Koda

Koda is a 13 year old Mix-Breed in Chattanooga, TN, who needs $1,100 for Ear Infection & Dental Surgery.

Chattanooga, TN

I adopted Koda from a PetSmart adoption event over 12 years ago when he was a foster kitten. He’s been my best friend and companion through thick and thin. Thanks to the donations from my first fundraiser, Koda made it to his 13th birthday, and I'm forever grateful for the support we've received. Koda started eating on his own the week before his April 10th appointment. It took time to get him to the vet due to delays in communication. At Shallowford Animal Hospital, he received an ear cleaning, Oti-pack-E, clindamycin, and Animax ointment. The Oti-pack-E cleared his ear, Animax healed his abscess, and the vet confirmed both ear infection and dental issues. Koda is a mischievous, constant companion who loves cuddling, playing, and trying to sneak out of the house—no matter how old he gets! Despite his senior age, he still has kitten-like energy. He tries to maintain his dignity by cleaning himself, even dipping his face in water I give him. But due to his dental condition, he ends up smelling bad, so I bathe him—though he doesn’t like it, he tolerate I've been unemployed since October and struggling to cover even basic expenses while looking for full-time work. I had a job interview last week but nothing is certain. I’ve applied for grants and tried monthly payments, but with no unemployment support, I’m running on empty

Koda

Koda is a 12 year old Mix-Breed in Chattanooga, TN, who needs $300 for Depo-Medrol and Convenia Injections.

Chattanooga, TN

I adopted Koda 12 years ago from a PetSmart adoption event when he was a foster kitten. I really wanted to to get his sister as well but due to an issue with ear mites and having an accident right after bringing him home, I wasn't allowed that by my mom. He's my best friend and a father figure to many of my own fosters, and deeply bonded with my other cat Cho. I just want to help him so much. Koda has a severe ear infection with mites that I've been trying to treat for a year. I've taken him to emergency care when it got bad causing vertigo and his left eye to shut. I've done everything I can, even while working, but affording treatment has been hard. I knew it was a problem, but I didn't know about the mites until keeping his ear clean became difficult and I found a vet I could afford Koda is my shadow, my little troublemaker, and my best friend. He's talkative, mischievous, and acts more like a dog-he loves car rides, walks and food (even if he won't eat it). He fusses when I'm gone too long and isn't afraid of anything except me not being here. He's lost his spark from being so sick, but with care, he lights up again like the kitten he once was. I lost my job in October 2024 and have been struggling to cover basic needs. I've gotten some help locally to keep food for the cats, but the vet care for Koda has been difficult even with a low-income clinic. His healh has been declining and I just want him to be okay.

Chattanooga, TN

Zoey was adopted at Mckamey animal shelter in Chattanooga Tn when she was only 6 weeks old. Zoey currently lives with her owner Bri Smith. Zoey is a very happy energetic dog when she is feeling well and loves people, other animals and going for long walks in the park. Although Zoey is very people and animal orient she is also very shy and timid at times when it comes to strangers but is a sweetie. Zoey has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and requires extensive treatment of insulin to control her glucose levels. Zoey’s medication is very high priced along with her regular vet visits. Zoey is currently under the care of doctor Hamilton at Shallowford Animal Hospital in Chattanooga Tn who is a very concerned and understanding veterinary. She is educating me on Zoey’s condition it more. Zoey is special to me because she is a very loving and loyal dog. She makes me happy everyday just by seeing her here. When Zoey feels good she is a very happy, energetic, smart dog and loves spending time with me. My financial situation is that I do t make a lot of money and my rent has went up sky high making it hard for me to afford Zoey care. It would me the world to me to have Zoey back on a healthy path so she can have a good quality of life and show her sweet spirit again.
