Princess

Princess is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Calhan, CO, who needs $14,000 for Blood Transfusions.

Calhan, CO

Princess came into my life and quickly became so much more than a pet—she became family, my best friend, and a piece of my heart. From the moment she joined our family, she has brought so much love, comfort, happiness, and joy into our home. She has always had such a sweet and loving personality, and she has a special way of making everyone around her feel loved. I am doing everything I possibly can to give Princess the care and chance she deserves, but the unexpected emergency expenses have become overwhelming. I am asking for help because I refuse to give up on her while she is still fighting. Every donation, no matter the amount, could help provide the lifesaving treatment, hospitalization, and continued care Princess needs. Southern Rockies animal ER She has always been one of my babies, she interacts with family like she is super excited to see us. She is loving, gentle and super happy all around, and is a huge mommy’s girl and I refuse to give up on her when she needs me the most. God put her in my life for a reason and I don’t want to loose her at all. She loves going for car rides and swimming! I don’t make that much and it will mean more than world to have her back home and healthy again. Now, during the most difficult moment of her life, I am hoping others will help us give some of that love back to her. She is not “just a dog.” She is family, she is deeply loved

Buck

Buck is a 8 year old Labrador Retriever in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $5,000 for Addison's Disease, Life Support, and Imaging.

Colorado Springs, CO

Buck was a rescued pup we got when he was just under 6 months old. From then on he has been an absolute member of our family, where he closely grew up with his pup- sister Oaklee (boxer). Buck is a model citizen and has been an extremely healthy dog until he picked out the wrong treat at the pet store after a bath. Buck consumed a EarthWise “No*Hide” chew from our local pet store. After eating it, buck started going down hill medically. It started with peeing/ throwing up in the house, could not hold any food down and then later completely refused to eat anything. 3 days go by and it’s time to take him to the emergency vet. He has since been under the close eye of our wonderful local vet ER. Buck is a critical member of our family. With a 2 month year old baby brother, 4.5 yr old sister, and his pup sister. He is your typical lab where he is loving, caring and very affectionate, until someone’s grabs a toy! Instincts take over and he goes into retriever mode until it’s time to rest. With two dogs, a 4.5 year old and a 2 moth year old, we were already stretched pretty thing as it was. Both parents are active duty Air Force. We are getting unfortunately close to having to make the tough decision to not keep him in urgent care just because of money.

Bella is a 1.5 year old French Bulldog in Pueblo west, CO, who needs $2,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

Pueblo west, CO

I got Bella when she was 12 weeks old I've always wanted a frenchie but with their price tag didn't think I would have the money to get one...when I found her my heart melted she has been attached to my side ever since, she goes everywhere wity me! Bella recently licked sone fungasol off of my other dogs paws and it contains tea tree oil, after I had put the fubgasol on my other dogs paws I wrapped his paws in bandages and he was in a separate room than my frenchie. I ran to the store and when I had came back my son had let them outside to go potty and when I got home they had gotten the bandages off and my frenchie was licking his paws! She bosses my 90 lb bully all the time, she's definitely the alpha and he let's her be the boss, she's spoiled rotten and she is the light of my life. I had taken ap leave of absence to take care of my bed ridden mother for 6 months and upon returning for work I was working for a solar company for 3 months that never paid me a dime I lost my storage unit with all mine and my son's belongings, and car has broken down.

Mischief

Mischief is a 8-year-old Black Shorthair Cat in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Surgery.

Colorado Springs, CO

Mischief was rescued along with his brother Mayhem when they were just 4 weeks old and have been my best friends for the past 8+ years. Everyone who has ever met them are blown away by how friendly, well behaved, and great listeners they both are. I love them with all I have and will do anything for them. Mischief has grown into his name and and is always wanting to be the center of attention and just be around others. Mischief lives in a pet parent home with is twin brother Mayhem, little cat sister Bandit, and his big little sister Auggie the doggie. They all love to play and just be together and we often find them all snuggled together. Mischief is a special cat as he loves being around his family and will come along with you wherever you are in the house and he is one of the rare cats that will come to his name when called and love to talk back when you talk to him. Everyone who has ever met him will tell you that he is not like any other cat they have ever met. Mischief got outside today and came home with a stick impaled in his left side exiting through the right. Once at the emergency pet hospital, the Dr. confirmed the stick went all the way through his left rib, piercing the intestines and exiting his lower right side. Mischief has to have emergency surgery and at least 48-hour ER stay. We will give all our money to make sure he is ok and can come home to us. The ER estimates between $6,000 and $8,000 but keep climbing. But the numbers on the bill mean nothing if we can save our baby.

Astro

Astro is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $1,500 for Perineal Urethrostomy.

Colorado Springs, CO

We got Astro from the humane society at 10 weeks old, along with his best friend Bynx. We also have our dog Charlie who is also now a year old, who he and the cats adore each other. He’s become a very loved pet in our house and gets along with everyone he meets. He is an indoor cat and doesn’t go outside without getting extremely terrified of cars and things haha. Hes a very playful cat and loves to go all through the night, his favorite thing to play with is a laser. He loves to show affection by rubbing his face against ours and sleeping right on our pillows or under our feet, he is the biggest cuddle bug i’ve ever had met. He loves to greet us at the door as soon as we walk in after coming home from a long day. He is an amazing cat who gets along with everyone, he loves being by his brothers side all the time and doesn’t want to be without him, Bynx loves to care for him and bathe him and cuddle up next to him all the time. When he’s not sleeping he’s running around bouncing off walls looking for anything to play with. Last night I noticed he was not acting normal, he was sleeping more than usual and didn’t want affection. We took him to the pet hospital to find out he had a Urinary Tract blockage, they told us we’d have to put him down if we couldn’t unblock him, thankfully the very was able to except what little money we had for a down payment. This was an emergency vet trip and we didn’t have the money for much, his full bill to get the rest of his surgery will cost 2k. It would mean the world if you could donate anything, anything would be of great help to get my best friend the help he needs.

Photo of Falcor

Falcor

Falcor is a 9-year-old Mixed in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $567 for first the full work-up and diagnostics followed by a treatment plan.

Colorado Springs, CO

I am writing this on behalf of my disabled son and his dog, (my “Grand-dog”), Falcor. Falcor was a rescue dog from the Colorado Springs shelter in 2014, when he was estimated to be 2 years old. He was an “owner surrendered” dog. He has been an excellent dog, and has fulfilled his intended purpose of providing emotional support and stability for my son, even though not an official companion animal. My son receives SSDI payments, and is able to work only about 20 hours a week, (due to his disability), at minimum wage, and can barely cover his baseline expenses, even though he just rents a 10x10 room in someone else's home. As his father, I live in another state, am retired, and cannot cover this expense. (I did pay the first vet over $200.) Falcor is great with the other man and his 2 cats. My son receives SSDI payments, and is able to work only about 20 hours a week, (due to his disability), at minimum wage, and can barely cover his baseline expenses, even though he just rents a 10x10 room in someone else's home. He is exhibiting shaking and chest heaving and panting, which comes and goes. We took him to the regular vet, she looked at his heart with their sonogram equipment. She believes there is a valve in the heart that may be torn, or malfunctioning, but recommended we take Falcor to an animal cardiologist. We contacted PetCardia and they charge $576 for a complete work-up. Falcor loves everyone, whether on a walk, or visiting the house, and anywhere and everywhere. He has NEVER even attempted to bite anyone or any other animal. He craves attention and love, and will always "paw request" you to pet him, and snuggles up to my son when relaxing or sleeping. He gets excited when the leash is grabbed, but now we know he needs to be kept calmed as much as possible.

Luna

Luna is a Mix puppy in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $2,000 for Femur Fracture Repair Surgical.

Colorado Springs, CO

As many know Luna came into mine, Mama Coco and Baileys lives on Saturday night, 16 January 2021. She is a puppy from Bailey's same litter whom the previous owners were unable to keep. She had adapted well that same night and was loving all the play time with her fur sisters and cuddling in the bed with all of us. Luna loves to give kisses and cuddle. She has her very own "teddy" ( just like her two sisters) whom she loves to cuddle with. Luna and my mastiff mix, Mama Coco, bonded very quickly and even shared night time cuddles and kisses. Luna has been a huge addition to our fur family with her sweet and gentle nature. I recently purchased a home so that Mama Coco would have a large yard to play in before I adopted the other two puppies. I was not prepared for an extreme emergency in any forms nor financially stable after purchasing a home. I currently work for the Army. Luna decided to jump out of the window on my moving car, the very next day after I picked her up. She suffered a spiral fracture in her left rear femur which required a 5 day hospital stay and surgery to implant a plate, rod and screws. Currently she is requiring 4 rounds of physical therapy and at home care. Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty with Jeremiah Moorer DVM and Brandy Cickocki DVM. Luna has a very gentle nature and is very tender hearted. She loved playing with her sisters, running around the yard (prior to injury) and jumping on the couch to snuggle. She is very smart and already knows commands and is eager to please. Luna is quick to come give kisses and always wagging her tail, she loves getting pets and cuddles.

Capone is a German Shepard that is living as a PTSD aid dog for a Veteran, with a baby. He was shot by a neighbor. There was no livestock involved no menacing behavior. He did not deserve to be shot. The owner is on limited fixed income from disability. 1k was paid the night of, now 3400+ to get the bullet out....please help Capone is a very sweet young German Shepard. He's naturally moved into the role of PTSD support for his Vetran owner. The owner has horrible night terrors and issues with coming home. Capone is gentle with the baby that lives there and the other much older service dog. If he survives he will take the older dog's place as the service dog. The owner is a vetran on dissability. They have very fixed income. The neighbor shot their dog, service dog. Who does that kind of horrible thing to an animal that lives to serve. and a man that served his country. The night it happened Capone was taken to Pueblo Colorado Emergency where the bill was over $1000. The owners maxed out their credit card. The next day they went to Powers Pet Emergency & Specialty (5886 Tutt Blvd, Colo Springs CO 80923) where they gave a $3400+ estimate to remove the bullet and treat the animal. More will be needed. Much more What's not to love about a service animial that gives their soul to secure their humans safety. Capone gave his heart and loyalty to a person that served his country. Capone is also amazingly gentle with the baby in the house. He is very much a needed part of this family for the re-entry of the vetran

My husband and I both serve in the Unites States Army and are stationed at Fort Riley. When we got to Kansas we searched for a large breed dog. We found Blue, my family and I have only had Blue since he was 8 weeks old, and he is only 11 months old. He is more than just a dog he is our family member, and protector. When my husband I got Blue I was about 7 months pregnant and you could tell that Blue knew there was something coming. We have two little girls one is 7 months old and the other is 5 years old. Ever since he came home he has been by my daughters side. He never leaves them even if their sitting on the floor, outside, or going to the bathroom. He has so much personality but he is the sweetest, most well behaved gentle giant you will ever meet.
