Zeus

Zeus is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Sandwich, MA, who needs $9,000 for Partial Tarsal Arthrodesis Surgery.

Sandwich, MA

Zeus came into our lives 4 years ago, and let me tell you it has been an incredible 4 years. He has a younger, very playful and energetic, 2 year old dachshund brother named Milo who loves playing with Zeus. He also has an amazing 2 year old human brother who absolutely adores Zeus. You can find the 3 of them always cuddling. Quirk is he thinks he’s a lap dog and will sit all 80 lbs on your lap. Recently, he injured his ankle, and after weeks in a splint, we learned he needs a partial tarsal arthrodesis surgery to fuse his joint through VCA animal hospital. Without this surgery, his leg won’t heal, and he’ll eventually lose all ability to use it. The funds raised here will go directly toward Zeus’s surgery, recovery process- bandage changes, follow up appointments, & anything else needed. Zeus is a very happy and active boy. Ever since a puppy, he loves tug of war, roughhousing and playing chase (he does not fetch lol.) Whenever there is snow on the ground he gets the zoomies. He loves his dad, but mom is of course his favorite human. He adores his Auntie Alexis, human brother Jayden and 4 legged Milo. He is the loviest bug. When mom was pregnant his head was always on her tummy. Unfortunately with all of Zeus’s pet care we have reached the end of our budget. Vet visits, splint changes, medications, overnight stays etc. This has been a very sudden major expense and we have used all of our emergency fund before even being able to get Zeus surgery.

He’s literally the baby of the family and we all love him dearly. He’s such a happy puppy up until what is going on with him now. Single mother of 5 children with no help from other parent. Castiel is a 1 year old American Shorthair in Hingham, MA, who needs $1,250 for Bladder Unblocking with Urethral Catheterization.

Hingham, MA

Cass came into my life on a whim. I had just lost my soul kitty, Venus. I thought I would never get another cat after that but I just couldn’t resist his cute face. He lives with me, my mom, and his sister Penelope, who he loves very much! He has now become a very big part of me. I’m looking for help for a bill that we acquired from an emergency bladder unblocking that Castiel underwent on 10/19 at VCA South Shore Weymouth Animal Hospital due to his Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (AKA stress bladder.) He did very well but left us with a hefty bill that we cannot afford right now. Anything would help us and our baby who is ours and Penelope’s entire heart. Cass enjoys spending time with his sister and having the zoomies together. He loves cuddling with his humans everyday. He is a very talkative kitty and will have conversations with us. He is the most loving boy. He loves spending his days sunbathing and watching the outside world from the window. My hours were unexpectedly cut significantly from work leaving me with barely any money. Castiel’s unblocking left us with a $1,250 bill that has now left us with nothing. Anything would help us to get back on our feet after this.

Mika

Mika is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Taunton, MA, who needs $7,000 for CT Scan and Rhinoscope Under General Anesthesia.

Taunton, MA

Mika is a 3 year old domestic shorthair tabby. Since April she has had severe upper respiratory congestion. Nasal constriction has produced a loud wheezing coming from her head. It is hard for her to breathe. I’ve brought her to the Vet four times for treatment and all have told me she needs a CT Scan and rhinoscope. The diagnostic testing costs up to $7000.00. Any surgery required will be more. I am seeking financial help to be able to diagnose and treat my beloved cat Mika. We share a very close bond. I’ve spent all of my savings on her veterinary care. I am frightened with her struggling to breathe. She isn’t just a cat, she’s my fur baby. The VCA SOUTHSHORE WEYMOUTH ANIMAL HOSPITAL quoted me with the cost of the testing. Mika is my “ nurse kitty”. Everytime she sees me lying in bed she paws my back to tell me to lie on my back. Then she crawls on top of me and lays across my chest and purrs. I believe she thinks her laying on me and purring heals me. She is such a comfort to me. She can always tell if I’m not feeling well or am feeling blue. Her love always makes me feel better. I am a senior citizen on Social Security that is also disabled on a fixed income.I live with my son who also struggles with a disability. Mika is like another child to me. She is a friend to my son. She is a great comfort to us and we want her to have a long and happy life.

Harley came into my life almost 5 years ago and I could not be more thankful for her. She has saved my life and I could not imagine life without her. I have been working and selling items endlessly for this procedure but rubbing short. Harley has an infection in her neck and it needs to be lanced and drained. I have meet with the emergency animal hospital at the VCA in Braintree and it could be life threatening Harley aka Kangaroo Loves when mommy and her sister comes home. She will stand on her back toes and hop like a kangaroo until you come say hi! She loves tubby time and car rides. But not too long or she will start to whine. My kids think I love her more than them and hate loves to brag by snugging her momma. I was very sick and ended up septic which left me with a surviavl rate of 30%. I survived but life has been very tough with the healing/recovery. I have been working endless and selling items in my home but I just paid a procedure for Harley that has left me with low funds

Stormy is a 7 year old German Shepherd Dog in Dorchester, MA, who needs $2,000 for Mastectomy.

Dorchester, MA

My beautiful baby’s name is Stormy. She became apart of my family in 2018 after my brother took a road trip to Pennsylvania to pick her up! We had no idea she was joining the family, especially since we had just lost our previous dog. But she became integral to our family. She loves playing soccer and any guest gets a “hello” from her with her ball! I found a lump in one of her mammary glands. We received news she was diagnosed with mammary carcinoma. Her lymph nodes have also become swollen and causing a lot of edema in her legs. We have set her up with an oncologist at Ally Speciality Vet and surgery at VCA! The plan is a mass removal, lymph node removal, and follow up chemotherapy. She is a soccer superstar! She loves tossing everyone the ball and watching their feet as they kick! She’s a tanner and in the warm months you’ll catch her somewhere soaking up the sun! She is a loving spoiled dog! She has never met someone she does not want to play with! She loves head and belly rubs! My aunt passed away in October of 2024 unexpectedly. She was the care taker for my grandma. She has since moved in with me. On top of caring for my niece and the multiple vet visits. It would mean a great deal to ensure I can give my dog all her recommended treatments!

Quincy, MA

I rescued Karizzma's mom a year ago and she gave birth to 5 beautiful puppies. Karizzma was special amd I quickly fell in love. She was v9rn on October 6, 2024. I've been taking Katizzma to VCA South Shore Hospital in Quincy. Around 3 months she formed a small bump on her head. As you can see from the pictures it has continued to grow to an enormous size. Last month they gave me an estimate of between $4000-$4500 for anesthesia, the removal of the lump, and to rake samples for cancer testing. I love all my pets as family but the way Karizzma looks at me melts my heart. I can feel all the love she has for me. She loves human attention, and plays nicely but very excited at the dog parks. She's a but timid and always looks for me for reassurance. She gets super excited when the kids come downstairs to play with her. I'm a single mother of a 19 yr old son in college and twin 13 year old daughters. I work full time for the state and also another job on weekends. This was so unexpected and it would mean everything to our family to give Karizzma a chance at a healthy life.

Gary

Gary is a 1-year-old Lab Mix in Pembroke, MA, who needs $2,000 for Oxygen and Fluid Draining.

Pembroke, MA

We rescued Gary from GA in December 2022. He was rescued with his litter mates after their mom was struck by a car. We think he’s a lab mix but also part reindeer by the way he runs and hops around. Gary is full of energy but also loves his spot infront of the fire or at the foot of the bed, but only if he can be tucked under all the blankets. Gary has quickly become a fourth child in the home but has taken a special interest in his sister, our youngest. When he wakes up in the morning he acts like he hasn’t seen you in years and is so excited to have his family. He loves car rides and knows the word “work” and that it means he gets to go with mom. Gary loves stuffies and tennis balls and can catch them both with his paws in the air. Our favorite thing about Gary is when he “frog dogs” or “long dogs” and stretches out his whole body leaving no room for anyone on the couch. He also takes the best spot infront of the fire. The way he catches balls also makes us laugh- he catches them between his paws and brings them to the ground. On 12/28 PM Gary snuck behind me when I was taking the trash out. My 6 year old heard him cry and then the sound of Tires spinning. A few minutes later I found him in the neighbors yard standing still. He had road rash and was dry heaving. He’s currently at VCA Weymouth being treated with oxygen and having fluid drained from his lungs periodically. The vet thinks he’ll be stable to go home soon. Of course everyone is struggling with the holidays just passing. We had to put $3500 down just to have him treated and he wimpy be released to us until we pay a final bill, which at this point is about $2500. Our youngest hopes Gary can come home after he gets 2 bandaids

I adopted Isabelle from a rescue when she was 7 weeks old and she saved me. She is the sweetest most loving girl. She loves everyone. She came to work with me everyday and we were together 24/7 until she started to develop a limp. Isabelle wouldn't come with me anymore. I took her to the vet they ran x-rays and didn't find anything she became depressed and can't run and she's only 18 months old. Isabelle loves running and chasing squirrels and rabbits. She wiggles her butt with so much enthusiasm when people are around. She greats everyone she sees with a huge smile and a huge wiggle. She has the best personality! She wants everyone to be happy. She is terrified of fireworks even on TV. She doesn't like violence at all. She will hide behind the couch. She is a love! Isabelle loves people! She can't resist wiggling if anyone comes to say hi. She loves treats and has the best temperament ever. If anyone plays around like they are getting hurt she will run right over to offer comfort and give kisses. She can't resist chasing those pesky squirrels that try to enter her backyard. Isabelle developed a limp at the dog park at first I thought it was just a temporary thing. I took her to the vet and they didn't find anything on xray she has an appointment for a consultation with a surgeon in September. My vet thinks it's her acl. She doesn't run anymore and she's been in a lot of pain. She needs to be lifted onto the couch or into bed. She can't jump because of her back leg. I'm a single mom and I suffer from depression. Isabelle saved my life. I went through an ugly divorce. I can't afford surgery. Isabelle and I don't go for walks or hikes because she is in so much pain and she's only 18months old. It will devastate me if I lose her.

Juju is a dog that means the world to me. I lost my mother January 10th, 2021. Soon after that, I was looking for a puppy. I found Juju, who is my mothers favorite colors and was born on the day she left this Earth. We’ve been together through thick and thin ever since, and he has had a fair share of hardships. His favorite place to sleep is under the covers next to me, or on my pillow on my head. He loves his Lab brother dearly, and is a fierce protector of everyone he loves. There is nothing he wouldn’t do to make someone smile, and he is always down for an adventure with the family! He loves to play, which he can’t do in his current state. If you know Juju, you know his little scream and bark. We call him an alien for a reason! He sounds like a siren alarm when he wants attention, and it never fails to make me giggle. I wonder how such a small dog could make such a weird noise. Juju also loves to sleep with his butt in the air, which is comical. May 31st, Juju awoke very painful in his back. He was struggling to walk, lethargic, and all over miserable. His doctor is now recommending a spinal tap and MRI to further see the issue in Jujus back. He has suspected IVDD, which is a slipped/herniated disc in his back. I have my own health conditions that have kept me out of work for the last month unexpectedly. We lost our other dog Enzo about 1.5 years ago, and then our Lab got cancer. We’ve saved and scrounged to make sure these dogs are loved and cared for, but now we need help.

Donut is about two years old. He is a supporter of my elderly parents on daily bases They are mentally broken down right now with Donut's leg injury due to being hit by a car, which caused him to fracture. Donut came into their life two years ago, he is so well-behaved, quiet, and lovely. We all love him so much. He has given us so many precious moments. He would come around to interact with us, he is always begging for snacks, hugs, and ice cream. Also, he is also friendly to little kids, and strangers and he never scratches a single thing in the house, never bitten humans. Everyone loves him. He always asks for a snuggle and stays behind them. He always jumps on the bed and sofa, quietly sitting next to my parent. When it was time for dinner, he always wanted to go to the table to eat our food together. To the best of my knowledge, My parent would not be this much happiness every day without Donut. Donut is not just a cat, he is part of our family and He meant the whole world to us. Donut was missing on 10/21. Since he got out of the house. We have been searched for him the whole night and the next day. We finally found him in the afternoon. where near my neighbor's yard. Unfortunately, he was not moving. We have taken him to the emergency room. The doctor diagnoses him that he might have been hit by a car. One of his legs has a broken bone. They need to get his leg fixed. The pretreatment and surgery are going to cost $12,000, which is something my parent cannot afford. We cannot let Donut walk with only three legs for the rest of his life since he is only two years old. The doctor said this is fixable. So, We do need all your help.

We thought she would be the best thing to help them feel happiness and safe again! Bronca is a sweetheart. Both of my children have PTSD, my daughter has a brittle bone disease and breaks very easily. Bronca knows to be careful with her. She loves to cuddle, and is an amazing emotional support to both of my kids. Her and zoeigh play like 2 puppies. Bronca will play hide and seek with zoeigh, once finding her she will pounce over her to say I FOUND YOU. My husband is our sole provider working 50+ hours a week. Our daughter is disabled and there are a lot of bills accumulating. I'm a stay at home mom due to my daughters illness and covid. We just want our baby to be out of pain. To be able to go for walks and play! Bronca was playing fetch in October 2020 with Kaitleyn. Bronca suddenly started limping back into the house. After a vet visit at VCA they recommended relaxation and some meds. After this had not been working we decided to take her to a specialist at VCA Weymouth, MA. Bronca, isn’t a pet she is our family. My children have been through so much and I can’t break their hearts by having to give her up just because I can’t afford a surgery. It wouldn’t be fair to Bronca or us. We love her. chelsea, MA

I purchased my puppy in Frederiksburg, VA. I currently live in Chelsea, MA I have a studio apartment. I am a first time pet owner and am eager to get Luxor back to 100%. She was born to a tan and chocolate Frenchie. She had 3 other siblings whom are happy and doing well in their new homes. She has been doing great here with me so far. She is very energetic and loves to play and cuddle. She is very playful! She loves to jump (hence the accident) and loves to cuddle. She does great with children as she came from a breeder with 4 children under 4 at home. I've introduced her to many people and have taken her to the dog park which she enjoys. When she is not playing she is sleeping, as most babies love to do, I was furloughed last spring due to the pandemic. I recently became employed for the school year but am digging myself out of the debt that was created due to the combination of no finances coming in and not being eligible for unemployment. Luxor is currently at the VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital- she has a broken elbow and needs surgery. As of today, she has a 105.5 fever, is vomiting, and not keeping down liquids. She may have pneumonia and/or other GI issues. She's taken a turn and I am hoping with some financial support she can get the care she needs to get back to normal. Shes special because she makes me feel important, She makes me feel like I matter. She was going to be my emotional support companion. Of all the therapies I've experienced, animal therapy helped me the most, which is why I got Luxor. Although I've only had her for a short period of time, we've created a special bond. I am devastated at what we are dealing with right now.

Hanson, MA

A reputable breeder friend from a Decadent French Bulldogs in CT contacted me when Rex’s litter was born. I fell instantly in love and reserved him instantly. My daughters and I had the summer off, so it was a perfect time to housebreak a puppy. He was close to 8 weeks old when we brought him home and he is the sweetest ever. Our 9 year old Rottweiler, Pearl, was also immediately enamored. Rex loves all the people and pets in our home. He plays with both our older dog and cat. He is doing well housebreaking and (finally) sleeps through the night in his crate. He thinks he is a big dog and already barks when someone is at the door. We love him so much, it is like he has always been here. I am a working, single mom of two beautiful girls, ages 6 and 8 with just my income. I work in education and I used to work summers before having children. By the time of the summer Rex needed surgery, my summer savings were almost depleted. Rex has a prolapsed rectum which was sewn up by Halifax Veterinarian Hospital. 7 days later, when the stitches were removed, he defecated as soon as we came home and re-prolapsed. He was sewn up again. These stitches were meant to stay in longer: however, he re-prolapsed at day 12 right through the stitches. At this time, Halifax referred us to VCA South Shore Animal Hospital for a Colopexy. Rex makes us smile ALL day. Between his fierce bravery, adorable snores and grunts, and his playful attitude; he is one of a kind. Watching him learn how to walk down stairs, playing with ice cubes, playing tug of war with his big rottie sister, and snuggling with all of us just some of the things that make us smile all day.

Unfortunately, because of everything with COVID-19, I am out of both of my jobs. I have already borrowed money from my family to cover some of what the surgery will cost, but it is not enough. Any other donations will help save my puppy and I will be so grateful! On July 14 2020, Onyx was using the stairs with her brother. She is usually an expert coming up steps, but when trying to go down she fell and broke her arm. Given the type of break, Onyx must either have surgery or an amputation. I really would like to see my girl be able to live a normal, beautiful life and get the help she needs and deserves. Onyx is a chewer. She loves playing with her ball and sit for chicken. She will give you both paws when asked. She is fully potty trained already at 13 weeks and is such a loving baby girl who deserves a chance. She's already so much ahead of her siblings. She has 2 sisters who she visits often and a daddy that she sees and loves so much.

Tai

Tai is a 6-year-old Domestic Short Hair cat in Rockland, MA, who needs $2,000 for Electrochemotherapy w/ Marginal Surgery.

Rockland, MA

My Wife and I wanted to get a kitten. When we went to pick up Tia, she was 1 of 2 of the last of the liter. We decided that they needed to stay together so we brought her sister Tamara home as well. A great decision. They have become the rulers of the house since their arrival. We are saddened to know about Tia's heath issues. Tai and her sister Tamara are always with us when we are home. They sleep with us and are more spoiled and pampered than I am. Tia seems to be the Alpha in the family. She goes where she wants with the freedom that she knows she has. She loves sitting by the open window and get fresh air and listening to the sounds outside. We are on a fixed income and with Covid, we are unable to meet the financial requirements your her treatment. We were taken back when we were given the total cost of all of the test, treatments and medications that would be needed. We need help to Tia recover. Tia wasn't herself, and we took her to the vet. Dr. Segaloff at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital diagnosed Tia with Oral Fibrosarcoma (Low Grade) followed by Electrochemotherapy They want to do marginal removal and then directed radiation. She will also need a chest x-ray and blood work prior to any surgery. They want to make sure it is not in her lungs. When Tia comes up to you and rubs up against you with a loud purr, you know she is satisfied with her life. That's why we love having pets in the house. She will take an empty toilet paper roll and play with it for hours. She will take it around the house like a newly caught mouse. She loves sleeping at the bottom of my legs at night.

HOLBROOK, MA

Everyone knows how much Evan and I love Petersen. Our lives revolve around his freckly self. He's our beach bum pal, our partner in crime, and our best friend. We have more artwork and photos of him in our house than we do of ourselves. At the end of the day, he's our baby and we would do anything for him.

Scally

Scally is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair in Hanover, MA, who needs $1,000 for perineal urethrostomy.

Hanover, MA

I got Scally from a friend who was taking care of a stray cat that was pregnant. Scally Wag was given his name from our friend and we loved it so much we kept it. Scally was born in March 2018, and we got him in June 2018 along with his brother Gizmo from the same litter. Scally Is a big part of our family and along with his cat brother he has a human brother and sister as well who both love him and are worried about him. Scally started having trouble walking and we thought he was hurt but it ended up he had an obstructed urethra which is common in male cats, we had him unblocked and after a few days in the hospital he came home, but after 12 hours of monitoring him he was eating and drinking but not urinating. The obstruction can become life threatening if it goes untreated. We have watched our crazy lovable playful cat become a cat that could barely move and it has been heartbreaking and stressful.

Ace is a 1-year-old Cane Corso in Plymouth, MA, who needs $2,000 for removal of plastic from stomach.

Plymouth, MA

I adopted Ace from Last Hope Animal Rescue about 6 moths ago. When I saw Ace’s picture on their website I knew right away he was meant for my family. I could tell how sweet he was just by his eyes. I have another dog, a golden retriever, named Bear, they are best friends. They play together all day long. Even though Ace is the bigger dog, he is a baby. He always lets Bear chew on him.
