Fiona is a 5 Year Old Mix-Breed in Crestwood, IL, Who Needs $2,000 for Extraction Therapy.

I adopted Fiona from Tender Loving Care Animal Shelter on October 22,2022. I kept her name as I thought it was a pretty name and different for a cat. We have been together for 3 years now and have developed a close bond in those 3 years. She loves to play and get my attention. She enjoys laying on my lap which brings her comfort. She has a wonderful character and enjoys her home and life. On December 2, 2025 I took Fiona to the Veterinary Dental Center in Aurora, IL for a consultation of her teeth. Fiona’s regular vet at Banfield Pet Hospital recommended this center as she developed serious issues with her gums. Fiona has severe gingivitis in all 4 quadrants, inner lip inflammation/fibrosis and sores in the back of her throat. She requires all of her teeth removed to the problem Fiona loves her catnip toys. I give her regular catnip which she loves. She will even eat some of the catnip. She is afraid of thunder and will come close to me for comfort and will go in a safe place to get away from the sound. She loves sitting on the balcony in the warm months. She loves to have her head rubbed and will nudge me to do so. It is quite cute as she enjoys this. This was an unexpected expense and news about Fiona’s teeth that they need to all be extracted to combat the disease. I’m retired and on a fixed income. I work part time for added income. My savings is not enough to cover the cost to extract Fiona’s teeth as she needs.

So he is now part of our family We are so happy to have him in our family, sweetest soul I know in a pet, lives for fetch but no longer can pick up his ball, we need to help him We took Willy to Veterinary Dental Center in Aurora as we were Recommended by our vet veterinarian. Willie needs extensive dental care, cleaning, and extractions that we weren't quite prepared for. This is a procedure. We really don't wanna put it off too long as he's already been waiting longer than he should have please. We will need your help to get his procedure done in a timely manner.. Willie has 2 dog sisters loves everyone he meets,and tends to gravitate to the people and pets who need him most. He's outgoing,friendly and gravitates to the person who needs some emotional support, he will come and sit by you and stay there for as long as you need him., we want to keep Willie with us for as long as we can,, he's having a hard time being himself from the pain of his mouth. We brought Willy into our home as we have the yard and better means to provide than his previous family, although we were not prepared for this kind of medical expense, we thought a teeth cleaning sure, not quite all the extractions they are recommending. Rocko came into my life right before my best friend Buster passed away. He has been a joy ever since. He runs to me when i get home and loves giving puppy kisses. He lives with 2 disabled veterans who need him around. He is the brightest dog and makes the room happy and bright when hes running from person to person asking for love. On 12/12 he got into a fight with another dog and rocko got his jaw broken. Its a compound fracture meaning his jaw bone is now in his mouth. He needs surgery to make a full recovery. He is very lucky and so am i that he wasnt hurt more or we wouldnt have him here today. He needs the surgery at Veterinary Dental Center Rocko is the sweetest chihuahua you ever met. Anyone who's ever met him says hes the quitest one they ever seen. Loves you to bits and never stops being there for you. Always wants pets or attention and loves being held like a baby. He is my best little baby buddy and i need him healthy and happy. I will do anything for him because i believe he would do whatever it took to take care of me. I am a 100% disabled veteran on a fixed income. Having a huge medical bill right before christmas with a large family has hit us hard. I am at the end of my financial rope and am hanging by a whisker. I need him whole again as he is the one being i can count on to be there.

I got Ella from the local county pound. My dog I had for 15 yrs had passed away a few months before and our other dog was missing her and lonely. I saw Ella sitting so quietly next to another dog who was going crazy. She had her tongue stuck out and she was so cute. When they took her out of the cage I saw how much she was in bad shape. Ear infections in both ears. She had been hit by a car. Ella's canine tooth broke and she has a mass growing in her mouth. The local vet would not operate on her and referred us to a specialist. She wants to be right with you all the time. Her and her brother play all the time. My other dog has gotten so much more confident since Ella came to us. I am getting a divorce. So, i have just my income from two part time jobs. I am on public assistance. I have pet insurance but not enough. I am 2000.00 short. If wait too long. Her tooth will become infected and them the situation will be worse.

Dexter is a 10 year old pug.Dexter came from a lady who bred her pugs in a town outside of Detroit,MI.I’ve had him since he was a puppy. We had lost our last pug to pancreatitis and I adopted what would be Dexter’s Sister Tilly from a shelter but just knew we still missed our pug breed. Dexter has always been the cuddler and the one to scratch you when he wants to be pet. Dexter got diagnosed Diabetic in October 2022.In August 2023 he went Blind from the Diabetes.Dexter needs a serious dental that is affecting his blood glucose levels.He needs to go to the Veterinary Dental Center due to having abscess in his gums in his pass dental history.I’m just very worried about his health having him wait any longer. Dexter definitely is a character he made friends with our neighbor who was afraid of dogs and he talks with her in his own pug language.Dexter is extremely obsessed with his vegetables since becoming diabetic he loves his vegetable plates.He is the sweetest boy and loves to scratch you with his paw for pets.He also loves to howl at times as well. Dexter’s monthly expenses are very costly for his normal care.I became disabled in 2018.So I lost a lot of benefits there.My parents help as much as possible.I feel so bad that I can’t do all I can.Care Credit is Maxed from past procedures as well.
Sprinkles

Sprinkles is a stray cat that I rescued 9 months ago. She randomly came up to me one summer night and we instantly bonded. She had fleas, worms, a skin infection, ear infection, and gingivitis. I nursed her back to health as quickly as I could despite her broken teeth. Sprinkles is the sweetest baby girl and she means everything to me. I want to make sure she has the best life possible now. Sprinkles had a dental cleaning for the gingivitis at Banfield pet hospital. A few of her teeth fell out during the dental cleaning. The vet performed x-rays on Sprinkles and we found out she has multiple broken teeth on the bottom. I am not sure if this was from some type of trauma while she was a stray. Sprinkles displays some discomfort to her mouth at times but soft food does help. Sprinkles made me a cat mom again. I can’t imagine a life without her. She is friendly to everyone she encounters and is very vocal. She loves head rubs and will rub her head all over you. She loves attention and she loves playing with the laser toy. Sprinkles also loves to play with strings (safely). They are one of her favorite toys. Sprinkles may need multiple teeth extracted and it is very costly. The broken teeth can cause a dental infection if left untreated and I do not want that to happen. I want my baby girl to be as healthy as she possible can. She finally has the life that she deserves.

Our beloved Chloe was adopted from the Animal Cruelty Society in 2007. She has given us 15 of our best years while being our only pet. Although she loves to look outside she’s a house animal. Chloe is queen lol no seriously she is a celebrity in our family. She of course have multiple beds but her favorite place to sleep is on the end of her mommy bed. She has grown with her three human siblings since their ages of 14,10,and 4. Now they are 29,25,and 20. Paloma came into our life's 5 years ago. our neighbor's dog got pregnant and had puppies. she is the only family dog of the household. we named her Paloma because Paloma in English means Dove. Due to her white coat, we believed was a perfect match. she is soo spoiled with toys, and a closet of clothing! Paloma has her own "apartment" she has access to the entire basement, where she sleeps, plays, etc. she loves to go for walks but somehow is scared of the harness.. we all say that all she needs is to speak because she is so intelligent. she is also bilingual! she understand commands in spanish and english. she does not like nor care for any water activities. Paloma is so spoiled that she gets her ice cream in the summer and frozen fruit to cool down. she also loves the snow. which is funny because she blends in and all you see are the 3 dots; her nose, and 2 eyeballs. LOL. she loves to be carried. she loves to cuddle. she loves to play with her toys fetch and tug a war. Paloma has a benign mass rapidly growing from her front bottom jaw. The veterinary dental specialist informed us that she needs a mandibulectomy. The only way to save her life is by performing the surgery to which also implies removing part of her bottom jaw bone. There's no way to know how it initiated, we were told by our general practitioner that its sometimes due to cell mutations. This was an unexpected urgent expense that we are not financially prepared for. She is our life and our family bond, our companion. She is to young to be going through this, but with this surgery she is expected to live a healthy life.

We purchased our greyhound puppy “Miles Prower” from the Greyt family in Texas. Our son always wanted a puppy and asked for one on his 5th birthday, so when he arrived home we were all so excited to meet him and welcome him to the family. He got along great with our older German shepherd dog. And has brought everyone lots of joy. Miles is the sweetest little dog ever! He’s friendly to everyone and all he wants to do is lock you and run around and have fun. He loves to sit on our lap and watch movies with us and in the morning when we sleep in he will hop into bed right next to us and sleep in with us until we wake up. He also loves to run in the grass and will sprint at full speeds while you play fetch with him. Miles is the kind of dog that is always happy, he loves to run and occasionally gets the zoomies. He loves to eat and eats more food than our large German shepherd! He amazes me at how fast he is when playing keep away with a tennis ball! I have never been able to catch him, but all you have to do is simply ask and he is happy to hand over the ball so you can play fetch with him again. Recently miles had a small accident and has chipped two of his teeth, one of those teeth is the upper left canine(204) which is the largest tooth in his mouth and very important, he will require dental surgery and the hospital that will be treating him is The Veterinary Dental Center. It would mean a lot to us and Miles to have his teeth back to normal with no pain. The cost of this surgery was an extremely unexpected large cost to us that we are finding hard to cover being on our fixed income while already raising a family.

Toothless showed up in my backyard after my freshman year of college...and then never left! She was a stray cat that I was lightly feeding and I truly believe that she adopted me. We currently live in our tiny apartment with 2 other cats, who Toothless pretends she hates but truly loves more than anything. Toothless is the cuddle bug of the family, the calm one who brings us peace. She is very quiet, and you almost never know she's in the room until she is taking up all the blanket space and purring louder than a helicopter. She is the protector of her cat siblings, grooming them until they move an inch and in true Spooks fashion she has to run and hide until it's safe to groom again! Toothless' nickname is Spooks! While she is a black cat, she is the one scared of absolutely EVERYTHING. Her favorite hiding spot is in my dresser drawers, which she has a habit of getting stuck behind (see video for details)! She has conquered her fear of stuffed animals, flushing toilets, electric toothbrushes, and most recently the sound of packages opening. I'm always eager to see what's next. She has to have 4-6 teeth extracted. Within a month she has lost 2+ pounds, her gums are swollen to 3x their regular size, and her tongue can't fit in her mouth due to the swelling. Toothless has started to drool in her sleep, is dropping food while she's eating, and no longer chews hard food instead she swallows it whole. She is wasting away because her mouth is too painful to let her eat. Toothless' bill will be between $2300-$3000. I lost my job 10/20 and had to use my savings to pay rent and bills in November, meaning I have nothing left over for Toothless' surgery or pain medications. Having her healthy again would be giving me my best friend back.

Jasper came into my life 10 years ago when he was 12 weeks old and after I lost my 3 1/2 legged Tipsy. So I guess you can say that he rescued me. When we were trying to come up with a name, my daughter was thinking something from Harry Potter. That is when I decided to name him after my favorite Twilight character. Jasper goes up stairs backwards. Jasper likes to run off but never goes far. All I have to do is set off my car alarm and he comes running back because he thinks he's going for a car ride. He sleeps in 4 places: with me...on one of his beds...in his mancave..or the laundry basket. He won't go out if it is raining because he hates to get wet, but he loves to play in the snow. His favorite foos pizza and his favorite treat is FD minnows This was an unexpected issue that I have no savings for. Jasper was my physical therapy assistant after my knee replacements(he kept me walking). It kills me that I'm unable to help him get this taken care of as soon as possible. Jasper is my best friend. Jasper has developed an aggressive tumor in his mouth that is just going to keep on growing. It is not bothering him yet but the bigger it gets it will. It could eventually become hard for him to eat or drink. He is being treated at Veterinary Dental Center. I live alone and Jasper is my world. Jasper loves my daughter, but when her husband is around nobody exists...lol. He has a "friend" Sasha. I come home from work to the BEST greetings. Then we go for a walk or to his favorite park. Jasper has 2 baskets full of toys because he gets barkbox. Sometimes we share them with his "cousins" at my daughter's. He likes to "help" with laundry dry by laying on the pile of hot clothes.

This is my first baby boy Mister. I had Mister since birth. Both of his parents were rescued pets who happened to mate and gave me my handsome boy. He was the only puppy I seen be born and I almost lost him at birth due to him being born in the sac and not being able to breath on his own at first. Luckily he pulled through and has been health and happy ever since. Mister is a big brother to 3 year old Jaidyn and 1 year Sebastian. He’s very loving and playful with both kids and not mention protective. Mister sleeps right at the door of his little brothers bedroom. He’s never been aggressive towards the children even when they weren’t the nicest to him. He’s always maintained his composure around them. I am requesting for help. I applied for Credit Care which i did not quality for much at all. I am a single mother of 2 boys trying to make ends meet. I never had to do something like this but for my Mister I am saying all of my options. Mister has been recently attacked by another dog that left his jaw fractured. I’ve taken him to 2 vets Midwest Vet clinic in Orland Park, IL and MedVet in Chicago,IL. Unfortunately due to the severity of his wounds, Mister would need surgery that can cause up to $6000 in bills. Right now all I have available are pain meds and antibiotics for 10 days to make Mister as comfortable as possible. Mister has always been an amazing dog. Was easy to potty trained. He has always been playful and very loving. He’s always well aware of his surroundings and notifies us when something doesn’t seem right. He’s always been my protector, even as a little puppy. Mister has never had health issues. So this is a first for us.

My PRICELESS MAGNIFICENT AWESOME AMAZING SPECTACULAR BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL baby boy, Mr. Giggles, was delivered to me by God in Nov. 2009!! 😻😻😻 I was there the day he popped out!! 😍😍😍 He's by far the BEST earthly gift, miracle & blessing God has ever given me!! (James 1:17, Ephesians 3:20-21❤) 🎁🎁🎁 Little did I know, changing his glass feeding bowls to plastic when he was almost 3, was the WORST decision i could have made!! 😭😭😭 He chronically threw up for over 5 years and nobody could tell me why!! Stupid me realized it was the plastic bowls that was causing the horrific daily vomiting all along, after i finally switched to a different kind of bowl!! I can't describe how angry I am at myself for not realizing it years sooner and even worse that i switched to plastic in the first place!! 😭😭😭 My heart SCREAMED in tears every time I heard him puking and I felt so STUPID and helpless because nobody else had any answers either. I've struggled with my own chronic med problems for over 26 years now, which has been incredibly hard to deal with but I owe EVERYTHING to God!! He's saved my life a zillion times!! PRAISE JESUS!! In 2015 my health got even worse and I haven't been able to work since then. I noticed Mr. Giggles started feeling heavy which wasn't normal for him as he's always been a slim, 10 lb cat. I went 3.5 years without income after being illegally fired for filing a WComp claim from a restaurant injury. It was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!! I had Drs to support my claim but the evil restaurant refused to pay for my treatment. I had exploratory surgery in 2017 which found a lot of new med problems but didn't fix the pain. Giggs started getting really bad in 2018 (looking back now, I know was a result of the chronic vomitting!! 😭😭😭) That's when God led me to change his bowls which stopped the nasty horrendous puking and I was blessed with some $ to take him to a vet for a checkup. He was incredibly bloated, constipated and dehydrated at that point. He was also crying horribly when urinating!! He was given lactulose but it was NOT fixing the underlying issues!! I kept vet hopping all over the place because no vet was listening to me or helping my boy!! They just kept giving him medications that were NOT helping and making him sick!! 😭😭😭 It has become the WORST nightmare of my life!!! I have poured out any $ i did have and borrowed from friends trying to find answers. It's been ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING to know how badly my boy has been neglected. The vets were not listening but continued to take my $ for follow up appts, only to tell me, "he's just overweight, has arthritis or i don't know." 😭😭😭😭 When I told them major symptoms, I was brushed off. When i told a vet in early 2019 that he has horrific bad breath, slimy & discolored gums..i was ignored yet again. He said Giggs had lost a lot of teeth but didn't do anything else. I finally found another vet after going through 10 other bad ones, and she told me Giggs had a upper canine cavity and dental disease/gingivitis. Thou I was pretty upset because i wasn't given any answers in what to do next. In Feb of this year, I found out his chest congestion that i wasn't informed about in Nov. 2019, had gotten worse!! His belly bloat has gotten severely worse as well and he started drooling and licking his mouth pretty bad. His constipation and dehydration were still INCREDIBLY bad as well!! He's become dependent on me to give him water from a dish in my hands every couple hours. 😭😭😭 I LOVE taking care of him but this is NOT normal. He's like an infant. It's breaking my heart!!! 😭😭😭 I prayed and God led me to get azithromycin for his mouth and chest congestion. For the first 2 months, I saw INCREDIBLE progress!!! His bad breath cleared up and he was a pooping machine!!! I was overwhelmed with joy!!! Unfortunately, that great happiness was short lived. It was obvious he had infection all around. But his tummy bloat, pee crying and dehydration never went away. I prayed again and God told me he needed dentist. I typed in "best veterinary dentist near me," and God immediately directed it to Dr. Juriga. I was overwhelmed in MASSIVE excitement after reading about him and his wonderful reviews!!! I KNOW he is the ANSWER I've been relentlessly searching and praying for!!! 🙏🙏🙏 Here I am almost 8 years later from when this NIGHTMARE started and i can't stop CRYING!! 😭😭😭 My body continues to SCREAM in agony but even WORSE Giggs keeps getting WORSE and I don't have the $ for his dental work. I became unable to work in 2015 and had to wait til almost 2019 to receive compensation. I owed a ton of people $ from helping me all the previous years and I've poured out my $ taking Mr. Giggles to a ton of vet appointments, vitamins and food. There's NOTHING i wouldn't do to help my baby boy!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😍😍😍😍 I'm just praying with EVERYTHING I am for help right now!! I'm at my breaking point. 💔💔💔 I feel INCREDIBLY STUPID for saying that but I'm being honest. I'm so beyond EXHAUSTED!! I cry nonstop, I can't sleep well at all and my heart is SCREAMING INFINITE tears for help!! 🆘🆘🆘 I can't stand to see him suffer or be sick for one more second!!!! It's been a suffocating evil NIGHTMARE!!! 😭😭😭😭 He'll be 11 this November and I'm BEGGING God and you all for help. I can't breathe. 🤢🤢🤢 I'm also praying for a MIRACLE to get new flooring and clean out the air vents, they are both SO dirty!! I had to move and the preexisting carpet is DISGUSTING and vents blow out so much dust!! Maybe a new bed too, lol. Im still sleeping on my little sister's 3/4 bed she had in the 80's. 😞😞😞 I hate that my baby has to walk on the nasty carpet and my room is like a sauna in here, it's so hot!! I'm so sorry for complaining but I'm so tired. 😵😵😵 I have selfishly asked God to let me die, innumerable times, but that's so INCREDIBLY selfish!!! I can NOT leave my baby boy without his mommy!! My heart bleeds to serve God and help others!!! I pray to be fully healed from my own physical misery so I can go out in the world and help others!! God is calling is all to do so!! (Mark 12:30-31❤) Mr. Giggles is MY priceless baby boy!! He's glued to my hip!! He's a HUGE BLESSING & I LOVE LOVE LOVE him more than I can say!! (Times Infinity!!)
