Smokie Norton is a community cat who recently showed up at my apartment complex. When I first saw him, he appeared healthy but was being harassed by a dominant neighborhood tom. Over the next couple of days, he began limping and crying in pain. I started feeding him, gained his trust, and worked for days to safely trap him so he could get medical help Smokie Norton has a serious leg wound consistent with an infected bite injury from a fight with another cat. These wounds can become life-threatening without prompt treatment. He needs an exam, wound cleaning, antibiotics, and pain management. Smokie is being taken to VEG ER for Pets for evaluation and treatment. Although Smokie is a stray, he is gentle, observant, and clearly trying to survive despite his pain. He follows from a distance, watches carefully, and slowly learned to trust me enough to come near the trap. His resilience and quiet determination stood out, and once injured, he continued seeking help instead of hiding As a community cat, Smokie has no owner or financial support. Unexpected emergency veterinary care is costly, and I cannot cover this expense alone. Zoey was found as a stray—bleeding, exhausted, and clinging to life with five newborns. A Good Samaritan rushed her to Veterinary Emergency Group (Dallas, TX), where she defied the odds and survived a risky surgery. Despite multiple post surgery complications, she’s attempting to heal in foster care, fiercely devoted to her babies and fighting for the chance to raise them. Zoey, a stray mom cat, was brought to VEG ER for Pets (Dallas) by a Good Samaritan with a prolapsed uterus, dehydration, and anemia. Despite surviving emergency surgery, her incision rapidly reopened twice with deep infection, requiring two more ER visits and emergency repairs to keep her from sepsis. Bacterial cultures were sent out as well in hopes to narrow down why this is happening. Zoey is an incredible mom—gentle, attentive, and deeply bonded to her babies. Even after surgery, she struggles to rest unless they’re nearby. She lights up during cuddle visits and watches over them lovingly. Her devotion shows just how special and strong she truly is. Intaking Zoey has turned into spending 16+ hours in ER and $1500 in revisions - not counting follow ups. We’re out of funds and facing more costs. He now lives with me in a stable, loving home where he’s cherished and well cared for. He’s playful, intuitive, and deeply bonded to our family. Bodie is experiencing frequent diarrhea mixed with blood, which may be connected to a prior diagnosis of Ehrlichia—a tick-borne illness he contracted before I rescued him. His symptoms could indicate intestinal inflammation or internal bleeding and require urgent medical care. I plan to take him to Vickery Place Animal Hospital in Dallas for evaluation and treatment. I’ve been denied financing opt Bodie is deeply intuitive, silly, and full of love. He brings toys as gifts (not for fetch!) and treats plush animals like real friends. I am a disabled senior citizen on a fixed income. My living conditions are marginal at best. A terrible scent coming from the exterminators and buildings guests, possibly the cause. So, I allowed Domino to go outside to survive. The next morning, I noticed that he had been injured, after I let him indoors. Domino is an intelligent, companion, service animal. Please contribute to help him. I intend to seek care for Domino at 24 Emergency Vet on Central Expressway, Dallas, Texas. The dew pads of his front paws were removed. The bones inside 3 legs are injured and the other front leg seems sprained. His right side seemed slightly shave indicating, possible, administering of some drug. He had not cried out much, no more the when he has tummy aches. He was sleepy & disoriented, also Domino is active about household duties, like he understands me. He knows the daily routines. He had a meow song for when I should clean his litter box. He accompanies me around the nearby patio and to the door, when I come and go from our house. He has a special signal for when he wants to be petted, he reaches out and touches me with his paw. He, even, prays. He kisses by rubbing noses. The wounds need care, urgently. He hides his pain and cries when I am out of his sight. I fear infection of the wounds and would like to know what happened. Conditions could worsen or become life threatening. I cannot afford the medical care that Domino needs, right now.

Marla's past is a bit of a mystery, but one thing is clear - this sweet soul has suffered immense trauma. She was found with bleeding maggot-filled open wounds and her mouth would not close. New Life Cat Rescue spent two days working to safely trap Marla who was in immense pain, terrified, and struggling to survive on the streets. They were determined to help Marla no matter how long it took to gain her trust. X-rays confirmed that Marla's jaw was severely broken but, unfortunately, there was more bad news. She also had broken ribs and a pelvic fracture - injuries that are consistent with being hit by a car. Marla will need intensive care and monitoring, pain management, hand feeding, constant vet rechecks, and may need jaw and pelvic surgery. New Life Cat Rescue knows Marla's road to recovery will be long and difficult, but they are committed to giving Marla her best chance at a new life. Remember when I said I was being a bad boy and got in the trash well I got be ate a couple feminine hygiene products and having a bit of trouble digesting it. I’ve been non stop vomiting and my puke smells skinny like poop. I haven’t gone potty in a while or ate any food. Hes a live bug and i can not imagine our lives without him. My daughter is absolutely crushed that he is not doing well. Comet is a talker. He loves to intrract with you and even seems to hold conversation with you about whatever you need him to listen to. He follows us around like a little shadow and jumps on any opportunity to steal a kiss or get some love. He lives to give your nose a kiss. 3 days ago Comet seemed down however he was still eating and drinking Last night he took a turn for the worst and became lethargic. I rushed him to Vet Hospital wherr they discovered he has a Urinary obstruction and he is critical. They want to keep him 2-3 days to ensure his recovery. He is currently at Dallas Urgent care off Stemmons Freeway in Dallas. I am disabled and unable to work in addition to taking care of my daughter who has a medical condition. I am on a fixed income of only disability. I desperately need help to get my Comet well and back home with us. My daughter needs his daily companionship.
