Tofu
Tofu is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Bethesda, MD, who needs $1,000 for Surgery to Remove Foreign Object.
Bethesda, MD
Tofu is my 8-year-old pit/lab mix and a beloved part of our family. He has been vomiting for days, has low energy, and needs urgent vet care I cannot currently afford. He is deeply loved by me and my children, and I’m asking for help to get him evaluated and treated. Any support or share of Tofu’s story means the world to us. Tofu has been vomiting for several days, has low energy, reduced appetite, and is not acting like himself. His symptoms have me very concerned that he needs prompt veterinary evaluation to determine the cause and receive treatment. I am seeking help to get him seen at Spay Now. Tofu is normally healthy, loving, and full of life, so this sudden change has been frightening and I’m doing everything Tofu is truly part of our family. He’s an 8-year-old pit/lab mix who is loving, loyal, and always close to us. He follows us from room to room, greets us with excitement, and loves being involved in everything we do. He’s gentle with my kids, very affectionate, and has a comforting presence that makes our home feel complete. We weren’t expecting Tofu to have a medical emergency and we are unprepared for the cost of urgent vet care. Getting help would mean everything—having him healthy again and back home with us where he belongs.

Xiaohu
Xiaohu is a 1 year old American Shorthair in baltimore, MD, who needs $1,000 for Right Hind Limb Amputation.
baltimore, MD
Xiaohu came into my life through pure fate. A friend met his previous family in a park just one day before they planned to surrender him to a shelter. I couldn't let that happen and took him home immediately. Since then, he has been my constant study companion, purring by my side during late nights. He is a brave survivor who chose me, and now I choose not to let him go. On April 4, 2026, my 1-year-old cat Xiaohu survived a tragic three-story fall. He was rushed to VEG Pikesville, where Dr. Lucie Henein and the team performed emergency surgery to drain air from his chest (pneumothorax) and stabilize his bruised lungs. While his breathing is now stable, he suffered a severe, displaced open comminuted fracture of his right hind leg. Xiaohu is more than just a pet; he is my constant companion and the soul of our home. Only one year old, this brave American Shorthair is known for his curiosity and "talking" to me whenever I’m studying for graduate school. He is incredibly affectionate, always sensing when I’ve had a stressful day and offering a gentle purr in response. As a graduate student, I have already exhausted my entire savings and used credit to pay the $3,879.94 emergency stabilization bill at the ER. I have done everything in my power to save his life, but I cannot afford this final essential surgery on my own.

Roca
Roca is a 1 month old Mix-Breed in Silver Spring , MD, who needs $2,000 for Leg Amputation.
Silver Spring, MD
Roca was born at home 12 days ago. His mother, Toca, is with me and she’s the one feeding him. Since birth, Roca has had a serious injury to his leg caused by an umbilical cord that wrapped tightly around it. We are caring for him with all the love we can to give him a chance to survive. Roca was born with a severe leg injury caused by an umbilical cord wrapped tightly around it, cutting off circulation. The limb is necrotic, and veterinarians believe urgent amputation is needed to save his life. We have not yet been able to afford the treatment. Roca has been a fighter since birth. Despite his pain, he seeks his mother’s warmth and keeps holding on to life. To me, he represents hope and love. I don’t want to give up on him. I’ll do everything I can to give him a chance to live. His life matters deeply to me I don’t have enough income to afford Roca’s surgery. I come from a low-income background, and this urgent medical expense caught me by surprise. I have no emergency fund, and any help received will be vital for his survival.

Frankie
Frankie is a 10 year old Maine Coon in Lebanon, PA, who needs $675 for Open Pyometra Spay.
Lebanon, PA
Frankie is integral to my life. I was recently homeless while applying for disability, which finally came through. At that time I had Frankie certified as my emotional support animal. Frankie offers support and care in more ways than I can portray. She knows when I get upset or when I’m anxious or nervous, or angry. Frankie provides support to me with pressure therapy, she keeps me grounded. Recently I thought Frankie was pregnant although she has a 10 year-old female. It turns out she’s not, she started spotting a couple days ago, bleeding out her private area, and last night it got to the point where it was 2 to 3 tablespoons of blood. She has what is known as open pyrometra. She has an infection in her uterus and without emergency surgery to have her uterus removed she will die. Frankie has a brother and a sister her brother‘s name is Gizzy and her sister‘s name is Lily. Frankie loves to play with the Dot, the laser. She loves her cat tree, she loves dogs. She’s not afraid of anything and she’s so friendly, she’s a little Miss prissy. She never complains, it is her and I together in the world. She makes me smile no matter how bad I’m feeling. I can’t imagine losing her. I have had a run of bad luck over the last two years I was caretaker I lost my job I lost my apartment I’ve lived in a tent. I managed to keep my pets with me and provide for them. Because they are everything that I have. I just want her healthy again. I need her!

My 15-year-old son has special bond with Bella. My children are neurotypical. Bella helps with empathy and teaching responsibility. Bella is very playful, She loves to sit in the windowsills. Bella got outside and was attacked by a dog. Her eye was injured beyond repair and as a result we rushed her to VEG in Pikesville, Md. We were informed that she would need an eye removal surgery called Enucleation. costing upwards $2000, we then found Spay now in laurel that will only cost $500. Her surgery is Thur 6/27/24. We spent all funds we had on her diagnostic visit and pain meds. Bella is very playful she loves to ride in my daughter's doll stroller. She also is always on the top bunk in the girl's room. when they get home from school. My son suffers from major depression, and she gives him something to look forward to. I'm honestly very concerned about his emotional state with all that's going on. The kids' father is in a coma in the ICU as we speak, he was in a bad car accicent 6/20/24 he has not yet awakened. This has been so traumatic for all of us especially my youngest daughter Blake whose birthday is on this Thursday, the day of Bella's surgery. Please help!
