ODIE

ODIE is a 15 year old Mix-Breed in Summerville, SC, who needs $600 for Oral Surgery.

Summerville, SC

Odie is a 15 year old mix breed my husband rescued from an ac unit fire. He instantly stole our heart with his big green eyes. He is the father like figure all our other rescues. He loves a good snuggle and will turn down a belly rub Odie unfortunely broke his eye tooth and now requires surgery to remove the damaged toot. We are working overtime to cover as much as we can but even a $1 is appreciated more than you can ever imagine. Summerville pet clinic in Summerville is who will be helping with his surgery. Odie is the biggest lover His heart matches his tummy size 😆 he will snuggle a baby chicken or groom a puppy. He knows no enemy to know him is to love him We have a small farm containing many rescues which we all know as wonderful as they can be to save and love they come with costs. The local clinic is helping us as much as possible but it is a permanent tooth so surgery estimate is $600-800

She's does when you run with her or play a game with her shell run around the entire house a couple of times and will come back to you and will run from kisses when you try to kiss her. Her medical situation is she needs dental work, she needs her teeth cleaned and some teeth pulled. The pet clinic is, Summerville pet clinic- Dr Angele Bice. I get a disability once a month unable to afford her dental work that she desperately needs to have her mouth cleaned and her teeth pulled. The care is hard for me to afford.

Zander

Zander is a 4-year-old American Bulldog in Ridgeville , SC, who needs $1,100 for Heartworm Treatment and Neuter.

Ridgeville, SC

Zander was found as a stray right before we were due to get bad storms and flooding end of Sept. No owners were found. He is currently living with my family as the shelters are already overwhelmed. He loves cuddling on the couch or laying close to me in my bed at night. We are working on house training, but he's doing great with everything so far. Zander shares a current home with others dogs ranging in ages of 5 to 17 both large and small breeds. He also doesn't mind horses, donkeys, tortoises and cats. He loves playing with young children. He is a very smart boy that catches on very easily. Zander loves to stretch out on the bed with his belly up to get belly rubs. He knows how to push down the electronic buttons in the car to roll down windows and unlock doors, he thinks he's a puppy at times. Zander is heartworm positive and also needs neutered. I have already gotten his current shots and microchip done along with treatment of ear infection in both ears. His veterinarian is Summerville Pet Clinic. I am a primary caregiver for my disabled spouse who is a navy veteran so I am unable to work outside of the home, as my husband is bedbound on hospice.

Roxy

Roxy is a 10-year-old Pit Bull mix in Ridgeville, SC, who needs $950 for urgent tumor removal.

Ridgeville, SC

Jennifer L. and her husband, a combat veteran, have hearts of gold. They rescue dogs who become their family members and get them medical care. They currently have five seniors they've saved. One of them, Roxy, needs urgent medical attention. "She was seized from previous owners," Jennifer tells Waggle. "She came from a local shelter." Roxy needs tumors on her mammary area and another on the side of her paw removed. "The vet does possibly think it's cancerous on her mammary mass but won't know until the biopsy comes back," Jennifer says. "She also needs a dental done to remove teeth infected at the roots." Jennifer and her husband can't afford Roxy's surgery. "Our only income is VA disability that my husband receives," Jennifer says. "We just spent over $500 on household repairs caused by water damage to flooring and main door. My husband is in a wheelchair, and it had to be repaired as that's the only way he can get out." The poor girl had such a tragic past; all they want is for her to have a healthy and happy future. Can you help them help Roxy?

Angelo

Angelo is a 2-month-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Summerville, SC, who needs $495 for Degloved Jaw Reconstruction Surgery.

Summerville, SC • Dorchester Paws

Angelo came to Dorchester Paws, an animal shelter in Summerville, SC as a stray. He was found in a ditch on the side of the road, in a rural part of our county. He was found by Animal Control. Angelo was covered in maggots, dehydrated, had debris stuck in his coat and had a degloved jaw. This is a lot for any animal, but especially since was only two months old. We do not have any information to share on this at this time since Angelo came in as a stray. We do hope to nurse him back to amazing health as we know he would be a great addition to any home and can't wait for that day for him. We will provide updates as he heals, we just do not have this information to share. Angelo is special because he was found on a side of the road, abandoned and alone. He was in horrible shape and was left to find food and shelter all on his own in this condition. Angelo is a sweet boy and really needs to have a better story. He deserves a victim to victory life and we can't wait for that! Angelo was covered in maggots, dehydrated, had debris stuck in his coat and had a degloved jaw when he came in. He is being treated by Dorchester Paws Veterinarian when Dr. Bice is on campus (she is part-time). Angelo came in last week and immediately received the care he needed and surgery to repair his degloved jaw. He is currently in foster care, healing and being given supportive care. Dorchester Paw is not a county owned facility. Our operating budget is $1.1 million dollars, and the county only provides 13% of it to help. 87% of our budget, comes from donations and grants so we can continue to care for every neglected and abandoned animals.

Photo of Arlo

Arlo

Arlo is a 1-year-old Black Lab Mix in Summerville, SC, who needs $1,900 for knee surgery to fix luxating patellas in both knees.

Summerville, SC

We adopted Arlo on Jan. 31, 2020. We saw him online and rushed to the humane society first thing when they opened. We loved him at first site. Arlo lives with his older uncle dog, Roro. He also lives with his many humans: mom, dog grandfather, dog grandmother, two uncles, and two aunts. His youngest human aunt is 19 months old- he loves sharing food with her! Arlo is fantastic with everyone! He is a big ol’ barrel full of love! He’s good with everyone he meets, he thinks he’s a lapdog. We all love him as if he were our baby. He’s fantastic with kids. Loved to share food with his infant aunt. His injury has us all worried sick! Arlo is the best of the best! We had a house fire four months after we got Arlo and to be honest, pet insurance slipped our mind. We were displaced from our home and when we were pricing out policies is when he slipped and we got the diagnosis. Pet insurance isn’t even an option now. On Christmas Day, Arlo slipped on our lvp flooring. We thought he had a broken toenail. Two vet visits and $1,000 later, we find out that he has luxating patellas in both needs and requires surgery. We take him to the Summerville Pet Clinic in Summerville, SC. We love the pet clinic and trust their judgment- they have treated our other dog for cancer. Arlo fit in perfectly with our family. Our daughter, Meg, desperately wanted to raise a dog from the puppy stage (our other dog, Roro) was 2 years old when we adopted him. Our rule about getting a puppy was that he had to come from a shelter! Arlo’s cutest feature is that he snores like a human at night!!!!
