Bonnie
Bonnie is a 2 year old Boxer in Bakersfield, CA, who needs $4,500 for Hospitalization to Treat High Liver Enzymes.
Bakersfield, CA
I was contacted by someone about a boxer puppy needing a home and so I said I would help. I had my sweet baby girl with me less than a couple hours before I knew that she was sent to me by my Cash (my soul dog who I lost in 2023) and that I had to keep her! She’s now 2 years old living her best life with us! Bonnie got into a pack of icebreakers gum, which is apparently very toxic to dogs. I don’t even know how she got to it but she did and within a few hours she was throwing up, shaking, panting and hiding. It was so scary. She is having to have a plasma transplant. This is super scary and we just want her to get better! She’s so sweet but she’s also like the bossy little sister of the household. She knows when it’s dinner time and starts barking her cute little bark to eat. She loves being under her blanky so will paw at anyone who is around to let her under it. She’s so quirky and sweet. Everyone is struggling in this economy so asking for help is such a nightmare for me, but I was contacted about Bonnie needing the plasma transplant which will add so much to an already high bill that I just can’t afford right now. Any little bit is appreciated!

Tatum Sky
Tatum Sky is a 1 month old Mix-Breed in Tehachapi , CA, who needs $2,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment.
Tehachapi, CA
I adopted this sweet little angel a couple days ago. She lives with me in my house I just don’t at this time have the exact funds to be able to treat her I am stressed because if what is going on with her eyes and I want to get her health checked make sure she is okay she has not had her shots yet so it makes it tricky her eyes have been red, watery, sleeping alot, sneezing, sleeping alot. She does not seem all that interested in drinking water and if has been concerning. She is very cuddly and sweet and smart and attentive with me and I have never felt so attached to a kitten or pet in my life she is very loyal and always comes and sleeps right next to me not my fiance I have no money to my name right now till I start my job which isn’t for a while and her condition is getting worse by the day I’m so worried about my precious baby girl. Because when I look it up online it mentions upper respiratory infection

Lincoln
Lincoln is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Bakersfield , CA, who needs $1,300 for Urinary Obstruction Treatment.
Bakersfield, CA
This is my sweet boy, Lincoln. He's only 1 year old, and he truly is my baby. He's the kind of cat who follows me around, wants to be near me, and spends his days exploring the home, playing, and wrestling with his big brother, Storm, who is waiting for him back home. They do everything together. A few days ago, Lincoln suffered a life-threatening urinary blockage and had to be rushed to the emergency vet. He is currently receiving urgent care, including catheterization and fluids, to stabilize his condition at VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital. Lincoln isn't "just a cat" to me. He's family. He's brought so much comfort, laughter, and love into my life. He loves curling up next to his “big brother” Storm whenever he can. He has a gentle, curious personality and is very social. Even while going through his current medical emergency, he continues to show how loving and strong he is, and he truly feels like emotional support and family to me I never imagined I would be in a position where I had to ask others for help. I’ve spent the last few days stressed, scared, and applying for assistance, and trying every possible option because giving up on him was never something I could accept.

Ylva
Ylva is a 6 month old Great Pyrenees in Bakersfield, CA, who needs $2,600 for Parvo Treatment.
Bakersfield, CA
Ylva is a 7 month old Great Pyrenees mix. We found a guy that had her and her seven siblings in a pen that was about 8ftx8ft. The dogs were all covered in feces, fleas, and fighting each other. Unfortunately we couldn't take all of them at the time but we could take one. So we picked her out of the crowd and reported the neglect to animal control. We got her cleaned up and took her home. In the week that we have owned Ylva, we thought that she was timid and scared. She spent most of her time curled up/hiding. So we have been working on socializing her. A few days ago we saw that she had vomited. We took her to VCA of Bakersfield and they diagnosed her with Parvo. I wish I had a lot to share about her personality but we were just learning to trust each other. She is young and timid but she loves my other dogs and our livestock. In the week that she has been with us, she has started to approach us when called and smile when we pet her. We have Care Credit and plan to use it. However we can't afford the entire treatment for her. We are looking for a third of her treatment to be covered. I want to see her live and I want to see her flourish into the amazing dog I know she is deep down.

Mochi
Mochi is a 10 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Bakersfield, CA, who needs $1,500 for Extract Carnassial Routine.
Bakersfield, CA
Mochi was adopted 10 years ago, June 11th, 2015. He was part of a pair of twin yorkies that were very playful and he loved on us immediately. He has been with us through every house we've moved to and every difficulty we've had. He currently is living with us alongside a pet bird named Potato. His name was selected because his twin brother was named Miso, so we thought Mochi sounded just as cute. Mochi currently has Tooth Root abscess, which means he has a large, pus and blood filled pocket on the side of his face that needs to be cleaned and washed often. He is currently taking Amoxicillin and Meloxicam but has worsened to the point where he urgently needs surgery to remove the infection and to save his mouth and his life. His hospital is the VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital. Despite his age, he plays and acts like he's been a puppy his entire life. He loves playing outside, being in everyone's business, being clingy to everyone he meets, and naps it all away before doing it again the next day. He loves watching the outside through his window we set up just for him. He brings joy to absolutely everyone he meets, even if he's nervous and shy at first. This was a very sudden emergency, our entire family is living under one roof and can only sometimes afford groceries. We cannot afford what he needs without selling all we have left. We care more about him than ourselves, and we want the best for him.

Sebastian
Sebastian is a 0 year old Russian White, Black and Tabby in Bakersfield , CA, who needs $2,000 for 48hr Monitoring for Infection and Urine Blockage.
Bakersfield, CA
My cat Sebastian has been having medical issues ever since I adopted him when he was 3 months old. At that time he had a severe upper respiratory infection requiring me to make four different vet visits and finally getting the right antibiotic to work for him which was doxycycline. We of course think of Sebastian as part of the family. Recently I took Sebastian to the emergency vet due to a blockage in his urinary tract causing his bladder to almost rupture. Luckily he was able to urinate without surgery but has a 104° temperature meaning he has an infection. Since he was able to urinate himself he doesn't have to have the emergency surgery but will continue to be monitored for 48 hours. The final payment is $2,672.69 Sebastian is definitely one of a kind. Who has the best personality of a cat that I've ever seen. He is super friendly and really chill. He loves him to play and it's very friendly and gets along with everybody. Times are tough right now, and unfortunately I don't have a credit card to use to charge the bill My family is struggling as is especially with Christmas right around the corner He is staying at the VCA Bakersfield Pet Center here in Bakersfield, CA.
