Annie Oaks
Annie Oaks is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Bristol, TN, who needs $9,800 for Menengioencephalitis Treament.
Bristol, TN
Annie Oaks is my 11 year old service companion. We met 11 years ago through an adoption event through Sullivan County Animal Shelter where I was volunteering. She assists me with my hearing disabilities and has become my protector, my best friend, my golf buddy and my ability to feel safe. I have trained her and she is a full fledged registered service animal. On May 16, 2026, my Annie collapsed and became unconscious. I took her to our local emergency vet where she was diagnosed with a neurological disease. I then took her to UT Veterinary hospital where after extensive workup and a week stay in ICU, she was diagnosed with menengioencephalitis. While on steroids, she contracted abscesses and had to return to UT on an emergency basis. Annie is a love bug to people she trusts. She is my golf partner and knows when I put my golf visor on, we are going to play. She is well known at Clear Creek Golf Club and out local TV station did a story about how much she loves the game. She has guarded my grandchildren when they were babies and has always alerted me if they were crying or distressed and what prompted me to train her. During the course of her treatment, I have exhausted my resources. I am on disability. Annie Oaks (named after Annie Oakley) is my lifeline when I'm out by myself. I need her and rely on her. She is a fighter with this illness and I am giving her the chance.

Georgie
Georgie is a 7 year old Boxer in Clinton, TN, who needs $2,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment.
Clinton, TN
Georgie is a rescue from MO living her best life in TN. She has lived with my family for almost 7 years and is absolutely the light of our lives. She brightens the darkest day and was the missing piece to our family we didnt know we needed. She healed parts of us that we never thought could be touched. She is the queen of this castle. We are just mere peasants in her royal court. Started as what we thought was anal glads issues on Friday. She saw our usual vet on Saturday and had her glands expressed. Everything seemed to improve. Until Sunday when get spent the better part of 3 hours straight to poop..or so we thought. She soon began to vomit multiple times leading us to take her to knox animal clinic who referred us to UT veterinary hospital. My husband's brother lives with us and has cerebral palsy. He is terrified of animals. Georgie has fallin in love with him. We are her people and her safe place and she is our heart. When we come home from work she eagerly waits on us to come through the door. Leaving me to wonder how we ever got along without her wiggly self. Like the rest of the world we struggle pay check to paycheck. This huge unexpected bill could potentially put us behind on our house payment. There are not enough words to describe the gratitude my family would feel if we received help meeting this need.

Oliver Twist
Oliver Twist is a 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier in Williamsburg, KY, who needs $2,000 for Pelvic Surgery.
Williamsburg, KY
I have had olliver for 7 years now I got him as a puppy feom a freind and he is a very important part of out family and very much loved by all of us. Ollie escaped and got hit by a car after 2 days of being missing we found him unable to walk. After a vert trip it was found that his pelvis was broken and he will need surgery. Ollie absolutely loves to run around.he is a super energetic and fast dog. Even despite his injury he still wants to run around and play. My daughter and him are especially bonded. I have had emergency money set aside but after a string of events that fund slowly dwelled and while I can afford some of his bill a 5000 dollar bull is not one i can take on.

Oakley
Oakley is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Monticello, KY, who needs $2,000 for IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) Surgery.
Monticello, KY
My dad fell in love with Oakley after visiting a friends house whose dog had just had puppies! Oakleys wiggly butt stole his heart and has ever since! She now lives with her full blooded sister Honey that’s 2 years younger and our youngest but biggest dog Daisy whose a mountain cur! Tuesday night she went from playing to dad noticing she was walking odd. Walking odd turned into not having function of either of her back legs. First thing Wednesday morning we were at our vet who diagnosed her with IVDD. We had to take Oakley to the UT ER Thursday night and they preformed surgery Friday morning. Oakley is as sassy and sweet as it comes! She loves to play especially with her ball or a frisbee! She is definitely a people dog! To know Oakley is to love her! We are told often about our family and friends love of Oakley! We have a fixed income and the little money we had saved went towards Oakleys medicine and laser therapy nothing surgery related! Now we are struggling to come up with the money to cover Oakleys $7,000-$9,000 surgery! We just want our baby pain feee and walking again!

Maya
Maya is a 3 month old Mix-Breed in Gatlinburg, TN, who needs $2,000 for Ortho Surgery.
Gatlinburg, TN
Maya was with a litter where she had another girl that looked just like her. Her owner couldn’t keep her so she contacted a friend of mine to get a rehoming fee to get the mama cat fixed. Maya has a brother here that it’s an orange tabby that I had previous to getting her. They love each other so much! Maya was inside of a neighbors truck on the engine I guess (which is completely new because she’s an inside cat and only goes outside some) and when he started the truck he found her on the ground. I took her to animal emergency hospital and they were quoting prices for $4,500 to $6,000 Her left femur is broken and her pelvic bone. She needs surgery Maya has a personality that will completely change your mood! She’s very outgoing loves to climb everything and then when she wants to be held she will make you lay down with here. I couldn’t imagine not having her ever. I am a single mom to a 14 year old son I work 3 jobs just to make ends meet. I did have a credit of $1,000 with credit care but had to use it on my orange tabby previously when he had an infection with no known origin. We love Maya we can’t live without her

Paisley
Paisley is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Strunk, KY, who needs $2,000 for Remove a Large Right Cranial Parathyroid Nodule.
Strunk, KY
Paisley came into my life when she was less than 6 weeks old. We think she is a Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix. I went to pick her up and she was outside, frozen to the ground. She was born in February and she didn’t even weigh 2 pounds. She is now 11 years old. We have 3 more rescues in the household. Paisley has many nicknames. The most common would probably be P, but we also call her Paisel, or P-diddle. Paisley started to act strange, stopped eating, and only wanted to lay around. I took her to her vet where they ran some blood work. They found that her calcium was too high and did some further tests which showed that she was diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism and hypercalcemia. They went on to diagnose a tumor on her parathyroid. She had surgery to remove it at UT Small animal clinic. Paisley is such a loving little girl! She loves to swim and play fetch with her little rubber ducks! Her best furry friend was a cat named Katniss. They would play together for hours. She is my little best friend in the world. She has been through many of my life's good and bad times. She was right by my side when I lost my mom. She likes to do whatever I am doing. She isn’t afraid of anything. This was a very unexpected expense for us. I have already maxed out credit cards to pay her doctor's bills and am running out of options. We are on a fixed income. She has already been in the hospital 5 nights and I am not sure how much longer she will have to stay.

Ritz
Ritz is a 9 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in Rogersville , TN, who needs $2,000 for Orthopedic Surgery of Right Forelimb.
Rogersville, TN
We located our little Ritz Bitz at The Cavalier Rescue, a life-saving rescue organization. They found us perfect to be his forever home and we brought him home in May 2024, when he was 7 months old. He was surrendered for euthanasia from a mill breeder who said, "He's deformed and no one will want him." The Cavalier Rescue stepped in to save him. Now he's ours! (I suspect we belong to him!) Ritz was born with a congenital malformation of his right front paw. He runs like the wind, but has been compensating for the short leg. We brought him to UT VMC to find out what's needed. Three expensive surgeries will get him pain free, able to live a long life. 1st is a muscle adjustment to his upper muscle. TOMORROW, July 16th. Around $2,000. The other two surgeries can wait another 3-9 months Ritz is unstoppable! He runs like the wind, is loved by his 6 fur-siblings, and snuggles hard. He doesn't know he's different but his level of discomfort is getting real. We need to get him whole while there's time before permanent damage sets in. Hearing his little yelps of pain while he's trying to live his best puppy life is hard. He deserves a full life and we pledged to see this through. We rescue dogs like Ritz and keep funds on hand for specialist care. We regularly add to our pet care fund, but these surgeries, starting tomorrow and continuing for a year, threaten to deplete those funds. So, we're asking for crowd funding to help, as difficult that is.

Luka
Luka is a 10 month old Boxer in Knoxville, TN, who needs $2,000 for Intensive Care.
Knoxville, TN
Luka was rescued from Young Williams Animal Center when he was 2 months old. Over the last 7 months, we have learned he loves playing outside with his older brother Ruka, going for walks on the Greenway, and taking trips to extended family in other states. His favorite activity is giving hugs and kisses to everyone he meets. Luka had 3 surgeries within the last 3 weeks. The first surgery was for an obstruction due to a Kong toy, 2nd one was due to PO complications. His last surgery was due to an obstruction, possibly a remnant of a Kong toy missed in his first surgery. His intestines were wrapped around his spleen, requiring a splenectomy. He is currently in the ICU at UTK Vet & might be transferred to critical care. Luka is a very loving and sweet boy. He has always been one to smell everyone he meets when we go on our walks and wag his tail like they are now family. He's been introduced to our family, and they all just LOVE his gentleness and caring side, whether he introduces himself to you with endless kisses or a jump for a hug. There's always a smile on people's faces when Luka walks in the room. I am a FT dental student and have pulled from my stocks +401k to pay for his other surgeries. We greatly received $795 from family/friends; however, with this new surgery, we have no additional funds to pay for this current visit. We just want our baby so we can be complete.

MJ
MJ is a 1-year-old House Cat in Knoxville, TN, who needs $400 for Diagnosis and Treatment.
Knoxville, TN
I didn’t find Mj, she found me. She came up to me one day while I was door dashing and followed me all the way to the car and then home. She was the sweetest girl and so calm. She’s my baby and I can’t imagine losing her. Especially when she’s not even 2 years old yet. She has a lot of life to live and siblings who love her so much. I just want her healthy again. She loves to cuddles. Loves having her chin scratched and is so gentle. She loves my son and sleeps with him on a regular basis, and never fails to comfort me when I’m dealing with my own chronic illness. She just brings peace to our family. She is so sweet and always knows when someone needs a little loving. She is always there to make you feel better, or relax you, or whatever else you might need. She can calm my storms and make me laugh when I’m at my lowest. We are trying to raise the funds to get her treated at the vet for an unidentified issue. She seems to be having accidents in the bed suddenly the last few weeks, we didn’t know that was what it was, and last night 12/5/2023 I noticed her having trouble it seemed like breathing. She was taking very short and shallow breaths. I watched her closely and around 4 am she seemed to get worse. I’m a single mom with a young child so we have a one person income through my sons dad. And we are already struggling with day to day bills and we’re being told it’s at least $130 to just be seen at the cheapest place I’ve found.

Maxim
Maxim is a 9-month-old Great Dane in Knoxville, TN, who needs $2,000 for Internal Medicine Diagnostic Testing.
Knoxville, TN
Max is my husband service dog in training. My husband and I are both disabled Army veterans. Max helps my husband with his PTSD and will be learning mobility assistance as well. We purchased this boy to help and now he has become my husband’s best friend. He is the most loving sweet boy on the earth and we are so blessed to have him. Max loves on everyone when he isn’t working with my husband. He never meets a stranger. He is best friends with my service dog, who misses him very much. Max may be a giant, but he is all heart. Max is an amazing boy. Even today when they were trying to get multiple IV’s going for him, he laid his big head in the tech’s lap and let her work. He is so laid back and so gentle. He is so special. Max is currently at UT Veterinary Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. Max started limping unexpectedly on Monday and we called to schedule a vet appointment. By Tuesday morning, he was no longer willing to walk. When we got him to the vet, he had a fever of 104.5. Our local vet has done all they can to determine the nature of Max’s illness after almost two days with them so now he is at UT We are disabled veterans, and do not make much monthly from that. UT is the most expensive place to take your dog but they are the difference between him living and not. He is so sick now. We are asking for help to afford his $3500 treatment estimate.

Mune
Mune is a 9-month-old Domestic Medium Hair Kitten in Knoxville, TN, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Endoscopy.
Knoxville, TN
Mune is the sweetest loving kitten that I rescued from the shelter. He is my bet furry friend and my study buddy as I am a student at the University of Tennessee. He is a light gray color and has the kindest eyes you will ever see. He is the kindest kitten and wants nothing more then to stay by my side all day. He is quite the talker and loves to sleep in the sun and cuddle up close at night. He has multiple cat toys and is quite the active kitten. He never kips a meal and is always ready to grab some of my food if I am not paying close attention. He is also a fan of TV and enjoys watching New Girl with me. His favorite thing is to chew on anything and everything he can find and he never leaves his favorite cat toy alone. He has had it since day 1 and prefers to play with only his toy. I actually adopted him on a full moon day (hence the name Mune) which is after the animation the "guardian of the moon" and he knows how to be my guardian and look after me when I am stressed or having a hard time. My cat is in dire need of an endoscopy. His chewing habits got the best of him and he has swallowed the aglet of a shoelace. He is in an emergent situation as this aglet is just barely too big to pass through his tiny kitten intestine on his own. He is stable but we have the surgery scheduled and he is needing to get it out ASAP before it can cause a blockage in his intestine. I am a pre medical student at the University of Tennessee and do not have the appropriate funds to afford this care. My kitten is so young and I can't imagine being here without him. It would mean the world to me to know be able to protect him after all he ha done for me.

Toby
Toby is a 12-year-old Chihuahua in Knoxville, TN, who needs $1,800 for Palliative RT.
Knoxville, TN
12 year ago, I lived in a very rural area, very small country town. Toby and his siblings came to be with me after being rescued from a chicken wire cage wrapped around a tree in the middle of winter. He was only 6 weeks old! He immediately came to be part of our family. My daughter is now 13 and we are hoping to overcome the financial obstacle and save our Toby from cancer. Toby is a small dog, but loves all animals! When small he was raised with cats, chickens, sheep, goats, all the farm animals. He is very playful and loves snuggling under blankets. My son and daughter absolutely adore him, he is the glue to our family. He has been with us my daughters whole life, we couldn’t imagine a life without him, especially just bc we couldn’t afford to save him! I was a stay at home mom for past 3 years, during said time I graduated pharmacy tech school and am now a pharmacy tech working FT. I have 2 kids, and make $12hr. Even with saving, I am unable to financially cover the whole treatment.I would do anything to save my best friend Toby had a large bump come up on his face, back of his jaw on the left side. We went to Butlers Animal Clinic in Karns,TN where I was told his bump was a cancerous tumor. They did a fine needle aspiration and determined it was cancerous and inoperable..I was told he was being referred to UT Oncology Vet Specialists for a CT scan. That is where his treatment will be done, palliative RT Toby is a cover stealer LOL, he loves climbing up and dragging all the covers down so he can snuggle up underneath. The sound his giant ears makes when he shakes off always make me smile. As he runs up and down our hallways, his putter patters always bring a smile to our faces! Just coming home everyday to our best friend is all the happiness I could ask for.

Saban
Saban is a 10-year-old Alley Cat in Knoxville, TN, who needs $1,900 for a blood transfusion.
Knoxville, TN
My cat is 10 years old. His name is Saban. He is named after the head coach of the University of Alabama, Nick Saban. Saban is the love of my life. He is so much more than a cat to me. My nannie raised me. And left me this cat. He is the last thing I have from her. I love him so much. I feel like when I lose him it’s the finality of her dying. Please help me. Saban runs my house. Anyone who knows me will tell you that. He is very spoiled. Very spoiled. He eats 4 times a day. Sleeps with me. And does whatever he wants. I pay someone to come and let him in and out during the day. He lives a great life. Saban is human like. He only drinks out of the sink. He gives me kisses in the mouth. He is incredible. I’ve already spent all I have and borrowed all I can to go this far. Please please help me save my baby. I’m doing all i can. I love him so much. I need help. I can’t lose him. He needs a transfusion now. A couple days before Thanksgiving my cat was acting weird so i took him to pet doctor who told me to take him to the ER. I did 2 days later and they did nothing really except gave him fluids. He did receive a blood transfusion to save his life. And something is wrong with his liver and we can’t figure it out. His regular vet can’t either. I’m out of money and options. I’m clinging to hope. Just looking at his face brings a smile to my face. Saban saved my life. When I lost my nannie, I was devastated he literally brought me back to life. People have always told me my obsession is a little much where he is concerned but I don’t care, he is such a special guy, I need him. I literally need him. He makes very day better for me.

Lily
Lily is a 14-year-old Chihuahua in Maryville, TN, who needs $1,250 for treatment of pneumonia and fluid in her lungs.
Maryville, TN
Lily was a birthday gift from my husband who has since passed away. I have had her since she was 6 weeks old. She I had been my support animal for the past 9 years. We spend 24/7 together. This is the first time I have had to leave her in a hospital. Lily’s nickname is Bean. When she was a puppy she had to jump through the grass by jumping. Lily and I have always shared my bed. She has to be touching me when she goes to sleep. She loves going on walks and even swimming in the lake. She loves fishing and gets so excited when I catch a fish. She loves other dogs and we lost our other fur babyJoJo at age 16 just last year. Lily has really missed him. I am living alone since my husband passed away a year and a half ago. I am on disability due to my lupus and back problems. It would mean the world to me to have Lily healthy again so we can go on our walks and go for car rides. She’s all I have and I cannot lose her. Lily has pneumonia and fluid in her lungs but I was told she will recover with treatment. She is in the University of Tennessee veterinarian hospital. They are keeping her overnight on oxygen because she was not breathing very well. They are in the process of doing bloodwork and x-rays to make sure that is the only complications that she has. Lily is afraid of thunder or people that yell. She has been by my side through a lot of stressful times and can just look at me with those dark eyes and she makes my day better. She has been so healthy her whole life until now. I know she is scared of being in the hospital. I’m always with here. She is the sweetest little thing.

Roxi
Roxi is a 10-year-old Blue Heeler/APBT in Jamestown, TN, who needs $5,000 for Anastomosis and Colorectal Resection.
Jamestown, TN
I have dedicated my life in the last 10 years to rescuing animals that have nowhere else to go. Roxi became a member of the pack when I saw a litter of puppies on a farm in poor conditions. She and her litter mates needed a safe and clean place to go. They were in a milk crate, covered in feces in the heat of California summer. The others found homes, and she found hers too, in my heart💖 Roxi is very intelligent, sweet, and has sass like you'd never believe. She's tougher than nails, and such a goofball! The best all-around girl anyone could ask for! She brings me her monkey toy every morning, and asks me for her walk every evening by waiting by my sneakers. She never let's a day go by without handing me a stick to play fetch😂 She loves to chase squirrels, hike, and explore! The combination of surgery and chemotherapy gives her a very positive prognosis! Full recovery is expected, with 5-6 more happy years in store! If you have the means to help us #saveroxi, know she sends her love! Roxi was diagnosed with Colonic Adenocarcinoma on 5/21 with a 2 month prognosis😭Her only chance to survive is surgery, followed by chemotherapy. She had surgery on 6/5, now we must pay that bill before continuing with chemo. We are racing the clock! We are struggling to get her the treatment that she needs to survive because we are experiencing financial hardship due to Covid. Help us #saveroxi Roxi means so much to me because she's been there for me through thick and thin! When I was between homes, when I traveled the country, when I had barely enough money to feed us, when I brought rescues in... She's been my rock, and has never failed to be my best friend, fur-daughter, confidante and caretaker. She's so forgiving and has taught me how to love unconditionally.
