Finnley Iris Ragnarok

Finnley Iris Ragnarok is a 8 year old Golden Retriever in Salem, OR, who needs $2,800 for Diagnostic Testing (Staging).

Salem, OR

Finley Iris Ragnarok was gifted to me during my college years. Her personality gives me Irish vibes, and something about her eyes told me her name is Finnley and the name stuck. She's been a huge part of my life for 8 years. When she's being extra sweet I like to call her Cinnamon. All in all, Finnley is a nurse dog. She's always caring for others and checking in on them, bringing joy! Hospital: Veterinary Cancer and Surgery Specialists, Milwaukee. A few months after developing a small growth on her lip (first assumed by her vets to be benign), we learned that the growing mass was cancerous. It’s been determined to be a mast cell tumor, but we don’t know what stage it’s reached. We are hoping to put together enough funds for the diagnostic testing and surgical consultation. Finnley's ideal day is being social and checking on people, while being affectionate. She enjoys double handed pets and nuzzling others. She loves being a part of the community and exploring her surroundings. She's very much a person in dog form. She has been a Lambchop lover since she was born and now cuddles with her Lamchop toys - from bite sized to a Lambchop that is almost as big as her! Navigating ongoing medical conditions throughout divorce. Finnley and I fled a DV situation and have yet to find ourselves on our feet. We are reliant on services such as food banks, etc.

Roxie

Roxie is a 8 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Portland, OR, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Remove Cancer Margins.

Portland, OR

About a month after having to put down our beloved Harlem kitty, and weeks before the COVID shutdown, I started browsing a rescue site for dogs at high-kill shelters. We knew we wanted a pittie. And while we wanted to save them all, there was one cute face that stood out! We drove to a farm to meet her. Little did we know at that time that she was rescuing us, just as much as we rescued her <3 April of 2024, an aspirate from a mass on Roxie's side (see photos) was checked and came back inconclusive. A year later, the mass had grown and started bleeding. We had the mass removed, and came back that she had a very rare form of skin cancer that can spread aggressively. Lots of imaging, additional surgery, and possible chemo will be needed, and it will be a lifelong journey. Roxie has a heart of gold. When we took her on one of her first walks, she'd whimper as we walked by houses where she could hear kids playing. We later learned that she LOVES: kids and grown-ups alike, dogs, and more than anything- ALL THE WALKS. She will cover you in stinky kisses, and possibly leave some "I don't know my size" bruising, because she's all heart. A pittie plop outside is a must. We are on a single income due to multiple factors, including Katie's layoff in tech, and multiple family emergencies that required our care. We would never ask for help if it weren't necessary. We are beyond humbled and so grateful for any help! We LOVE you all so much!!

Bentley

Bentley is a 12-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in Hillsboro, OR, who needs $2,000 for CT Scan.

Hillsboro, OR

I got Bentley 12 years ago when I lived in Seattle from a breeder who had a litter of cavalier puppies by accident. He has lived in Washington, Louisiana and now Oregon. He is an only child and he loves it that way. Bentley is the most easy going dog I have ever been around. He makes friends with every human and he thinks he’s a person. At home he enjoys watching TV and playing with his laser pointer, his alligator or a Tupperware container. Although he is 12, you couldn’t tell because he still has that zest for life and he prances around on his walks like he’s a puppy still. Bentley loves to watch TV and he barks at animals but he also enjoys a good football game, although I think he’s just waiting for an animal to pop up. He’s been watching TV since he was a little puppy and he’s never stopped. His favorite place to sleep is on my head and I usually end up giving up my pillow to him or I take a small corner of it while he stretches out. Bentley was diagnosed with CRANIAL MEDIASTINAL THYMOMA which is a form of cancer. He has a very large tumor in his chest cavity between his lungs by his heart. The treatment is surgery and the first step is a CT scan. The scan costs $3000 and the surgery is $4-$8k depending. He is being seen by Veterinary Cancer & Surgery Specialists of Oregon. I experienced a natural disaster and attempted to rebuild my home back in 2016-2017, I owe a large amount of back taxes. Bentley is my best friend and he goes everywhere with me. I literally take him everywhere with me and I can’t lose him.

Mya

Mya is a 11-year-old boxer/pit Dog in Hillsboro, OR, who needs $2,000 for double toe amputation and tumor removal.

Hillsboro, OR

I rescued Mya from an abusive truck driver when I drove trucks over the road. I had to bottle feed her for the first 2 months that she was on my truck and help her understand that not all humans where as bad as she had already experienced. It took almost a full 2 months of just tender loving care for her to trust me and my wife. Mya is so special to our family, she is currently registered as my emotional support animal and from time to time when she is not helping me with my mental health concerns she double downs and help my wife! She is a proud and glorified couch hippo and enjoys snuggling with the family whenever she can. she is the queen of guilt trips and loves her blankets and her free cups of whip cream she loves to sing to the song Who Let The Dogs Out! She gets playful and does her zoomies! whenever she hears sirens even if she is in the other room she will come check on me to make sure I'm okay. I used to be a FireFighter for 10 years and that's where a lot of my mental health concerns stem from! Mya was diagnosed with cancer! She has a low grade mass cell tumor in her paw. Right now she is facing 2 toes being amputated as long as we do the surgery soon if the cancer spreads we may be facing the possibility of a whole paw and or leg Hillsboro Veterinary Clinic ( Primary Vet) Veterinary Cancer & Surgery Specialists (Oncologist and surgery team) Currently I'm the only one working, my wife lost her job in January trying to ask for a raise. I'm working as hard as I can and it still doesn't seem like enough. To see her being able to walk with no problems would literally make me cry tears of happiness

Stella

Stella is a 14 year-old Shepherd mix in Portland, OR who needs $3,300 for tumor removal and biopsy.

Portland, OR

She was found in a shelter in Colorado 13 years ago. When I saw her I couldn’t believe my eyes. She was a once in a lifetime unicorn companion... A white corgi Shepard (how in the world did that happen?!) She instantly stole my heart. She was only a few months old and I knew she’d be mine forever. She has been the only consistent relationship in my life (seeing me through moving cross country, breakups, life events all the triumph and tragedy as life continues to unfold) often she was the only companion I had. She is incredibly intelligent, loving and affectionate. Every day I continue to be amazed by her and do all the people who are close to her. She’s my “fur baby” and only child.... amazingly, although in dog years she is considered “older” she has the spunk of a much younger dog (see video:this was a few months ago-not bad for a old lady?!). Recently I noticed a large lump on her from right leg. I took her to a veterinary clinic and was referred to an pet oncologist. He said that the initial biopsy of the tumor was to vague to gather exact information about the cell structure) but the tumor needed removing. The estimated bill was upwards of $4,000. The tumor has been growing larger and affecting her walking a little. My hope is to have it removed sooner then later. With your help, I hope she can continue to live a tumor free, full life with me for many years to come. Thank you for your help and support... I promise to pay it forward.
