Magneto
Magneto is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Virginia Beach, VA, who needs $2,000 for Brain MRI.
Virginia Beach, VA
In spring 2014 a local Italian woman's cat wandered away, returning with a litter of kittens. She was unable to care for them and in the box one kitten stood out among the rest, It was love at first sight. My husband, decided to name him Magneto, a name that seemed fitting for a little creature with both mischievous and loving qualities. From that moment on, Magneto became a member of our family. Maggo has lost his hearing and more recently developed some balance issues. After a trip to our vet we were referred to SEVN as something more sinister seemed to be at play. After our initial visit we were told his loss of balance among other serious symptoms points to a defect in his brain most likely a tumor or an infection. He now requires an MRI of his brain so he may be diagnosed and treated. Maggo was our emotional support during the loss of my first dog, who took it upon herself to train him as a kitten. Thus Maggo has inherited many dog-like traits which shape his unique personality. Fast forward, and Maggo has become my son's best friend, they spend every minute together. His presence is a reminder of the joy and love that pets bring into our lives, making each day brighter. We always have an pet emergency fund, but the near $6000 for his MRI and unknown treatment cost is more than we had planned for. Our upcoming move and our recent auto/ home loan leaves us in a tight financial spot. Please help our sweet boy with his imaging and treatment.

Lucy
Lucy is a 3 year old French Bulldog in Virginia Beach, VA, who needs $2,000 for MRI/CT Scan.
Virginia Beach, VA
We adopted Lucy in 2021, and have been in love with her since. The kids and I immediately bonded with her and her spunky personality. She is the only dog we have, but she isn't just a dog to us, she is an important part of our family, it is like having a fourth child. Lucy is currently being treated/monitored by Southeast Veterinary Neurology for intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). As of 8/13/2024 she is on pain medication for life, at the young age of 3, it is either that our surgery. It is hard to see her in pain because even on the pain medication she is having a hard time having a good quality of life. The next step would be surgery, before this progresses Lucy is amazing, she not only wants to be close with us everywhere we go but pre injury she slept with my son nightly in bed. Lucy loves to cuddle in your arms, lick you in the face, and play soccer with us outback [pre injury]. She is a spunky ball of energy who fits right into our family, we do everything with her; movies, board games, fires outback, she's always there with us. I am currently going through a drawn out divorce, and working full-time and going to school full-time, I can't raise these funds on my own. Since June 2024, her care has been at least $1,000. It would mean the world to not only me but my kids to see her healthy again

Ramses
Ramses is a 8 month old Basenji in Virginia Beach, VA, who needs $2,000 for MRI and Surgery.
Virginia Beach, VA
Ramses came into my life after I suffered the loss of my girl Jackie, 12.5 years old miniature pinscher who was battling cancer. I traveled all the way to Texas from Virginia to pick him up and he has been nothing but joy in my life. Ramses has been in excellent health from the day he entered my life until recently when he unexpectedly started crying and yelping from pain. After visits to urgent care, emergency clinic, and consultation with his regular vet we were sent to see a neurologist. He needed urgent surgery to fix his neck disc that was causing the pain. Ramses is the sweetest loving puppy that anyone can dream of. He is extremely smart, playful, and adorable. He loves cuddling, giving kisses, and go for long beach walks where he can meet and play with other puppies. The MRI and the surgery expense came very unexpected and the cost was much grater than I am able to afford and was prepared for. I am still struggling paying off the vet bills from February when I lost my girl. It has been very difficult and heavy year for me so far.

Abby
Abby is a 2-month-old Great Pyrenese/ Poodle in Virginia Beach, VA, who needs $2,000 for MRI and Spinal Tap.
Virginia Beach, VA
I got Abby from a "reputable breeder" on October 14, 2023. As soon as I saw her itty bitty face, I knew she was the one. There was this aura around her that told me she was meant for our family. We are a family of 4 with two young kids (4, 6) and one other dog with whom Abby loves (he's perfectly healthy!). Her second day home she had her first seizure and has had 12 others since. Abby is the biggest princess in the world and because of her current condition she cannot be left alone. There's always an adult around her to make sure she's safe and to administer her rescue medicine if any seizures occur. She sleeps in bed with us and goes everywhere we do. My son, he's 4, loves Abby so much. He wants nothing to do with our other dog, but Abby? He's all over this girl with love Because we have only had Abby for two weeks, there's still so much to learn about her! And she's still so young that she's growing into her personality. I can say for sure that she loves to play! Sometimes I even call her Vanilla Spice because she can get spicy and loud while romping around. And don't ever leave a full water bowl in sight! She will splash and play in it all day long! Abby has been experiencing seizures very frequently and needs to have an MRI and Spinal Tap done to see if there are any underlying issues or if she has juvenile epilepsy. We've done all of the cheaper bloodwork and testing and they've all come back normal for her age. She's barely responding to the anti-seizure medication and is being seen at SouthEastern Veterinary Neurolugy by Dr. DiVita. We are a one-income family with two small children as well. Doing these costly procedures is extremely out of our budget. Abby is only a baby and deserves a real shot at life. The MRI is between $4300-$5700 and the Spinal Tap is $1000-$1200.
