I was working outside at a plant nursery and Charlie comes running up to me at 2months old about as a stray. Seemed like he was running from a wild animal. He was so sweet and didn’t leave my side the rest of my work day. He followed me to my truck and he ended up coming home with me. He got all of his shots, he got neutered and now lives happily with me. Charlie likes to go outside when I’m working in my garden. Normally an hour or two a day during the daylight hours. He was outside for an hour and all of a sudden he walks slowly up to me and I can just see blood pouring out of the top of his ear with two gashes. I have no clue where it came from. Then 3 hours later his mouth underneath starts swelling. I can’t afford to get him checked. Charlie has to sleep on the left side of my head at night or on my chest. It’s funny because if I move him he comes right back instantly like it’s a game. He loves water also which is cool for a cat. The laser pointer is his favorite toy. He has a lot of manners also. To be able to have help to see if he has an abscess that needs to be drained or to see if his gashes are infected can determine the life or death of him. I can’t lose him, he’s only 2 and my best friend and I can’t afford the vet sadly. He won’t eat or drink.

We adopted Rafael from a shelter about 2 years ago and he quickly became part of our family. He is a very loving senior cat who is in need of help. Three months ago he stopped eating dry food and treats. He also was been avoiding his water bowl. Then he even started to avoid wet food. So I took him to the vet. Rafael was diagnosed with stomatitis, a painful inflammation of the soft tissue inside his mouth. The vet said whole-mouth extraction was the only treatment she’d seen that offered a chance of fixing the problem. It took 2 surgeries to remove all his teeth and now it has been two months and he has developed an infection in his jaw bone and requires a third surgery that I can not afford. In the short time Rafael has been with us he has enriched our lives beyond measure. My anxiety and depression have vastly improved and even my son's behavior issues have lessened. We love him very much, but he is unable to eat enough food without pain to maintain an ideal weight, he has lost over 2lbs. I really do not want to euthanize him, not when there is another option. I am in dire financial straits. Living off of my son's social security benefits and what little I earn from a part-time job. I have no savings and maxed out my Care Credit card on the previous 2 surgeries. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please consider giving today!

Said was a special gift 8 years ago. I lost my other german shepard to cancer. I never thought that I would ever want another dog but when I got her that all changed. She has brought laughs to my life and is always there to greet me when I come home and it always includes a toy in her mouth so ill play with her. Or if im feeling down I can always count on her to cheer me up in her goofy dog way. She loves to be the center of attention and no matter what you do or where you go she is always there. She loves to sleep at the foot of the bed and in the walkway just so you know shes there. She loves to go for a car ride but wont sit still she trues so hard to sit up front with me and edges her way to the drivers seat. She just can't figure out why she can't be a lap dog. Any toy is her favorite as long as it squeaks. And she goes on for hours squeaking until the noise is gone. She can be a scary cat when it comes to thunder and want to be my shadow until its over so she snuggles by me to comfort her when I always thought dogs are supposed to protect us. She will bark for her favorite treat pig ear rolls. If she sees me she will sniff till I give up the other one SAIDE has always had a problem with allergies but nothing like this. She bites and chews be legs and paws raw till they start to bleed. I recently had be to the vet and the suggest Apoquel to help her with the condition but its so hard to purchase when you live paycheck to paycheck. I look at her suffering and feel like I let her down horribly because I always promised to take care of her. Going from full time and overtime to 30 hours with no overtime makes it hard to keep a roof over my head and take care of my best friend that has always been there for me. Losing the hours has made my budget tighter and has made it impossible to buy her necessary medicine.

We adopted her from a woman who was no longer to take care of her when she was 7 months old. She was an answer to our prayers after we suddenly lost our Sheltie Miley. She filled the void and is so very precious to us.
