Taz

Taz is a 11 Year Old Maltese in Alpharetta, GA, Who Needs $2,000 for Blood Transfusion/Mass Removal.

Alpharetta, GA

I actually got Taz for my mom when I was wrongfully diagnosed with stage 4 cancer as a companion. We found him in a parking lot on the way from ATL to NJ from a guy in a sketchy van. He went two weeks without a name until we realized he was basically a Tasmanian Devil—tearing up my room, spinning, and screaming just like the real Taz. He’s been our chaotic little fluff ever since. Taz recently had a sudden medical emergency—he’s losing blood from an ulcer and now needs a transfusion and corrective surgery as soon as possible. He went from being a happy, energetic old-man-puppy to barely being able to lift his head. We’re doing everything we can to help him recover. What can I say… Taz is the man, the pup, the tinkler, the spinner, the Lamb Chop humper, the smack-talker…the legend. He lights up everyone’s day. Even now, the vet said he’s the happiest sick dog she’s ever met and fell in love with him instantly. He’s truly special, and he means the absolute world to us. Taz is our heart, our laughter, our comfort when we feel low and our joy at the door! I’ve been battling a chronic condition, and multiple surgeries have drained us financially. Any help means more than words. We can’t imagine our home without his banter. He gives us strength, and he truly holds our little family together.

Photo of Nova

Nova

Nova is a 5 Month Old Labrador Retriever in Cumming, GA, Who Needs $605 for Fluids, Prescription Food, and Probiotics.

Cumming, GA

Nova came from a service dog breeder and trainer in Mississippi! She will be trained as my personal cardiac and mobility support dog! She lives with me and my fiancé in Cumming, Georgia where she is loved, adored, and cherished by both of us full time! Her AKC name is Black Velvet Supernova, and she lives up to the meaning of it: she’s bright, beautiful, inspiring, and chaotic! Nova is in the thick of teething, and this girl goes big or goes home. She lost almost 7 teeth in a week, swallow most of them and the blood. Because of this, she developed gastroenteritis and needed treatment for dehydration (due to diarrhea) and extended treatment with prescription food and probiotics. Her breeder also suggested changing her main food to help support a healthier gut biome. Nova is a blessing I never thought I would have. I fought for my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome diagnosis for most of my adult life. Another service dog was crucial to being diagnosed and helped me see the independence and support I could achieve with my own service dog. I waited in Nova for 18 months before she was born and bringing her home. She means the world to me and I would do anything for her! My fiancé and I have taken multiple financial hits. We planned for Nova. But not my car breaking down and needing to replace it, or my fiancé’s needing to quit his job to finish school, or my dad losing his job and not being able to help support our wedding…all at once

Jacques

Jacques is a 2-year-old Tabby Cat in Canton, GA, who needs $2,000 for Antibiotics.

Canton, GA

We adopted Jacques and his bonded brother Gus three weeks ago from a local rescue. We are all still getting to know each other but they have already become members of our family. They have particularly helped with my moms mental health as she battles stage 4 breast cancer. We named them after the mice in Cinerdella. Jacques loves to spend his days sitting on a window shelf and watching the birds outside. He always wants to be around his humans. He has the most adorable squeaky-toy meow. Like he is still a kitten. He and my mom have a regular 7PM snuggle session on the recliner. He loves to play chase with his bonded brother Gus. Since we have only have Jacques and his brother for three weeks, we are still getting to know them. Jacques is the “high energy, exploring, need to be apart of it all” of the two for sure. He makes biscuits when he is settling down and loves to play with the motorized butterfly toy that he had at his foster home. At the recommendation of a local vet I took Jacques to the emergency veterinary hospital. At the time I believed the had swallowed a nylon tie string from a collapsible pet play tunnel. During the treatment process his stomach/intestines were clear; however, they discovered he had a MAJOR infection. They treated him overnight to ensure his recovery. We have just adopted these cats and while we have saved to ensure they will want for nothing, a major medical bill three weeks in is a huge blow to the family finances.

Gamora

Gamora is a 5-month-old Rottweiler in Marietta , GA, who needs $2,000 for Parvo Treatment.

Marietta, GA

May 2022 i got out of a toxic relationship so i decided to get myself a forever friend and i purchased her through a breeder than i was recommend by some of my coworkers. She lives with me and my dog and cat who are rescues. Gamora is very stubborn, sassy and goofy! She is the spunk my little family needed. Gamora loves to play with her cat sister named NikNak and loves long walks with her big brother named brody, but most importantly she adores nap time with all of us. She follows me every where through the house just like the rest of the pack. Every time I am in the shower Gamora is always sticking her head in or trying to jump in with me. She is glues to me, which is so adorable. Gamora is only 5 months but i feel like she saved me. I was in a really dark place in the beginning of this year and i feel like she saved me. She gives me a purpose, but not only that she gives me A extra boost in my life. Her high energy makes me get out and enjoy life like going for walks, hikes and so much more. On 9/28/222 Gamora was diagnosed with Parvovirus. She had to be hospitalized for 9 days. There was multiple occasions where i had to have the quality of life conversations with the staff. She was on multiple medications, sampling lines, IV catheters, central lines, feeding tubes and so many different CRI's. She had about three plasma transfusions. I am asking for donations for Gamora's care because this was extremely unexpected and her bills are so much more than what i could even offered but I have to do everything in my power to have my baby back in my life.
