Hamilton
Hamilton is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees in Montgomery, AL, who needs $2,000 for Double FHO.
Montgomery, AL
Hamilton came into our lives at 5 weeks old. A neighbor's dog had puppies and when I saw this little guy with his eyebrows my heart melted. He is 2 years old and brings joy to our lives every single day. When I get home from work he literally hugs my legs, whenI sit down he's on my lap or at my feet. His full name is Alexander Hamilton and he has my heart Hamilton first got hurt in July and spent 2 months in hobbles after luxating his hip. This past Friday it happened again only worse, both hips are out and his only option is surgery. We are getting opinions and keeping him comfortable. His best chance is a dual hip replacement which costs around $14,000 which we don't have. There is another surgery that costs closer to $5,000 that help him Ham loves his toys and his pets friends. He is my emotional support puppy and I am his emotional support person. He is a gentle giant and hides behind mommy when he gets scared. He is so affectionate and loving, he adores my 9 year old grandson and would protect him with his life. He still has so much life in him and so much love I have been a single mom for 12 years, my son graduated college and my daughter is starting back in January. I work full time and it covers expenses but nothing extra. Any and all help to save my baby bear would be appreciated, thank you all!

Archer
Archer is a 5-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Ozark, AL, who needs $1,500 for Perineal Urethrostomy.
Ozark, AL
Five years ago while new to the area Archer and his 2 siblings came to me through a fostered litter, last year his sister unexpectedly passed away and several weeks of emergency care. Archer has so much personality and greets me every day after work and sleeps snuggled under the blankets with me every night. From the moment I get home Archer is stuck to me like glue, he always wants to be where I am. He has 2 other cats that he plays with while I'm not home. He has such a big personality and so much love to share. Every night when I go to sleep he patiently waits for me to lift the blankets so he can crawl under and sleep right under my chin. Archer is very vocal and has a way of letting you know what he wants and when he wants it. When I'm out of sight he calls for me until we are reunited again. He has a very loud purr that is always going from the moment you look at him. He is so gentle and loves falling asleep having his paws massaged. He loves being held and cradled. Last month in mid February Archer started showing signs of urinary discomfort, a prompt trip to the vet revealed a urinary blockage. A catheter, antibiotics and a stay overnight was all he needed, the following week he went back to the vet for a progress check with another round of antibiotics. Today he is back at the vet with another blockage and an overnight stay. In February 2023 at 15 my first cat suddenly declined in health and I had to say goodbye, in September 2023 Archer's sister was diagnosed with hemolytic immune anemia that resulted in emergency care that could not save her life. These 2 losses cost around $6,000.

Teddy
Teddy is a 7-year-old Long-haired Dachshund in Auburn, AL, who needs $2,000 for Hemilaminectomy.
Auburn, AL
I found Teddy on a website where he was available as a "teen/young adult" because the breeders who bred him were disappointed he grew to 20 pounds instead of a mini. He was fixed and placed online as a bargain puppy because he was no longer of use to the breeder. I fell in love with him from the first photo and drove from Alabama to Tennessee to get him. He's been with me through thick and thin. Teddy shares an apartment with myself, and 2 cats, Lana and Goblin. Teddy loves when Lana grooms him, often giving him the craziest looking hairstyles. Goblin likes to push cat treats off the counter for Teddy to enjoy. And when cat zoomies strike, Teddy excitedly follows to see what the excitement is all about. There is no shortage of cuddles in my apartment! I strongly suspect Teddy did not have the best life with the breeder I acquired him from. He was so fearful of people. He quickly became my velcro dog, wanting constant affection and reassurance he was safe and loved. He is so in tune with emotions, offering cuddles when I'm upset and joining me when I'm excited with enthusiastic tail wags and wiggles. When excited, he bounces on his front paws. I learned a few years ago, Teddy has genetic disc issues in his spine. The vet said this would become a problem later and I guess now is later. Within 24 hours, he lost the ability to walk on his back legs. Immediate surgery is advised for any chance of restoring his ability to walk. PetVet in Auburn has been amazing and referred to Carriage Hill in Montgomery. My own medical issues and expenses have been a huge hit to finances. I had to sell my car, get second jobs, and have been prioritizing funds for the Hills Science Diet food recommended after I almost lost Teddy to Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis in 2021. I desperately need help.
