Major
Major is a 1-year-old Rottweiler in Shirley, NY, who needs $1,500 for TPLO surgery.
Shirley, NY
Major was a gift to our family last year. We bought him from a breeder in Wisconsin and have been in love with him ever since. He instantly became a part of the family and we enjoy his playful, energetic spirit. Major has a huge yard to play in and a pool to keep cool in the summer. He enjoys laying on the couch and spending time with the family. Major is an energetic Rottweiler who loves to have his belly rubbed. He enjoys playing in our large backyard with his toys. He is great with people and even though he may look big and intimidating, he is the most lovable dog. As soon as we walk in the door, he jumps up for us to pet and plays with him. Due to Covid-19, I am currently unemployed and unable to incur the cost of the surgery needed for Major. At this time I was only able to pay for the cost of a splint, x-rays, and pain medication. I have contacted the ASPCA and other organizations to find some assistance. Unfortunately, Major broke his hind leg while playing in the yard. He suffers from a tibia and fibula fracture which will require surgery to put a plate in the leg to heal properly. He is only 1 year old and we want him to be an energetic and lovable dog without any defects. He is up to date on all his vaccines and has no other health issues. Our first Rottweiler Max passed away a few years ago and we have missed every day. He was irreplaceable but Major has filled the void in our lives. Whenever you approach him he lies down so you can rub his belly. He loves to get walk into the pool and wade around in the water. He enjoys fetching the ball in the backyard.

We adopted Toby after our pet Baron came down with cancer and he was 14 years old we tried to keep him alive we loved him dearly. His best friend we still have Noah is a adopted Dashound and was heartbreaking to him and us and was depressed so we adopted Toby which he lost his owner and was in a kill facility so we rescue him the foundation gave us a clean bill of health from a veteran but when we adopted him and took him to our vet we have over 20 years we have 3 Dashounds and 1 left they said he had an infection in teeth, and look like he has Cushions disease. Toby started getting sick so we brought him in for tests mind you it just cost us over 5,000 from our lost of Baron. Sonogram on his stomach showed pancreatitis and cushions disease from test and blood work and surgery on infected teeth we put Toby on diet and now he’s on medication for rest of his life $145.00 months. We have charged up the bills and try to pay them but it’s hard my wife got over cancy2 Times and both of us are disabled. Bills for vet and hospital bills for accumulated to over $4,500.00 we contacted Pet finders they said go to the foundation we got him from, we contacted them they said we have no money to help you? They gave us a clean report that was not true 1 week after we got him had all these symptoms that’s why we are reaching out
