Pandora

Pandora is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Lisle , , who needs $500 for Surgery to Remove Masses and Growths.

Lisle

My husband and I rescued Pandora 6 years ago. When we rescued her she had been there for months, no one wanted her because she has a growth on her leg, she’s old, and she is shy and scared. When we rescued her we watched her go from a timid scared dog, to a playful sweet heart. She is truly my soul dog. She has been with me through the death of multiple grandparents, the birth of my son, and more. Pandora has a growth on her back left leg that she has had since she was rescued, but now has a new one forming on her front left leg along with spreading black spots. She is also losing control of her urination. She will be going to VCA animal hospital in Joliet. She is my best friend. She is my son’s best friend. He is almost 2 and he loves her to death. She just sleeps and cuddles and loves you. Her nickname is panda, and panda kisses are rare but when you get one, you can feel her love. We are a one income family of 3 (our son is 20 months old). We are in the middle of moving after my husband had been out of work due to my medical issues. We are still catching up on bills.

Max

Max is a 3-year-old DSH Cat in Joliet, IL, who needs $1,700 for Perineal Urethrostomy.

Joliet, IL

Max was a feral kitten, born under my son's deck next door. I played with those kittens every day to socialize them, then at 8 weeks Max adopted me, crawling into my lap for a nap. We've had a strong bond ever since. I adopted the entire litter, 5 total. Thanks to SPAY Illinois all are neutered. They live completely indoors. We also have a dog who loves cats and considers them his charges. I brought in the kittens at age 12 weeks, after spending 7 weeks socializing them outside with their mother (my son adoped her). They live completely indoors and get along very well together and with the dog. I've never regretted bringing them in. They are endlessly entertaining and very loving. My income has been unreliable but they are always a priority. To us these cats are family. He is goofy and happy, loves to play and wrestle with his siblings. Like Linus, he has a favorite blanket (shown in the photos). He loves tummy rubs, (especially if the dog is watching). Every night he sleeps snuggled close to me. If he thinks I am working too long he will head butt my laptop out of the way and jump up for some snuggles. He purrs like a freight train! Several months ago Max suddenly started squalling and falling over in pain. Our veterinarian diagnosed a urinary tract blockage. It's happened twice more since. The doctor has recommended a Perineal Urethrostomy to prevent recurrence since blockages cause much suffering and can be fatal. Other than this Max is perfectly healthy. The pandemic seriously affected my income. I've bounced between full and part time using a credit card to make ends meet. Now I have to cover a new furnace too. I'm paying on $1800 so far, but I can't afford the needed surgery. Max is my stress relief. He's worth it!
