Kenai
Kenai is a 5 year old Poodle in Sherman Oaks, CA, who needs $2,000 for Pancreatic and Digestive Treatment.
Sherman Oaks, CA
Hello! We adopted these beautiful bonded pair less than a month ago from the West Valley Shelter. We named them Koda and Kenai from the movie "Brother Bear". This adoption is special because we lost our family pet two years ago and Kenai looks like the reincarnation of her! My daughter to the lost harder than the rest of us by still going through depressed grief. So this adoption was a blessing! We like many families adopted with not know the medical conditions of our pet kids from a rescue. We had to deal with Kenai being diagnosed with pancreatitis and parasites and Koda with digestive issues that have cost us over $1100. We need support on getting them better from whatever they experienced before that lead to their poor health conditions we had no idea they had. This bonded pair are the sweetest souls you can tell that had some trauma with loud noises and lack of confidence around other dogs. They are skittish, but gives the best hugs and kisses. It makes giving them the best even more of our goals. We are on a fixed income and did not expect from the emergency health issues right out of the gate with our fur babies. We need financial support to go directly to the vet hospital to get them what they need to get better, so that we can keep them happy.

CHAI
CHAI is a 3-year-old Calico/Siamese in Pacoima, CA, who needs $1,074 for bladder obstruction.
pacoima, CA
Chai was originally going to be named Chives but Chives are the total opposite of Chai, he is as sweet, comforting and makes us as happy as a nice cup of warm tea. He was found on a sidewalk and signs were put up but no one claimed him. We were secretly happy and that's been his story for the last few years. He is my youngest daughter's best friend and it's her sibling because her sisters are much older. Everyone who meets Chai falls in love. When we found him it was love at first hold, he is so easy to love. My youngest sister is very attached to Chai boy as she has no one else to play with. Between her and her 2 oldest sisters, there is a 17-year difference. I am a single mother with two dependents, including my 9-year-old daughter and an older daughter who is physically disabled. I was declined care credit and had to rely on 1 daughter who maxed her credit and debit cards at Access. He's now at Rainbow Vet hospital. This is the 2nd round of treatment after 5-day hospitalization less than 48 hours ago. He originally had an emergency bladder obstruction but could not receive surgery as he was not stable. He is now being seen at a different hospital. He was at Access Animal Specialty Hospital in San Fernando valley. He is now at Rainbow Veterinary Hospital to be stabilized. "Chai boy" is dearly loved and was rescued from the street when was 1. He chose us and means the world to my family. He is the sweetest, loving boy. He nudges at us constantly for attention and love. He's 19 lbs and still desires to be carried around the house. He never misses family dinners nor talks around the dining table... We'd like to think it's because he wants to be with us 24/7.
