Mellie was a gift from her previous owner who could not take her to a rental that didn’t allow pets. She was 1 year old when I got her. She’s so sweet and friendly with people and other dogs. The doctor at St. Louis veterinary said she has a patella laxation which requires surgery. He referred us to OakVet Animal Hospital which gave a $7000 estimate. I’m retired on a fixed income and just can’t afford that and don’t want to put her down. Mellie is so beautiful. She had a little brother Marley who started having seizures and she would sniff and cuddle with him after our hospital visits. When we lost Marley she was so sad it broke my heart. A friend gave us a 7 month old Chihuahua and she loves him. They sleep together. I was laid off from my job of 17 years and found that most people don’t want to hire a 72 year old. I didn’t have much money saved but used most of it trying to save my dog Marley. I just Mellie to run free in the park with Ziggy.

I was petting my neighbors dog and he offered to take me to a breeders place to look at some puppies that would end up in a pound or worse. Rani came to me and put her head on my leg like we have known each other for a long time. She jumps and ran around between my legs in first meeting. We love her with all our heart and we need help, she's currently in surgery and we don't have $4000+ to pay it. She currently have a vaginal prolapse which went from a tiny swell to a full on softball size in just one night. She's currently having surgery at St. Louis Veterenary Clinic in Oakland CA Rani is dear to my 4 yr old daughter who grew up with her when she was 2 yrs old. Rani is a very vibrant and optimistic part of our family, she cuddles around and play with us everyday. My daughter is really sad that she has to go to surgery. We are currently in financial challenged and wasn't expecting a large financial responsibility that will come our way, we don't want to loose our beloved pet and it will break my daughters heart if that happens

Hello we live in Oakland!! We have 4 pets and Coco is our youngest.He has been having quite a few utis back to back.We are struggling especially after covid,and vet bills and cost are killing me, someone here on waggle helped in December with 600 towards his vet bills and now we just got him on pain and antibiotics again and it's helping but not clearing so we have to do more and I can not affor. He is very loving and a huge cuddle bug!!! He is a shoes and feet baby and loves to sleep on shoes ❤️ He sleeps other with his cat brothers or under the covers next to me.He loves to play and hide in boxes He is a true joy to have!! He likes to fart and look at you when it smells like rotten eggs and he takes off with cat zoomies he does this after number two as well he is a huge zommier and proud of his Stinky's!! So since January of 2023 until now he has been in the ER at Greenwell Veterinary of baton rouge for blockage and UTI,then at Oak Vet Specialist in Oakland twice for UTI and crystals, January he had no longer a infection,but February he started peeing less and blood at we too him to St Louis Veterinary in Oakland he is on antibiotics but has to have a blockage cleared I lost my job and insurance for me and let's during covid I have Ms and am just returning back to the work field I can not afford to take him in to St Louis Veterinary in Oakland for a different antibiotic or blockage clearing I just don't know what to do
