SourPatch
Help SourPatch get Surgery on his eyeball — UT
UT
SourPatch was a rescue. He definitely has the biggest personality. When his happy feet start dancing, you can tell he's just the happiest boy ever. He loves to love, chase wild bunnies, and he lives to ride in his car. He's a firm believer in telling you how he feels and what he thinks. In pursuit of a wild bunny in the rain, he misstepped and face-planted into a cactus. He has so many cactus needles in his paws, face, and in his eyes, too. The 1st vet I took him to basically said he needs a specialist (nearest being 3 hours away) and shooed us out the door. The 2nd, Lava Rock Animal Hospital is able to remove the spine piercing his left eyeball, and others while he's sedated. My boy, SourPatch, came to me as a rescue when orphaned at about 4 days old. I took him and his sister in so they had a decent chance of surviving. Bottle feeding him from that young has ensured our strong bond. He also had gotten sick when 2 months old, to the point I was sure I was going to lose him, but miraculously recovered. He means the world to me. I feel failing him now due to lack of funds just isn't an option. We live in a very rural area, nearest town to get help about 45 mins away. I've been my mother's caregiver for about 3 years after her dementia diagnosis, leaving no time for employment.

Snowball
Help Snowball get Exam and bloodwork — Hurricane, UT
Hurricane, UT
Snowball and he sister BJ were rescued back in 2019. She has been my loyal companion ever since never once leaving my side. She has been there with me through one of the hardest times in my life and has always given the most love she can. She loves to be in charge but also loves her fur sisters and even my friends fur babies. She has allergies and usually has a runny nose and struggles with her breathing. She now has some type of either infection or trauma that has happened to her head and her forehead and eye is extremely swollen. I am trying to get her the help from the vet however because of recent financial struggles we are unable to afford the exam fee or blood work. Snowball is everyone's best friend. She is the most cuddly and friendly cat I have ever met. She loves her people and her fur friends so much. She has a sister who is her best friend and a few dogs who she has taken in like family. She has been a mom more than a couple times and she is the best caretaker to anyone who needs it. She had recently had to say goodbye to her dog sister back in February and has been very sad ever since. She has pretty severe allergies and cross eyed eyes but despite not feeling her best she pushes through and loves everyone while struggling she is the strongest kitty I have ever known. Snowball has very severe allergies and after a recent move to southern Utah her health has declined rapidly. Currently she is struggling with discharge from her nose and eyes and her forehead is also now starting to swell. she needs immediate help to get a diagnosis and figure out medications or surgery to help her. We have been struggling to find reliable income after we were kicked out of our home and forced to move to a new place with help from my mother and step father however because the employer we found here has without months of our pay we are unable to afford the vet costs to get her the diagnosis and medication that she desperately needs.

Gizmo
Help Gizmo get Perineal Hernia Repair — Saint George, UT
Saint George, UT
Gizmo is my 12-year-old male Yorkshire Terrier, and my very best friend. He has the unique ability of cheering me up when I'm down and no one else can. Since the day I took him home, we've been inseparable. He goes literally everywhere with me. Even to bed where we sleep back to back, every single night. Gizmo came into my life eleven years ago when my late mother adopted him only two short weeks prior to being diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and wanting me to care for him where she no longer could. Since then, he has been my anchor and the only constant during the most difficult decade of my life and I will do anything for him. Gizmo has developed severe bilateral perineal hernias. Initially, he only suffered from one, but after two previous surgeries that didn't address the root cause, a second hernia along with a rectal bulge jave developed. He is now under the care of a trusted specialist at Solace Veterinary Specialty Center in St. George, UT. Dr. Andrews has provided a definitive surgical estimate of $6,061.00 for the advanced, corrective bilateral repair surgery he desperately needs. Without this procedure, Gizmo's organs will slide through the hernia, cut off his blood circulation and kill him. Gizmo is more than just a pet; he is my best friend and my last living connection to my late mother. I can't imagaine my life without him. He still has so much life to live. He relies on me to protect him, and so did my mother. His recovery matters more than I can describe. He has fought so hard beside me and it's my turn to fight for him. I am the only owner of Gizmo and soley responsible for his care. I am currently unemployed, have no personal income, and receive Medicaid and SNAP benefits. Because of this, I don't qualify for independent veterinary financing. A third party helped secure a Cherry loan for the first two surgeries, and are still actively paying roughly $600 a month for those procedures in addition to an additional $200 for an emergency hospital visit in between the two surgeries. This surgery is entirely different from the first two. Gizmo only had one hernia during those first two incidents. Those previous surgeries did not address the true root cause and unfortunately caused him to develop a second hernia on the other side. This third procedure is exactly the surgery he needs to fix the issue. I am navigating all of this completely on my own. Thank you for your compassion and consideration.

Leo
Leo is a 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Logandale , NV, who needs $2,500 for Bilateral Patellar Luxation.
Logandale, NV
Leo was brought home with purpose — to help my best friend's son, who is on the autism spectrum, overcome his fear of dogs. It worked beautifully. He was also a companion for my other dog, Zoe. What nobody expected was how deeply Leo would wiggle his way into everyone's hearts. Every single person who meets him falls in love instantly. 🐾 Leo has been diagnosed with bilateral patellar luxation and possible ACL damage, with concern for irregular femur or tibia formation. The full extent won't be known until surgery. The condition has been causing him significant discomfort and requires prompt intervention to prevent further damage to surrounding ligaments and cartilage. Leo is a tiny, spunky, fun-loving guy who lives for his frisbee, his toys, hiking and especially kids. He's always up for an adventure and has the sweetest soul to match his giant energy. Leo is a little ball of chaos who has absolutely no idea how small he is. He is pure joy in the tiniest package — an absolute little nugget who steals everyone's heart the moment they meet him. 🐾 Leo's condition requires a specialist, making surgery costly. I was recently laid off and while I have the time to care for him through recovery, the financial piece has been a challenge. Seeing him pain-free and back to chasing his frisbee would mean everything.
