Miley

Miley is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Sugarland, TX, who needs $12,000 for Gallbladder Mucocele Surgery.

Sugarland, TX

I rescued adopted Miley from a rescue back in 2016 with her sister. She is currently 10 years old. When I adopted her she was 8 weeks old and fit in the palm of my hand. Miley was diagnosed with gall bladder mucocele that needs surgery as soon as possible. I was told she is in good condition for the surgery. Currently Sugarland Veterinary is charging us from 8,000 to 10,000 give or take for her surgery. Miley is special to us she and hee sister were only 8 weeks old when we adopted them. Unfortunately her sister passed away from the same 2 years ago. She is super sweet and loves smiling and playing with her fur brother and sister. Unfortunately I had to sell my house about 2 years ago and have been trying to get back on our feet. I recently rescued a stray from the street who was heartworm positive that I had to get her treated. Too have a few extra years with our fur baby would be such a blessing

Erza

Erza is a 7 year old American Shorthair in Katy, T

Katy, TX

Hi! This is Erza! He’s an indoor cat, the most loving and patience cat. He’s been by my side for the past 7 years, unfortunately he had a brother who is no longer with us. And wouldn’t like to experience that again with Erza! Erza unfortunately needs to get a surgery done (Laminectomy,Hemi/Dorsal) Which is a very expensive procedure! He has been to the ER twice in less than a week and that is the best solution to keep him healthy. Erza loves to sleep as close as possible to me. Loves to sun bathe. People call him Garfield since he is big guy with a big loving heart. He is just so sweet! We have spent a lot of time and money trying to get to the root of the problem with Erza. This surgery is extremely expensive, and it hurts to see him suffer without getting him the proper help.Having him healthy again means the world to me and to see him pain free.

Toffee

Toffee is a 9-year-old Mix in Houston, TX, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.

Houston, TX • Greenawalds Service

Toffee was rescued from euthanasia at the county shelter in May of 2021. She was a medical case therefore not up for adoption through the shelter. She has been fostering with Greenawalds Service Rescue ever since, having to go through multiple surgeries and extensive bouts of physical rehabilitation. Toffee is the sweetest girl imaginable and loves everyone. She gets along great with other dogs and small children and especially likes it when puppies come around for her to watch over and mother. She would like to play constantly with the other foster dogs and kids but unfortunately, we have to limit her interaction for her safety. She wants to run and jump but is on restricted mobility, Things about Toffee that make me smile and laugh; her thinking she's a lap dog and wanting to just love on everyone makes me smile and what makes me laugh is she is a shy girl and will not go potty if you look at her so even when on assisted walking protocol to potty, I have to turn around, so she knows I'm not looking at her. She likes stuffy toys and treats them as her babies. Initially from the shelter we took her to Cypress Fair Haven vet for a broken wrist that fused backwards. CFH referred us to Sugarland Vet Specialists we took her for consult for her options and before she could get on their schedule for that she blew out her knee on the same side and needed immediate TPLO surgery. Now she has blown out the other knee and needs TPLO surgery on her left knee. This is a sudden unexpected expense and we do not have the funds to get her on the schedule for surgery as it is over $10k. It would mean the world to us and Toffee to get her knee repaired so she can once again jump in laps for cuddles and play with other dogs again.

Our 12-year-old Border collie had just passed due to doggy dementia, I saw a tail go by outside our screen door and there was a big storm outside. lots of wind and rain. I looked out the window but didn't see anything, after a while of watching tv again i saw the tail again, i went outside and there was this itty-bitty kitten in the corner all wet and looking bedraggled. She has 3 others that she shares the house with all rescues from a cat that was killed 2 days after they were born. She is the Matriarch and even they know something isn't right with her gone from the house. Ive never been able to have kids and now at 52 she is my child, that's how she is treated, she is my everything She purrs constantly. She gets a goofy head tilt when i call her name all high pitched. She been prone to UTI all her life but has always gotten thru the treatments. she was overweight and spoiled at 19 pounds in February, we got her on a diet, got more active and then she started losing weigh all the way to 13 pounds. Then all of a sudden, she stopped eating. She lost weight to 11 in like a months' tim and still won' eat, she' at the ER as they found her stomach to be looking odd... Her initial bill for the ER stay over the weekend was 6,000. probably going to be more to find the issue. and its like sticker shock we maxed out our credit cards because that what you do when you love someone. Her life is worth it.

Chester

Chester is a 12-year-old Miniature Schnauzer in Houston , TX, who needs $2,200 for Melanoma .

Houston, TX

Chester is a 12 yr old black mini schnauzer. He has brought so much joy to my life and has undoubtedly made me a better person. He's also been by my side through my hardships and we have shared many happy moments together. The unconditional love he has given me is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life and I will forever cherish every instant by his side. Chester is my little shadow everywhere I go. He loves walks, tummy rubs and treats. He likes to hang out in the kitchen lol and sleeps in my bed close to his brother "oso". He is afraid of thunderstorms and the fire alarm sound. He dislikes brooms, hoses and bath time. But what he loves the most is definitely spending time with his mommy, ME! Low budget due to covid19. Struggling to come with the whole amount of money for Chester's treatment. Any donations are greatly appreciated! Faith makes all things possible and I promise you Chester mommy will be with you every step of the way. THANKS for your donation! Sadly, this year Chester was diagnosed with melanoma which started with a cancerous tumor on his left paw. Although it got removed, cancer has metastasized through the lymph node in that same leg. This sudden cancer has taken me by surprise and at the time I find myself struggling to get all the money to complete ultrasound/lab tests. He's currently treated at Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists. I love seeing him interact and play with other dogs when I take him to the park. He loves chasing cats and squirrels too. He loves broccoli, strawberries and sweet potato. He is very spoiled but hardly licks or gives kisses like his brothers do lol he also snores when he sleeps. Sadly Chester developed a cancerous tumor on his paw, and although it got removed, it metastasized in his leg.

Photo of Freyja

Freyja

Freyja is a 4-year-old Pitbull in Santa Fe, TX, who needs $2,500 for knee surgery, for tibial tuberosity advancement surgery.

Santa Fe, TX

Freyja was born to a breeder who was breeding his pure blood pits to sell, because she was the runt of the litter she was dropped off and poisoned to try to kill her. One of my old bosses found her nursed her back to health but couldn't keep her. So I took her in. She has been a very happy dog getting to play with our other dog shelby, both dogs we've had since they were puppies, Freyja is the biggest sweet heart, she loves to run and play with kids and cuddle with anyone anytime she sees the opportunity to do so. She normally gets to play outside in the mornings before i leave then i bring both dogs in and come back during my lunch break from work to let them back out. Most of the time thats when ill play with them before i have to go back to work Due to us being kind of blind-sided by this we were not prepared for such a surgery, the vets have told me i'm on the clock to get the surgery done before there will be too much scar tissue to repair it. Basically I don't have time to be able to save up the money So about 2 months ago i noticed she started to have a limp, I didn't worry much at first because shes a very active dog. She continued not putting weight in her left hind legs so my mom took her to the vet for me (Alvin animal clinic) where they told my mom she had a torn ACL and it would cost 4000 to repair, I wanted a second opinion to confirm and so i took her to Safari Clinic and it confirmed Freyja has always been by my side since day one. Everyday when i come home from work she like to do a "little dance" for me and talk to me until i acknowledge her. She loves to run and play outside with her tug rope, but mostly shes a little snuggle bunny. I found out pretty early on that she loves to watch movies and lay on the couch in the A/C rather than deal with Texas heat.
