Fat Boy
Fat Boy is a 11 year old Siamese in Cottontown, TN, who needs $2,000 for Enucleation.
Cottontown, TN
Fat Boy originally belonged to our neighbors, however he spent a lot of his life outside and began hanging around our house because my young daughters were feeding him. He was skin and bones. One day, I had enough and asked our neighbors if they wanted to keep him and they said no. He became ours that day, 10 years ago. We started noticing his eyes were looking strange. Several vet appointments of being told everything looked OK. Eventually his eyes became so cloudy, we were recommended to go to a cat opthomologist, Veterinary opthomologist services is Nashville. It was determined he has glaucoma and most, if not all, of his optic never was damaged. Shortly after we took in FB, we had allowed him to continue to go outside. One afternoon, as my kids,my husband and myself were outside with FB and a stray dog came into our yard and charged my daughter. FB puffed up to 4x his size and charged the dog, chasing it out of our yard. I have never seen a dog try to get it's tail infront of its own body, scared in all my life. FB is our guard cat. FB is in pain. His eye pressure is 60 and 98. He is getting eye drops 3 times a day, but his levels arent coming down enough. He deserves to not feel in pain every day. Unfortunately, we are living pay check to paycheck and don't have the extra for his eye removalsurgery.

Chief
Chief is a 9-year-old Mutt in Nashville, TN, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Removal of Eye Mass and Pathology Testing.
Nashville, TN
Chief is a rescue dog who came into my life when I was living my first real heartbreak. He was only 4 months old but already too big for a puppy cage at Nashville Humane. When I saw him, I knew he was my pup. He's been with me for almost 10 years, and is the greatest dog ever. He takes such good care of our family, which includes me and his cat brother, Bean. Chief is a gentle giant. He's a big mutt, but is the sweetest animal who loves to be around people. He also LOVES ball. Nothing makes him happier than fetch or a good bone. Chief is a goofball, loves to play fetch, and loves to nap. He also likes to play with his brother, Bean, but I don't know he'd ever admit it. He loves a good bone and staring out the window, watching the birds. But mostly, Chief is the one who helped me heal. Now I want to repay the favor. Chief started getting crust and discharge around his eye, and I discovered a mass under his eyelid. His vet said as long as it didn't grow and didn't bother him, all would be ok. However, recently it has been growing quickly. We were referred to a veterinary ophthalmologist who recommends surgical removal and sending the mass to a pathologist. She also believes Chief has Horner's Syndrome. The estimate for Chief's removal surgery is $2,000-$2,225 depending on how long he needs to be under anesthesia. Additionally, the ophthalmologist has said due to his Horner's Syndrome, he needs additional examination to identify the underlying issue.
