Willow

Willow is a 5 year old German Shepherd Dog in Hazel Green, AL, who needs $2,000 for Diagnostics, Scans and Exams.

Hazel Green, AL

How I got my sweet Willow. My Willow was a one pup litter. She was a huge pup that I had to help be born and from that moment I knew she was my baby. She was a gift from God to give us love and kisses. My sweet Willow has been sick for three days now. She is a very active dog and I noticed three days ago she was not getting up or moving around like normal. She has a large mass on her left side that came up and she is hurting and urinating on herself. She will eat some but not much. I need help to raise funds to have her seen by a vet. Willow is the class clown and loves everyone. We have had her since she was born and we love her more than words can say.She loves playing fetch with my kids and loves head rubs and belly scratches. She means the world to us.We are so scared to lose her. I have had two surgeries back to back which forced me to take leave without pay.All financial needs were placed on my husband and now we are trying to catch up.He works 7days a week to provide food and a home for us.

Luke

Luke is a 4 year old German Shepherd Dog in Harvest, AL, who needs $1,656 for Heartworm Treatment.

Harvest, AL

Following the passing of my last dog, Baron, many moons ago I had settled with the idea of just having a 3 cat household. Along came Luke. One morning while driving my daughter to school there was a German Shepherd mix running along the side of the road without a collar. I convinced him to hop in with a sandwich and have had him just over a year. I had him picked up by the shelter because I didn't know how he would do with my kids and cats. I kept tabs on him. Within 3 days and no claim by previous owners I adopted him. They said he was heartworm negative and neutered. Turned out to not be neutered. He has been on heartworm prevention since I have had him. Yearly exam showed he was now positive. He is such a gentleman, great on walks, checked all the boxes! I’m pretty sure he’s mixed with a Husky so I lovingly refer to him as my Giberian Shepsky! He's 100% imprinted on me, but when I'm gone he settles for hanging around my daughter following her everywhere. He often sits with his front paws crossed, too! He's learned directional commands such as left, right, straight, and turn! I am a single mother of 2 kids; one of which will be entering college Fall 2026. My daughter was born with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum and requires some special needs. I work nightshift at my local hospital as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.

Photo of Skyler

Skyler

Skyler is a 12 year old American Shorthair in Athens, AL, who needs $650 for Abdominal Ultrasound, Medication & Follow-up Care.

Athens, AL

Skyler has been with us since the day she was born. Her mother was a rescue, and from the moment Skyler came into this world, I knew she was meant to stay with me. She has always been a sweet, gentle soul with a quiet strength that makes her very special.Over the years, she has been my shadow—always nearby, offering comfort and companionship through life’s ups and downs. Recently, Skyler’s health has declined. She has lost a dramatic amount of weight despite her increased appetite, and she cries out in pain after meals. She has also stopped grooming herself, which tells me just how uncomfortable she must be. Dr. Jessica Tully at Southpaw Animal Clinic in Madison, Alabama, has ruled out parasites and thyroid issues. The next step is an abdominal ultrasound. Skyler has always had a quiet magic about her. She doesn’t clamor for attention, but she makes her presence known in the softest ways. She greets me with gentle head bumps, curls up nearby while I work, and follows me from room to room. She has a way of knowing when I’m upset—she’ll press her forehead against me as if she’s reminding me that I’m not alone. Her favorite pastime is birdwatching. Skyler is my once-in-a-lifetime companion. She’s in so much pain, and because I was laid off and my husband's COPD prevents him from working, we can’t afford the treatment.Your support will make a direct impact on Skyler’s life so she can feel comfortable and cherished.

Peanut

Peanut is a 12 year old American Shorthair in Athens, AL, who needs $1,000 for Congenital Heart Disease Ongoing Care & Medication.

Athens, AL

Peanut has been a very important part of my life since the moment he was born.He grew into a gentle, affectionate cat who has always loved being near people. Peanut is the kind of cat who makes every guest feel welcome—he’ll jump up beside them or roll over to show his belly. He has been by my side for 12 years, offering companionship, laughter, and comfort through life’s hardest moments. Peanut was diagnosed with congenital heart disease, a condition he has lived with for many years that requires ongoing care to monitor his condition and determine whether his medications need to be adjusted. This ongoing care is critical to managing his heart disease and giving him the best quality of life possible. He's under the care of Dr. Jessica Tully at Southpaw Animal Clinic in Madison, AL. Peanut has one of the warmest, most affectionate personalities I’ve ever known in a cat. He loves attention and never misses a chance to curl up in my lap or gently nudge my hand for more pets.He also has a playful side—he loves chasing toys, batting at strings, and even tries to “help” me with chores by following me everywhere.Despite his condition,he has never allowed it to get the better of him This year has been challenging for my family, with both Peanut and his sister Skyler both needing veterinary care at the same time, it has stretched us beyond our limits. We’ve depleted our savings.Your support will give him the chance to keep fighting and get the needed care.
