I was house sitting for some friends, and they just had a litter of puppies. My 3 boys were with me when the owners asked if wanted a puppy for house sitting. The boys played with the puppies and chose Sunny. That was 7 years ago, and we think the world of sunny. He got his name by him bringing a type of sunshine in our life as we were going through a lot of changes during the time. a few weeks back, Sunny ruptured his Cranial Cruciate ligament in his back leg. Going from an active dog and going on walks twice a day, has gone down too short to almost no walks as he uses three legs often because of his hurt leg. We are planning on doing surgery after the holidays, but the cost will be around $2500 followed by around 6 weeks of recovery. Sunny had another dog in the house until she passed away 3 years ago. Sunny knows when people are need some love and affection. He will come up and give a kiss on the cheek. Sunny is real close to my dad who we call his grandpa. My dad has Parkinson's and a bad back, so Sunny is always watching over him and stays by his side often. He loves sleeping in bed with me at night but can't now. I recently retired from over 28 years of education which cut my salary by half of what I was making. I also am helping my dad with taking him places for medical needs. Having him healthy and active again on our walks and road trips would be the best thing for the family.

A Good Samaritan called the local animal control department because her neighbor’s cat was injured after reportedly being caught in a motor of a vehicle. One of the officers went out and confirmed that little Wheezie (renamed Phoebe by the foster parent) was, in fact, injured and that her owner was not able to afford any vet care Phoebe is currently 1 out of 7 foster pets (3 cats and 4 guinea pigs). She is extremely loving and playful and you can hear her little motor boat running from across the room. Even at the vets office she was purring up a storm. It'll be hard to give her up for adoption but she deserves a wonderful home where she is the star. My husband and I will continue to care for her until she's healthy Phoebe had a hard start to her life. She was stuck in a car/engine and barely made it out. Her eye was irreparably damaged, the tips of her ears were singed off, and she was left with a pretty severe limp. Through everything she has not complained once. She has been a non stop motor boat of purrs. She deserves the world. My husband took little Phoebe to the veterinarian for an initial exam while I was at work. We feared she needed the eye removed and she was also limping. Doctor Pavlock determined an enucleation would be necessary. The vet also took radiographs of her humerus and saw callus formation and displacement. The vet decided to take a wait and see approach on the leg, but the eye is urgent. Phoebe's initial visit was around $280 and her surgery will be another $900ish. We are a small rescue with several other medical babies. I have pledged $400 of my own money towards her care.

I heard about a skinny, homeless kitty in my neighborhood on September 29th. After seeing his wounds and starving condition I chose to trap him and get him care. I named him Shadow the Mystery Cat and he is a sweetheart. I tried to care for him for 2 days but I wasn't able to stop his extreme diarrhea and feared he was dehydrated. He also had wounds from the diarrhea to his legs and butt. My vet was willing to see him. He was severely dehydrated from the diarrhea and needed to stay to receive i.v. fluids and medication to stop the diarrhea. He has remained there for 4 days and is getting better. He will need extra care when he is discharged and I am happy to do that. He will be on antibiotics, probiotics, ointment for his wounds and steroids. He will need a bath daily until the diarrhea is gone. As you know, the cost of his care is going to be high. I have gotten some of the people who have been following his story to donate to his bill. So far that has raised $90. I am asking for your help. I am not equipped to cover the cost but I knew if I didn't help him he would die a horrible, loveless death. It's not his fault people regard cats as disposable. I'm praying you can help. He has wounds on his legs and butt fro what the vet calls "scorching diarrhea ". He has been at the clinic 4 days so far. He is receiving i.v. fluids, antibiotics, steroids and special food. He is in Northern Hills Vet Clinic in Sturgis Sd. Shadow the Mystery Cat was clearly dumped by someone who thinks cats can survive on their own. Any person with sense knows a family pet doesn't have the skills needed to survive on their own. Left unrescued, Shadow would have been facing a long cold winter in South Dakota. Already malnourished at 4 pounds with terrible diarrhea, he would have died cold and alone. As sick as he was when we trapped him, covered in poop, his front paws caked with dried tar and with open wounds on his back legs, he still managed to push against my hand when I rubbed his head. He wants to live and be loved. I did not plan to rescue a homeless cat. I don't have the money to rescue a homeless cat. But I couldn't not do anything. He matters.

Charlie is an eight-year-old German Shepard that I raised since he was just a pup and he remained a relatively healthy companion most his life. He is my best friend and big brother to another GSD. Charlie currently cant walk using his hind limbs. An MRI revealed a catastrophic rupture in one of the discs connecting his spine. The images plainly show an obstruction between the connection of his upper and lower spinal cord, The neurologist said that surgery is likely the only way to address the problem. He is the most loyal companion ive ever had, he is the only thing consistently good in my life I want to get surgery to relive the compacted discs in Charlies back to give him the best chance to live a fulfilling, pain free life.

Before anyone really knew her, Arthi was wandering the streets alone, weak, exhausted, and clearly in need of help. The gentle Labrador Mastiff mix was found with large patches of missing fur, appearing lethargic and confused. Concerned rescuers brought her in for a veterinary evaluation, where testing revealed she was facing much more than skin issues. Arthi has severe hypothyroidism, anemia, alopecia, and a small tumor-like growth on her upper lip that requires close monitoring and treatment. Thankfully, Arthi is now safe, and her treatment has already begun. She is receiving the medical care she needs and finally has a quiet place to rest as her body starts the long process of healing. But recovery won’t happen overnight. Managing her thyroid disease, treating her anemia, addressing her skin condition, and monitoring the growth on her lip will all require continued veterinary care. After surviving on the streets while feeling so sick, Arthi deserves the chance to regain her strength and experience the comfort she’s been missing for far too long. Loki has been a beloved member of my family since September 25,2022. I adopted Loki from Human Society of Greater Miami.He has always been a gentle, loving,healthy cat who brings comfort and happiness to our home. There is no other pets.As he got older he has become even more special to me, and I am committed to giving him the care he deserves. Loki is an older cat who has recently lost weight and has a lump on his right side of neck,which may be a sign of an underlying medical condition. He has veen to the Chewy Vet and they measured the lump and he may require surgery,x-rays and treatment so we can determine the cause and help him feel healthy and comfortable again. He got bloodwork done in January and everything was fine until May. Loki has a calm, sweet personality and has always been there to brighten my days He isn't affectionate but that is my 3rd Child my fur baby.. He loves being close to my son and is an important part of my family. He loves his brush its therapeutic for his anxiety. Seeing him struggle has been heartbreaking, and I want to do everything possible to give him the happy, comfortable life he deserves. Luka was a present to me on my 40th birthday and I fell in love with him instantly.A few months after getting him I noticed him limping. After x-rays we found he has what’s called Leg Calve Perthes.This basically means the bones in his right hip are dying. Surgery is the only thing that will fix it. Unfortunately, the cost is $6,500. Please donate as he deserves the best life possible. 🐾🐶❤️ The prognosis is good and he would not be limping and lifting up his right leg after this surgery. He would be having the surgery done at Blue Pearl in Monroeville. Luka is very special to me because he healed a hole in my heart after my last baby,Kobi,of 12 years passed away. I said I would never get another dog as long as I lived. He is my best friend and him,I,and my daughter go everywhere together. Luka is very adventurous and I need him to be able to live his life to the fullest and get the mobility he deserves. I went through a few life situations and health issues that left me financially unable to pay for his surgery at this time. I rescued my sweet whiskers when she was a baby. My boys are special needs and they wanted a kitty and so did I. We fell in love with her instantly. She is a little rascal. She loves to play soccer and knock things off of shelves and kick around wadded up pieces of paper. She is a therapy kittie for my boys. They need her. She has to have a life saving procedure on Monday. $2600. She has to have a medical procedure done so that her illness doesn’t spread to other organs. She’s having it done at Midlothian Family Practice in Midlothian Virginia. On Monday, July 6th. I already scheduled the surgery without the money because I have faith she can get it. We don’t have the money though. I work hard to support my two boys and I just don’t have the money for their little hero. Whiskers will curl up on your lap and paw at you. She uses her paw as a spoon when she eats it’s so cute. She will lift her paw for a treat because she’s been trained. And most importantly she provides therapy for my special needs sons. I’m a single mom supporting two boys with many needs. I would give my right arm to pay for this procedure if they would take it. I would give anything for whiskers to be happy. Anything.
