Colombo

Colombo is a 10 year old Poodle in Rancho Palos Verdes , CA, who needs $15,000 for Oxygen Therapy for Pneumothorax & Trauma.

Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

Colombo was a gift from my mom when we were 10, along with his two sisters — inseparable to this day. Named by a cousin who saw how curious and affectionate he was, like Lieutenant Colombo. He's the protective, loving big brother of the three, always the first for cuddles, and cries when we leave for work or school. A core, comforting member of our family for over a decade. This is an emergency. Colombo suddenly had labored breathing after we let him out, likely from a coyote encounter. He's at Veterinary Emergency Group in Torrance with a small pneumothorax and severe soft tissue trauma to his neck, currently in an oxygen chamber. He's alert and himself, expected to fully recover, but faces overnight monitoring, medication, and possibly more hospital stays. Colombo is a total cuddle bug who wants his family close — anxious in the car unless someone sits with him, and won't sleep without his sister by his side. He howls if my brother fake-growls at him, and sleeps sprawled out like he's playing dead. He's deeply empathetic, always sensing when I'm down. When any of us comes home, he's first at the door, jumping and slobbering with excitement. This hits during a devastating time, my parents are burying my dad's childhood best friend and his wife, who died days apart, tmr shouldering the cost alone. My brother's in college, I just graduated; we're stretched thin. Colombo's bills have pushed us past what we can bear.

Mr. Pickles

Mr. Pickles is a 4 year old Dachshund in Long Beach, CA, who needs $12,000 for MRI, Surgery & 8wk Post-Op Rehab for IVDD.

Long Beach, CA

We met Mr. Pickles over 4 years ago when he was a baby. There was a dog trainer who was looking to find a good home for him and from the moment Lennet laid eyes on his photo, she knew he was the one! Michael chose his name and it fits so perfectly for his goofy personality. He just got to meet his new brother Mr. Pugsley a week before he started having issues and he's not ready to go anywhere. Mr. Pickles started showing symptoms of IVDD on 2/7/26 and it has unfortunately progressed rapidly. We are working with Access Emergency Hospital in Torrance, California to try and figure out a way to get Mr. Pickles his MRIs, surgery, and post-op care. Mr. Pickles and his Pikachu are inserpeable. He loves playing paws with us and going on long walks with dad! It's his favorite! He isn't afraid of anything! Unless you have a mop or celebrating 4th of July. Mr. Pickles has so much personality and even now that he's not doing well, all he wants to do is play and be active. He knows when you're sad or not well and will always be there to support you Unfortunately right now, Lennet is on fixed income and I am searching for work after graduating with my AA in software development. It has been a tough road, but we are trying. And we don't want to lose our boy along the way. He means the world to us.

Pixie

Pixie is a 7 Year Old Mix-Breed in Redondo Beach, CA, Who Needs $10,000 for Cystotomy.

redondo beach, CA

One day I was on the next-door app and I saw a post that a woman rescued a cat and gave birth then following day. She had five kittens in her litter. I was looking for a companion for my other rescue so she would have company. This cute little baby pixie came into our lives and made us a little family. My two girls are best friends and love each other so affectionately. Plus, she’s very talkative. About five weeks ago, I noticed that pixie was blood. I took her to the vet and try a couple treatments, but nothing resolved the issue. After a specialist did an ultrasound on her we discovered 4 large stones in her bladder. Now she needs emergency surgery to get them removed. She is such a trooper, but I know she’s in so much pain. Other than this, she’s 100% healthy. She’s also only 7 yrs old😢 There is never a dull moment with pixie around. She’s super talkative and loves to play. My other cat and her are so in love and adore each other. They are truly best friends. She is the typical cat that likes to lay right next to you but may murder you if you try and pick her up 😅. She loves getting her belly rubbed, and her paws rubbed, basically she loves being rubbed everywhere. Shes my baby. Pixie has always been healthy, so pet insurance was off the table.I am also on a fixed income and desperately trying to find a way to help finance this $10,000 emergency surgery. My kitties are my kids, I love them more than anything! Any support is greatly appreciated ❤

Ari

Ari is a 7 year old Papillon in Norwalk, CA, who needs $2,000 for Splenectomy and Biopsy.

Norwalk, CA

I always dreamed of having a dog growing up, but my parents never allowed it. Years later, after I had my son, I realized how much I wanted him to experience the love and companionship I missed. Since he is an only child, we adopted Ari so he could have a little “sister” to grow up with. She’s been a part of our family ever since, filling our home with love, laughter, and comfort. Ari was recently found to have fluid buildup and a mass in her abdomen. Our vet suspects hemangiosarcoma, but we won’t know for sure until surgery is done to remove part of the mass for biopsy. We’ve already spent over $4,300 as it happened during memorial day weekend, everything being regarded as emergency care, and can’t afford the next steps. We’re desperate for help. Ari is the sweetest soul — so gentle, patient, and kind. She’s never had much in life, yet she gives so much love. She never demands anything, and always waits quietly, grateful for every little moment with us. At just seven years old, she deserves so much more time, more joy, and more comfort than she’s had. She truly is the heart of our family. We’ve already spent over $4,300 trying to save Ari, and now we’re simply out of options. This was completely unexpected, and we don’t have the emergency savings to cover surgery. Asking for help is hard, but Ari means everything to us. We just want to give her a chance to li

Munchie

Munchie is a 5-year-old Rat Terrier in San Pedro, CA, who needs $2,000 for Antibiotic Regiment and Hospitalization.

san pedro, CA

"Munchie thrives in the warmth of our family, including my boyfriend, our daughter, and his sister Savvy, with Sal, our spirited White Fronted Amazon Parrot, adding to our lively home. Despite his current hospitalization, Munchie’s heart remains with us, eager for more days filled with love, play, and the little adventures that make our family whole. "Munchie, our rat terrier, is the heart of our home—blending love, protection, and playful hunting instincts. His unwavering loyalty and spirited nature brighten our lives, fostering a bond filled with joy and laughter. As a tender companion and vigilant guardian, Munchie's presence is a daily reminder of the simple joys in life Munchie, our small terrier, has the strut of a 50lb pitbull, walking with chest puffed and confidence that fills the room. His humorous swagger and the way he looks at us, with eyes that seem almost human, reveal the depth of his soul. His gaze can at times be unnerving when he gives us his look of disapproval. Munchie is currently experiencing renal failure and anemia caused by leptospirosis. Leptospirosis is a blood infection caused by the bacteria Leptospira[8] that can infect humans, dogs, rodents and many other wild and domesticated animals.[8] Signs and symptoms can range from none to mild (headaches, muscle pains, and fevers) to severe (bleeding in the lungs or meningitis). We are currently operating a home based cleaning business that is in the process of growing which has put us in a less than able position to pay for the costs of his treatments. Just getting him admitted cost us $7,200 which we were able to finance.

Shady

Shady is a 14-year-old Poodle/Terrier mix in Lawndale, CA, who needs $2,000 for Diagnostic Tests.

Lawndale

I bought Shady when he was a puppy at 2months old in 2010/2011. He was sick when I adopted him and I nursed him back to a healthy state. He has been a part of my family for 12 years and loves us very much. He and our other dog Chloe (terrier) have been inseparable ever since (even though they fight with each other and are jealous of each other at times. Shady loves us unconditionally and is gentle kind soul. I look into his eyes and I can see the love that he omits to us no matter what! He is always excited to see all of other family members and he loves any one he meets. He is a loving do and has been through a lot of health issues and it break my heart because he was diagnosed with cancer (Soft tissue sarcoma) Shady is special because he loves all creatures! And honestly every animal is special in my eyes! Shady is a gentle creature that LOVES unconditionally and that should be enough to be special! But one thing is that he does have a jealous nature because he wants to be petted first! Shady was diagnosed with Soft tissue sarcoma (CANCER) and it was removed but it was graded as grade 2. The vet is unsure if it has spread throughout the body. The surgery cost $2000 that was put on my sisters credit card that she can’t afford. I was told by the vet that Shady needs to see an oncologist for further evaluation that I can’t afford because I’m currently unemployed. I lost my job in 2020 business of the pandemic. I decided to go back to school to study healthcare and I recently just graduated in June. I am currently studying for my RHIT exam but it’s been hard to find employment in my field because I have no experience in healthcare.
