Kitty/Danni

Kitty/Danni is a 9 year old Manx in Williamston, SC, who needs $3,000 for Cancer Treatment.

Williamston, SC

I rescued kitty when she was 7 weeks old, and she has been with me ever since. She was born without most of her back legs, but has been relatively healthy until she developed a cancerous fungating tumor. My family is low-income, and I am trying to raise money to get her to an actual vet for an estimated price for treatment. We could only afford a mobile vet visit so far. He suggested Euthanasia. Kitty developed a fungating tumor last year, and it has only progressed since. The mobile vet noted that she was still healthy and not in much pain, but it needs to be treated sooner than later. I do not want her to die in my bedroom. I am trying to raise money to take her to a low-income friendly vet in upstate SC. My mom has been looking. Kitty is a lot like me. We are both introverted, love our space, we are both disabled. Unfortunately, she developed a tumor to add onto the similarities. When I was 8, I had an ovary rupture due to a teratoma tumor that doctors passed off as constipation. So I understand Kitty's situation just like my own, as we have both experienced medical neglect and the inability to receive proper treatment. My family is really low income, I have been trying to work on getting my GED and employment since I am still dependent on my family. I can't even drive Kitty to a vet myself if I could afford it due to not having glasses. So I have tried my best to spread a gofundme at least

Macy

Macy is a 5 Month Old Dachshund in Greer, SC, Who Needs $1,000 for Emergency Care for Inability to Bear Weight on Leg.

Greer, SC

Our sweet baby Macy came to us through a family friend! Macy is the highlight of everyone’s day. She is always up for playing and bringing the energy to every room she enters. Macy also loves snuggling with a blanket and being lazy. Macy was going out to potty, she ran and jumped from one step landed oddly and began yelping. She needs to be seen at emergency er as she can not bear weight. It was estimated to be seen would start at 500 and go up from there. Macy is like our baby. She has the sweetest disposition. Macy loves her car rides and laying in the run. She is very energetic but also extremely cuddly. Seeing her hurt is breaking my heart. This is an emergency and we are unable to afford the care as we do not have the funds at this time. We are on a set income and this is something we did not see coming. Any help is greatly appreciated

Koda is a 12 year old German Shepherd Dog in Spartanburg, SC, who needs $6,000 for Parathyroid Nodule Removal.

Spartanburg, SC

We have had Koda since she was 8 weeks old, when we adopted her. She is about to turn 12 soon. Koda has been with us through dating, engagement and 10 years of marriage and is part our family in every way possible. She has a younger brother who is 7 and they are inseparable. My husband is Deaf and in the community CODA means "Child of Deaf Adult", we spell her name "Koda" and she has a sign name. Koda has been suffering from chronic high calcium levels. These high levels increase her thirst and urination and have resulted UTIs and in some higher kidney levels. After months of different diagnostics our vet referred us to specialists at Upstate Vet Emergency and Specialty care. They found a nodule on Koda's parathyroid that is causing these issues. With treatment it will resolve entirely. Koda is a smart and loving girl. She doesn't want to cuddle but she wants to be wherever you are. She loves to go for a ride and enjoys pets from anyone and everyone. Koda loves to play tug of war, chase squirrels, bark her heart, eat treats and cuddle with her brother. She's a brave pup who will go wherever Dad goes and give everything a try at least once. She's simply the best we could ask for. My husband and I both work in K-12 education, and recently moved to the area, depleting much of our own savings to do so. Upstate Vet is estimating Koda's surgery will cost $4000 - $6000 dollars. We do not have these funds on hand, but want her to get the help she deserves.

Penelope

Penelope is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Greenville, SC, who needs $2,000 for Stereotactic Radiation Therapy.

Greenville, SC

Penelope came into our life through my son. He found her on FaceBook Marketplace. She was only four weeks old when he purchased her. Way too young to be taken from her mother. I instantly fell in love with Penelope and soon she became my constant companion 💕. Penelope was diagnosed with nasal carcinoma on July 3rd of this year, Dr. Alexander at Ambassador. At this point she was having difficulty breathing and the small lump between her eyes had grown significantly. Initially she was given two weeks to live. I can't even describe how devastated and helpless I felt. The diagnosis was confirmed by Dr. Nathan Lee at Upstate Vet on 08-06-2025, by CT scan. Penelope's favorite items are her three pillows and three dog beds. She has to have them in the bed with us every night to sleep and every morning before leaving for work, I take all six items to the living room where she remains in the daytime. If I'm in my craft room, I have to take her "belongings" with us, also. If I forget her belongings she barks at me. I've taken on large amounts of debt for surgery, tests, and medication, primarily relying on credit cards to cover Penelope's medical bills. I'm now struggling to pay for food, mortgage, car and utilities. I have nothing left to cover her ongoing expenses.

We’ve been told that we should look to spend a few thousand to have the surgery complete for her! My wife and I are new parents to a great 15 month old boy and greatly appreciate your time to look/help! Thank you Sadie has been diagnosed with a back-right CCL tear and requires surgery and a long recovery. We had taken her to Inman Animal Hospital where they are always sincere and understanding of all situations. We’re hoping for a quick and easy surgery so she can work on recovering and getting back to playing ball as she loves! Sadie is one of the most loving and caring dogs I’ve ever met. She’s very loyal to our family and quick to let other dogs/people know she is ours! She is very clingy and always looking to be the center of attention. She will never say no to any game of fetch. She loves on everyone and she always gets the love back! My wife & I are currently saving for a home and also have an amazing 15 month old boy. My wife is a 1st grade teacher and I work for my self selling life insurance. We greatly appreciate every cent that could help our Sadie get the care she needs! We thank you very much!

Easley, SC

Mittens was found under my mom's house, Mittens mom (Cowgirl) which is my mom's cat had gave birth to Mittens under my mom's house. I (Ashley) heard Mittens meow one morning and I went outside to see and there she was on the bricks along the side of the house, so I went to go get her little butt and it took maybe approx of 10 min to catch her. She was so little and scared but very playful. Mittens had her 2nd litter of kittens about 2 wks ago. She had 4. 3 died. I believe there is one still in her and she needs medical help. She's meowing like she's in pain and you can tell she is. She went from walking funny to not being able to walk at all. She uses her to front paws to slide across the floor to move/get around. It's so sad. 😓 Mittens loves to play. She's very active, very loving, a good momma, so sweet and can be very protective! She will chase a laser beam on the floor, chase a string and will pat your face with her paw for your attention! The last 2 years money has been very tight. I've been trying to find a good paying job but im not getting anywhere. I do DoorDash and Grubhub to get us by. I've been trying to get Mittens emergency help and everyone I've called wants $$ up front. Please help save our baby!

Greenville

A local humane society had posted zeke on their page saying he was a staff favorite but had been in the shelter 300+ days. I decided to foster him and it was a foster fail! It’s just been the two of us for almost 3 years now. I couldn’t imagine my home without him. He is currently a patient at Upstate Veterinary Specialist. He was diagnosed at the end of December with a nasal tumor called chondrosarcoma. It is a more rare nasal tumor in that it doesn’t tend to metastasize and it is slower growing. Recommended treatment is radiation therapy with a quote of 7-8k to complete the sessions needed. His favorite place to go is Camp Bow Wow while I work. He is a staff favorite and I always have trouble getting him in the car because he doesn’t want to leave! He is great with my 6 yr old nephew. He even told me “Aunt CC you can get another dog and I can take Zeke.” He’s also VERY food motivated. Always wanting snacks! I am a licensed veterinary technician. Our income, unfortunately, is about half that of a human nurse. I have already paid 4k for diagnostics alone. I truly believe everyone has a soul dog that will always have that spot in your heart that can’t be replaced. He’s mine.

Duncan, SC

JJ came into my life completely unexpectedly back in 2020. He was originally a family member's dog but they traveled a lot so he stayed with me most of the time, it got to the point where one night they took him home and he would not stop whining for anything until that morning when they brought him to me and he was fine. JJ and I could not be more alike in every single way. In 2021 JJ vet did an ultrasound on him and found that he had a liver shunt which she then put him on two medications to help manage it. JJ was doing great on the medications, acting like a normal dog, until a couple of weeks ago he had these moments where he just didn't wanna move or eat, but he would bounce back. But today was not the case I had to bring him to Upstate Emergency Vet. JJ is special because that dog couldn't be more like me in every possible way. JJ has been the one person who has always been my side and never gave up on me. Through some of my worst days, panic attacks to depression, JJ has been my support and comfort for the past 4 years. and the thought of never seeing him again or never feeling him climb on me again absolutely shatters my heart into pieces. I am currently battling agorophobia, which is another thing that makes JJ special, he helps me with exposure therapy. he's my biggest suppporter. JJ has never left my side nor giving up on me and I really want to do the same for him and not just have to put him down.

Mooresboro, NC

Buck is a very special guy. He is the first of now 6 dogs. We say he’s our OG boy. When he came into Ryan’s life he wandered up. Ryan was washing his car and this little beat and bloody pup walks up. Half of his little head caved in. We’re not sure but we believe someone threw him from a moving vehicle. He survived. Thank God. And rescued Ryan at the same time. We’re don’t know who saved who. Buck has narrowly escaped death once already. This time he has us, a gf (nova), a son (Georgie), 2 adopted brothers, and an adopted sister(Rosie)who adore him. Buck is bleeding internally. We don’t know why. He’s been to one vet and an emergency clinic last night. The first vet was $200 just to see the vet and get fluids. That’s it. No more money so no other procedures. Buck loves playing outside. He snores like a freight train. And adores his “wifey” nova bean. He’s quite fond of apples and “loading up” for a ride in the car. Buck is def a daddy’s boy. Except for when he’s in trouble or feeling under the weather. He has more patience than any other animal (or person) I’ve ever seen. And he loves the ladies. He never misses the chance for a scratch from one. The second visit to er last night was terrible. Buck was barely breathing and getting cold. Just for a consult was $250. Not even fluids this time. He is still getting worse. His tummy is getting hard and his lungs and ribs are hurting from filling with blood. Please help us

Leo is a 1 year old Turkish Van in Simpsonville, SC, who needs $1,950 for Feline Idiopathic Cystitis.

Simpsonville, SC

Leo followed us home on an early morning walk last August. He had an awful eye infection and was emaciated, but sweet as could be. We left food and water for him outside and left to go to work. He never left our home, even when we went to work, he stayed at our doorstep. The rest is history! We took him to the vet and checked for a chip, and they congratulated us on being chosen by our fella. We noticed that Leo was unable to urinate a day after being neutered and told to bring him to Upstate Vet Emergency and Specialty Care. There, they diagnosed him with Feline Iodiopathic Cystitis. It's a painful disease with no cure- only hope and special care. Insurance does not cover it. He'll need to have special treatment, close monitoring, and be on a prescription diet his whole life. Everyone who meets Leo knows he's very special. He's been described as "human-like", and a "character". He's unforgettable and loves people. He loves the movement of water, playing outside, and relaxing in his hammock. At night he sleeps right by my side. He's very vocal and makes funny noises when he jumps and explores the house. He loves to dart into boxes. He brings us so much laughter and joy. The vet bill is high and there's a possibility that Leo could need more procedures and eventually surgery. He will need to have more checks with vet following the ER visit. I'm an artist who is trying make it on a tight budget and part time job with no benefits.

We have been through several moves together and have been through so much. He misses me just as much if not more when i’m not home. I love him so much and don’t know what i would do without him. Pyro is so smart and sweet. He LOVES water and sitting at the bottom of the shower. His favorite place to sleep is under the blanket with me or in the laundry basket on the dryer. He is a little prankster and loves to play hide and seek and tag with you. When he wants something, he lets you know. He will tap your leg and walk you somewhere to meow at you so he can jump up and perch in your arms. He loves the catnip stuffed bananas and will go CRAZY for them. He loves to play fetch and will literally bring the toy back to you. He has the most personality and will literally smile at you and pose for pictures. He is so handsome and he knows it. I’m not exactly sure what is going on with him as I cannot afford to take him to the emergency vet but i think he needs to go. He is trying to go to the bathroom and not much is coming out. All vets around me require upfront payment and do not take payment plans. I am currently living paycheck to paycheck. I am young and on my own and have been working since I was 16 to make ends meet. My cat, my other half, has been there through everything and I can’t bare the thought of losing him over something fixable but unaffordable.

Pocket aka Kitty Girl

Pocket aka Kitty Girl is a 11-year-old DSH Cat in Williamston , SC, who needs $1,500 for Bone Biopsy.

Williamston, SC

We adopted Pocket when she was 3 months old. The people at GHS called her Pocket because she was a single little kitty that they carried in their pocket. When we adopted her, we also adopted another kitty. We weren't very creative when it came to renaming them, so we ended up calling them Kitty Girl and Kitty Boy. We have had several cats come and go, but Kitty Girl has always been our baby. Kitty Girl is the sweetest, most docile kitty ever. She is definitely a lover and not a fighter. She has had several places she enjoys lying about, but her all time favorite place to relax is a cardboard box with a tutu. It's very random, but somehow it just fits her and her calm nature. She loves chin scratches and ear rubs. Her purrs are very quiet, so it's extra special when you can hear them. When we brought Kitty Girl home, we thought she might have been mute because she didn't make a peep the first year we had her. Then, one day, out of nowhere, she let out a little meow, and we realized she could talk! She gets a little sassy with her daddy sometimes and gets very chatty with him. It is so fun to watch them meowing back and forth to each other. He absolutely adores her. Initially, we thought maybe she had sprained her leg. She didn't act like it bothered her too much because we could touch it with no issue. Then, one morning, as my husband was doling out the treats, she didn't come. And she loves treats! We took her to the ER vet and upon x-ray, they discovered a pretty sizeable tumor growing under her arm pressing into her ribs. The news absolutely crushed us. The past few months have been a struggle for my family with the cost of everything going up and having other unexpected bills piled on. I really would like to be able to get a definitive diagnosis, so we can get her back to herself. She is our world and it is heartbreaking!

It took months to get her used to my husband and now she loves him so much! Sasha is our little girls dog. They are inseparable. Sasha will let our daughter do anything to her or with her and just lays around. If we even take Sasha to the groomer and drop her off, our daughter cries. They are very attached to each other. Sasha is a complete goof ball. She is hyper and silly and runs through the house with her butt tucked to the ground when she takes her wild hairs. She constantly makes us laugh but she is also the biggest baby and cuddle bug. She loves being next to someone and will sit and paw at your arm or hand just wanting to be loved on. Sasha has had loss of appetite for about 2 weeks now. Vomiting for about 5 days and diarrhea for 4 days. We have been to the emergency vet two nights in a row. They have done x-rays and blood work, given her medicine for nausea and she still vomits. They are pretty sure she has an obstruction. We have contacted a specialist and are going to them. Whiskey was a Christmas gift(2018) to my husband 4 years ago. When we picked her up she was 8weeks old. My husband grew up with 3 Rottweilers and knew he wanted to have one again for our children to love and play with. My husband and I have 3 boys so Whiskey has been like our little girl. We also have 2 older dogs that are 11years old they are brother and sister from the same litter. Whiskey favorite thing is her ball! She wants to carry it everywhere all day. She loves for us to throw ball for her to catch. She could literally play ball all day and be content. Whiskey loves people and she wants to say “Hi” to everyone. She may be 130lbs but she acts like a 10lb puppy. She loves to “cuddle” weather in a recliner or bed. Whiskey sleeps with our oldest son with her own pillow. Whiskey is what I call my “velcro” dog. Where ever I am she is. I lost my mom March of 2021. Whiskey stayed by my side the whole time. She just wanted to make sure I was okay. Now it’s my turn to make sure she is okay. She is so young and hasn’t lived a long life yet. We just want to give her the chance. Plus we need our girl with us! In October Whiskey stopped eating like she normally does so we took her to the vet. There they discovered her lymph nodes around her neck were enlarged. We did biopsies and found out that she has diffuse large B cell lymphoma. The local oncology vet wouldn’t take her due to her size and breed so we are traveling 2 hrs away to another state for treatment. I have been out of work since August. I had to have shoulder surgery which led to froze shoulder and then I had to have a second shoulder surgery in November. We have 3 kids and being out of work we didn’t expect for our young dog to get cancer.

Flurry

Flurry is a 7-year-old Westie in Simpsonville, SC, who needs $1,500 for TPLO.

Simpsonville, SC

Flurry was purchased from a great breeder and lives at home with her two cats, mom and dad, as well as her brand new baby brother. Unfortunately her injury coincided while her baby brother was still in the womb, because of this our money had to be spent on her human brother and his birth. Flurry has free reign of the house and is never, ever left in a kennel. The couches and beds are her cage. Flurry spends her days patrolling the neighborhood from every window in the house. Some of these windows require a jump up onto a piece of furniture so she can get the best view. Because of her injury this has become very difficult. And because Westies and Flurry in particular are so strong willed, keeping her off of furniture is nearly impossible. Many pet owners relate a human feel to their furry friends, but with Flurry she really does have human like qualities. In the winter when the fireplace is lit like most dogs she wants to bathe in the warmth, but she knows fire is hot. If the cats get to close she will pull them back in a motherly way. She also does this with small children who get near the front or back doors. Westies unfortunately have steep knee inclines that make them susceptible to tearing their ACL either through accident or age. That's what happened to Flurry, she tore her right ACL in half and now walks with a limp that causes her discomfort. To correct this she will need a surgical procedure called a TPLO, this has a 95% success rate and should provide a full recovery. Flurry's injury happened during our first pregnancy which unfortunately put us in a bad position where we would need money for our unborn baby and all the expenses that come with having an infant child. I am a hair stylist and can only earn money when I am working.

He comforts her when she is sad, (sleeps/purrs on her lap) he makes her laugh with his curiosity,(tries to squish his big head into the air vent opening to get a cool draft), I could go on for days! Sheldon is a sweet daddy’s girl. Sheldon’s dad passed away when she was 14, so her cat babies are everything to her ❤️‍🩹 Dash started crying in pain yesterday morning (@ 3 am) when using the litter box. He could not urinate after trying and this is very out of character for him. Sheldon suspected a urethral blockage so she rushed him to the vet ER. Momma bear was right. 😿 Dash is currently at Upstate Vet in Greenville, SC and is undergoing surgery today (1.24.22) for a blocked urinary tract. Sheldon is a 20 year old independent young woman. She is in dire need of support during this difficult time. Dash is her baby. Please help me, Micah James her best friend, help her. Dash’s medical bills are $3,800. Anything helps!! From an animal lover & best friend 💗

Spippy

Spippy is a 1-year-old Jack Russell Terrier in Maggie Valley, NC, who needs $2,000 for Balloon Valvuloplasty.

Maggie Valley, NC

Spippy is a one year old Jack Russell Terrier that lives with his Chihuahua "brother" and human sister with Autism. He has such an unusual name because his human sister gave it to him! He has a congenital heart disorder called pulmonary stenosis and he needs surgery, a balloon valvuloplasty, to extend his life! For now he is a happy little fellow, but could go into heart failure at any moment. Spippy loves to play with his "brother" and they love to run in the yard and he particularly likes to dig for bugs! Of course, once he finds them, they scare him and he jumps in the air. He could be an agility dog, if his heart would allow it because he is a natural jumper and glider. What he loves the most is to sit on our lap and snuggle with everyone. Both my husband and I are teachers and this was quite unexpected. When they told us he had a heart murmur we expected it to be benign and were not expecting it to cost so much to fix. Spippy was born with a congenital heart defect called pulmonary stenosis. It is a very common disorder and many dogs can live a long life with it, however Spippy's is severe and therefore he needs a surgery called a balloon valvuloplasty which will insert a balloon into his pulmonary artery to open it up. He makes us smile all the time with his carefree personality! Even the cardiologist, who sees many dogs, instantly fell in love with him, she said it was the pointy ears. I have had many dogs in my life, but Spippy has the BEST personality of any dog that I have ever owned. He is loving, he has a great spirit and he is just happy all of the time. It is a joy to have him in our lives.
