He’s great as a soccer goalie, basketball opposition, volleyball, baseball & recently football. I taught him every sport as he loves to be outdoors & loves to play. He’s an amazing dog & my best friend. He’s loyal, loves affection, and his wall around the block in the evening after his dinner. This is new to me to have to reach out for financial support from friends & strangers. I became disabled after a sinus infection along with stress, took my hearing away. I’m completely deaf, along with Vertigo & Tinnitus. We live on a very small fixed income so please help!

My dog is very playful, he even gets along with cats he's very well with children and loves to be cuddled. He is very exciting and loves to lay on your chest. He is very quiet and everywhere I take him people just are drawn to him. Are you still went to a divorce and so I left everything to my ex-husband. My dog is really all I have right now. Ellie
Ellie is a 4-months-old Yorkshire terrier in La Mesa, CA, who needs $2,000 for Parvovirus treatment.
La Mesa, CA
I was looking for a pet to help me get through a hard time in my life with fertility issues. My husband and I wanted to bring some joy back to our house by adopting a yorkie puppy. We eventually found one online that was located near by and went to buy her. She is perfect for us and is definitely our baby. My little girl loves to be around me and my husband. She loves to cuddle and sleep in my arms. She also loves to chase her daddy and bite his pants. She is his little shadow! Ellie loves to run up to the mirror in our hallway and bark at herself. She thinks it’s another cute puppy that she wants to play with. She also does a silly little howl when she can’t see one of us. Sadly our baby girl was only with us for 3 days before she got very ill and was throwing up constantly. We rushed her to the Pet Emergency and Specialty Center in La Mesa CA. They diagnosed her with Parvo and sadly was almost septic. She’s been in the hospital now for 5 days and counting. She already had her low days and is slowly getting better. All of the vets here have taken great care of her. This was very unexpected, we didn’t think we would buy a brand new puppy and she would get sick instantly. We have taken out several credit lines to cover her bills. We are getting close to $10,000. Any help would be greatly appreciated so we can enjoy time with her.

CocoPuff
CocoPuff is a 9-year-old Pitbull in Chula Vista, CA, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.
Chula Vista, CA • Passion for Pitties
CocoPuff is fighting for her life, and her condition is breaking the hearts of everyone at Passion for Pitties rescue. The team first saved CocoPuff from a shelter. "She was covered in scars, had a skin condition, and was very fearful. We knew that a senior Pitbull in her condition would likely not be adopted, so we stepped in immediately," Heather H., from the rescue, tells Waggle. CocoPuff went to an incredible foster home where she transformed from a scared and anxious dog to a happy, confident, and adventurous pooch who loves to hike, go to the beach and the dog park. Just as CocoPuff was thriving, she had surgery to remove two tumors. Soon after, she developed a raging incision site infection that spread so rapidly that some of her skin became necrotic. The rescue is trying to raise money for this unexpected complication and needs your help. She's getting extensive medical care now to save her life. "I cannot express what a special, sweetie pie CocoPuff is," Heather adds. "We must help this amazing girl and not give up on her when she needs us the most. Please, if you can, donate to CocoPuff's medical care. We would be forever grateful, as will her future family!"

He loves to hug up with you with his head on your shoulder or simple be held and rocked like a baby. His favorite game is keep-away and boy does he think his a BIG DOG. You have to keep an eye on your phone and cups as he has a habit of picking them up and walking away with it, his a sneaky one. He makes the most funny sounds, when he cries he sounds like a new born baby crying. He also makes a sound and it sounds like someone saying EWWWW!! He says it so clear. If anyone starts singing or if music is on Tv he will stop what he is doing and just watching and tilt his head back and forth. Spike went limp and stopped breathing. He was rushed to the vets where he was put on Oxygen. They think he aspirated causing pneumonia. They had to ambulance him to a 24hr vet where he declined even more and put in a oxygen chamber. Ella
Ella — 08ee40
La Mesa, CA
Ella, also known as Bella, was born in Tijuana last October (2019). We adopted her in January and she’s taken over the house. Ella has an older brother, Miko, that she loves to torment and an older sister, Rosie, that feels her little shadow pestering her every moment. They absolutely love each other and have created a firm bond. Ella pretends to fall asleep next to you, then slinks her way closer and closer until she’s snuggling incognito. She’s such an independent spirit, until it’s bedtime, then she requires a little lift into the bed to sleep with us. The older dogs look to her to get treats and extra food; she’s got a knack for begging. We’ve already spent over $2,000 just on her diagnosis. After buying our house in December 2019, all of our money went to that. I’m currently unemployed attempting to get back on my feet, but it hasn’t been easy. We don’t want money as the reason Ella doesn’t get proper care. Ella has a small sore on her ear that was nagging and wouldn’t heal, so we took her to VCA Grossmont. Dr Avon did cytology and determined it to be Mast Cell Carcinoma. We were referred to Pet Emergency & Specialty Clinic where her oncologist, Dr Benz, completed a CT of her abdomen, chest x-ray, and FNA of her lymph nodes. She had elevated mast cells in one lymph node, otherwise okay. Miss Ella sounds like Chewbacca when she’s playing. It’s like she’s having a full conversation with who never is in front of her. Even Rosie and Miko look at us for translation. Ella has learned the art of the head tilt. She hears anything out of the ordinary and she’s the first to tilt her head, then move towards the questionable sound. She’s a leader in our house.
