Misha Bubbles Armour is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Mooresville, IN, who needs $5,000 for MOP.

Mooresville, IN

We got our precious girl from a friend I’ve had for more than 25 years. We live in a house on 3 acres with our other two fur babies. She is the oldest of our three. We are trying to not only trying help put our girl’s lymphoma go into remission but trying to give her the best longest life possible. We are on our 4th treatment plan however she is doing really great after the first week. Our girls favorite 2 legged person is her dad and 4 legged would be her little sister. She is a great caregiver to her sister. She loves everyone and get so excited to see others. She really loves all of the people at Purdue University Small Animal Hospital. She gets so excited to see them. We have been fighting her cancer for almost a year. We have used two different care credit cards, we’ve had to borrow from my husband retirement twice so far. We are using every dollar to get her treatment and still make sure everything is paid. We love her more than words.

Riley

Riley is a 9 year old Dachshund in Fishers, IN, who needs $4,500 for Laser Lithotripsy.

Fishers, IN

Meet Riley, my 9-year-old long-haired dachshund. For nearly a decade, he has been my constant companion, known for his love of cuddles and squeaky balls. I brought him home from San Francisco and we now live in Indiana. Recently, Riley was diagnosed with bladder stones. To avoid a major invasive surgery, his vet has recommended laser lithotripsy. This procedure uses laser technology to break the stones down safely, but it comes with a high cost that I wasn't prepared for. We are thankful that Purdue University Small Animal Hospital has the technology for this procedure. Riley has that signature dachshund spirit—a mix of stubbornness and incredible sweetness. If there is a sliver of sunlight hitting the floor, you can bet that’s where you’ll find Riley. He is a professional sun-seeker; he’ll spend hours moving from one patch of light to the next, soaking up the warmth and napping the day away. This specialized laser lithotripsy is a major, unexpected expense that simply falls outside of what I can manage alone right now. An emergency of this size is a mountain I can’t climb without a helping hand.

Bear

Bear is a 9 year old Labrador Retriever in Bloomington, IN, who needs $2,000 for Sarcoma Removal Surgery.

Bloomington, IN

I met Bear at the shelter while searching for a PTSD service/therapy dog. He was a living, breathing hug on four legs from the moment we met. We've been inseparable for 8 years now. He was my partner in crime on campus while I worked towards my B.A. He gave me the courage to move the two of us across the country to pursue my dreams. He's supported me through my own cancer diagnosis as well. Bear suddenly developed lumps around his right hock joint on August 21st. His vet performed a fine needle aspirate and confirmed they were malignant sarcomas during an urgent care visit. He was referred to an oncologist at Purdue University's Small Animal Hospital, and his consultation is on September 10th. He urgently needs surgery to remove the tumors around his hock joint. Bear loves to spend his days squirrel and people watching, cuddling with his human, and redecorating the house with beloved toy stuffing. His snores shake the house every night, his endlessly happy tail wags have toppled side tables, and his favorite part of the day is brushing "his teefies" with his chicken toothpaste. Everyone who knows him has said he's the happiest, kindest boy they've met. I'm unable to work due to extensive medical treatment for my own cancer diagnosis and chronic immune disorders. Bear is my everything. He supported me for every surgery and radiation treatment, so now I'm rallying to give my precious boy the care he desperately needs.

Zuko

Zuko is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Colfax, IN, who needs $2,000 for Gastropexy.

Colfax, IN

I rescued Zuko in November of ‘21. He is truly my best friend in dog form. He is also my registered ESA. He sleeps in bed with me every night, he has a stuffed animal that goes to bed with us. He is the goofiest, most loving dog I have ever met. You can see every emotion in his eyes, the way he looks at the people he loves makes you happy even in your saddest moments. He is the light of my life. Zuko got admitted to emergency care with GDV. His stomach was incredibly inflated and flipped. They had to call in every on call emergency care provider they had, radiology, ultrasound, surgery, CT people.. totaled to $3,000. I am willing to do whatever it takes to save my boy, but I am beyond my limit of financial capability. He is 4 years old, and I can’t imagine life without my little man. Zuko has a biological brother at home, Bodhi.. we found him after doing a DNA test on Zuko to try to figure out what breed he was. We met Bodhi at the shelter he was in, and they fell in love with each other. They are best friends, inseparable. Zuko loves everyone he meets, he shows it by bringing his favorite toy lobster to you. The person one he will share lobster with is Bodhi. I was laid off my job earlier last week and had to go to the hospital with stress cardiomyopathy after suffering a miscarriage along with other complications. Zuko has been my rock through everything in my life, but especially through these recent life events.

Ernie

Ernie is a 3 year old French Bulldog in Berwyn, IL, who needs $1,996 for Spinal Surgery.

Berwyn, IL

I adopted Ernie from Dog Rescues R Us North about 1 year ago and she currently lives with me and her 2 dog sisters in my single family home in Berwyn Illinois. Ernie suffered a disc injury and has lost the use of her back legs which can hopefully be repaired with emergency surgery performed at the Small Animal Hospital at Purdue University. Ernie is such a sweet fun loving frenchie that loves to play with her two dog sisters Mahna and Ludo. She loves to hop around the yard and rough house with our bulldog mix Mahna. I am currently not eligible for a credit line due to being in a debt relief program. If she is unable to receive this surgery she will no longer be able to use her back legs and enjoy life to the fullest.

Goose

Goose is a 6 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in South Bend, IN, who needs $2,000 for Cancer Treatment.

South Bend, IN

I've been a volunteer at South Bend Animal Resource Center for about three and a half years now. Goose was one of the first dogs I worked with. He was adopted by a family one Monday afternoon. They brought him back five days later. On the fifth day they had him, they went out to eat and left him at home by himself. Goose destroyed their living room. I was furious at their stupidity and adopted him At a routine check-up, we discovered Goose has a tumor on his gums. The tumor turned out to be cancerous. He's been back at he vet several times, running up quite a bill. Tomorrow, Goose will go to the Purdue University School of Veterinary Science for treatment The expected cost can easily run up to twenty-three hundred dollars. Goose lives with my and my other two dogs, Ruby and Buddy. Buddy and Goose play together. Goose also likes to go for walks around our neighborhood. Some of my neighbors love Goose almost as much as I do! I'm retired. I get Social Security and a small pension each month. The cost of all this care will cost more than a month's income. I can't afford that. Goose and the other dogs are often the only company I have for days. They are, in many ways, my best friends.

Rooster

Rooster is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in bloomington, IN, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.

bloomington, IN

Rooster has been with me since he was 12 weeks old. He got his name because as a puppy his barks sounded like a rooster in the morning. We instantly connected and I knew he was meant to be my dog. Rooster recently slipped on ice during the cold weather and tore his ACL. Due to the fact he is a three legged dog he has to have a surgery called a TPLO at Purdue. Rooster likes to chew on bones. He always wants to play and cuddle with his friends. He loves wearing clothes, sweatshirts, and t shirts. He will do anything for food. I recently graduated college. I didn’t have an emergency fund saved up yet. This surgery is pretty expensive and all I want is for Rooster to be healthy again so he can go back to playing with his friends.

Sirius

Sirius is a 7-year-old Labrador/Mastiff Mix in Cedar Lake, IN, who needs $2,000 for Endoscopy and Colonoscopy.

Cedar Lake, IN

We rescued Sirius when he was a 14 months old. We had the wonderful experience of connecting with his original family on the day we adopted him. The Mom even sent us his puppy pictures. They trained him so well! He is 100% good boy! They had to surrender him due to a difficult situation they were going through. We renamed him Sirius Black (Harry Potter). 😊 Sirius LOVES to go swimming! We live walking distance from a lake! He visits his doggie friend, Buddy; who lives lakeside. Sirius will run off their dock and fetch his ball in the water! If we don't have his ball, he will hop in the water, swim until he's tired, get to where he can touch & then repeat! During his adventure, he barks and bites at the waves! 😀 The kids in our community love him! Our dog loves to play "musical sofas", chase his toys in the house and leap on the bed with them! He is not a snuggler, and tolerates it when we snuggle him 😀. He loves car rides! When he gets dirty, all we have to do when we get inside is say "bathtub" and he immediately goes there & hops in! He loves to sing with me (Phil). He is so cute! He follows us around like our shadow! ❤ Sirius suddenly stopped eating and drinking one day. We have been trying everything to get him to eat. He dropped from 96 pounds to 61 pounds. He has been seen by our veterinarian, Dr. Jeremiah Bieszczak with Hanover Animal Hospital, Med Vet Chicago and he is now at Purdue. It has been a long road trying to figure out what is causing the GI issues he has been experiencing. Financially, the bills have added up quickly as we have tried to get a diagnosis. While at Purdue, Sirius is having his 3rd ultrasound as well as undergoing a endoscopy & colonoscopy. We do not have pet insurance. We were unable to have kids. He is our boy! Our fur-son!
