Elvis Prancer is the love of my life. We adopted him 5 years ago from a rescue. He actually rescued me! His name was already Elvis and he was 12 weeks old and he knew his name so we kept it. I added on the Prancer because he prances when he walks and runs. He was found buried alive and had many applicants to meet him, but the rescue chose my application. Elvis Prancer has the run of the household. He has a fur brother named Scout Dasher. They sleep in bed with us every night. Elvis loves to play, go on walks, and make new friends at daycare. He absolutely loves butt scratches, belly rubs, and snuggling. He is such a funny, quirky, and amazing boy. He is afraid of the world and very protective of me (his mama), but at home he is the King. I am currently 8.5 months pregnant, with my first child through IVF it was very expensive and we are still paying that off. Elvis’s bill was just under $8,000 and he now requires physical therapy to maybe walk again. I can’t imagine my life without him. I came home from work and Elvis was paralyzed. His back end was completely paralyzed. I was so scared I scooped him up, all 55 lbs of him and me being 8.5 months pregnant. Rushed him to his vet and they couldn’t help him. He needed a specialist, so I drove him over 2 hours away to NC State Vet Hospital for MRI and surgery. His neurologist is Dr. Sabol. Elvis us special because he makes the bad days good. He has this way of making you smile and laugh even when you feel broken. He lets you know what he wants and tells you vocally when it’s time for him to eat, go potty, or when he needs to go on a walk. He absolutely hates thunder or any bad weather. He loves to wear sweaters to calm him down and will fight you when it’s time to take it off.

Daisy was not originally part of the family since she was my grandparents dog. Ever since she was a puppy she lived with them. My grandfather got her for my grandmother who's dog was very sick. We being my mom and little sister seen her almost on a daily basis for 9 years. So when my grandparents passed in 2020 we couldn't let her go to a shelter. And thats who she now has a sister and 3 brothers. At first the others dogs weren't to happy to have her here being she was a lot bigger than them all. But the two youngest boys welcomed her and cant leave her side. She loves everyone tons of kisses and just because she is 85+ lbs doesn't mean she won't sit right in your lap. She is best friends with the youngest they are always sleeping together or running around causing trouble. Due to the passing of both my grandparents there is many cost that came with it. Daisy is a part of our family, words can not describe the gratefulness and joy to have her back and playing again. she is one of the things that still ties us to a happier time with her love Daisy needs a surgery to fix a torn ligament in her back leg. Since she was injured she hasn't been her energized crazy self. With the torn ligament she has to hop around while being in pain not understanding why she can't move her leg. The surgery we are trying to get her would be done at the Airway Animal Clinic. Daisy has only been with us for little less than 2 months but she has worked her way in to the hearts of not only us but the other animals she lives with. She is our youngest dog's best friend he never goes outside with out her. She is my sisters childhood dog so every now and then you catch them sleeping in a ball together.

Malcom

We adopted Malcom (Mac) from a kill shelter last July near Wilmington,NC. We wanted to give his older sister Kaia a friend and we truly lucked out. In the last year, he has brought our little family so much joy. He cuddles with me every night, watches the hummingbirds with his sister, loves to be in everyone’s business and is a constant source of smiles and laughter to everyone around him. Mac was diagnosed with PIMA, a very rare autoimmune disease that attacks his red blood cells making him extremely anemic. Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral has supplied him with 3 blood transfusions within the last 3 weeks. He is on 2 meds that could give him a chance at reaching full remission but because PIMA is so rare nothing is guaranteed and the meds can take on average 28 days to work. Mac is a very special boy. He is a big mamas boy aka my best friend and little shadow who follows me everywhere. He also doesn’t know a stranger and brings joy to everyone he meets. He loves to run around our apartment with his big sis and has taught us all what true kindness and loyalty can look like even from the smallest of creatures. Each transfusion has cost ~ $2k and Mac has had 3. I just graduated college last year so I don’t have savings and have been living paycheck to paycheck even before this happened. I am terrified that I will be forced to choose between saving my baby or reaching financial ruin

A neighborhood stray was found this morning with severe injuries. After taking him to the vet on an emergency visit it was determined he had been hit by a car and left in the road for dead. Franklin County Animal Hospital Captain is a sweet boy who loves belly rubs and enjoys being close and snuggling with his human companions. He loves rolling around in the sun and taking long cat naps. The last few months have been difficult as another rescue cat was diagnosed with diabetes. After many stressful and expensive visits to help him, efforts were unsuccessful and he succumbed to kidney failure. That financial strain on top of this one is devastating.

Metatron

Metatron is a rescue that came to live with us on the 9th of January. On the 10th we took him yo our vet for an initial exam. On the 11th he began to vomit on top of the diarrhea he came to us with. On the 12th he was admitted to our vet where they diagnosed him with pancreatitis and a high fever. After approximately five days he was able to come home. (I don't have room for the rest) Metatron is incredibly kind, loving, playful and loves everyone. He gets along well with our cats and other dogs. He just wants cuddles and to give hugs and kisses. He wasn't given a fair chance at life and we just want him to thrive. He has the cutest Husky howl and loves tennis balls, and car rides. He is a goofy fun loving boy. We are working with Whitefish Animal Hospital in Whitefish Montana. Dr Jim is his vet. He is currently trying to determine what is causing Metatron to continue being so ill. He is doing a barium study and he may require surgery to further help diagnose and treat him. We have already spent over $3,000 on his medical needs and only have about 400 left that we can spend currently on care credit. We had no idea how sick this poor baby was when we agreed to rescue him. He has only been with our family for a few weeks but we love him

Oliver is an underdog, and he needs your help. An animal lover found him as a stray in Queens, New York, covered in urine, feces, and badly matted. They contacted Remember Me Rescue NY, who took Oliver in and immediately noticed something wasn't right. "His eyes would go in opposite directions," Michele D. from the group tells Waggle. "He has limited vision and bumps into things. He will often walk in circles." A neurologist determined Oliver has hydrocephalus -- fluid on his brain. He could have been born that way, or it could have been due to an injury. But the pressure causes the brain to die. Oliver's best chance at a bright future is to have a shunt inserted in his brain to relieve the pressure. It's a risky operation, but he's just a puppy and deserves a shot! I met this rascal last February when he was only 6 months old at the shelter. It only took a brief interaction for me to fall in love with him and the next day, he was arriving at his new home. When the shelter informed me his previous owner was neglectful enough to not go looking for him, I knew that I would give up my life for this special little guy. Shortly after I adopted Nuki, he suddenly contracted a fever and dehydration. His past medical history is sadly long yet vague. Due to his previous neglect, exposure to viruses and allergens with no vaccinations resulted in him having chronic ear infections. Without thought, I took him to an emergency clinic where they treated him. That is how I found myself unable to finish paying a $800+ bill. I named Nuki after my favorite childhood movie, My Neighbor Totoro, about a friendly tanuki (Japanese forest spirit) that is only visible to those with vivid imagination. He has brought the same wonderment and joy into my life that I will forever cherish. Nuki currently receives love from myself and my mom at home, while entertaining himself with the birds and squirrels on the enclosed patio. With the current state of this economy, I have tried and failed to find a second job to pay off his bills. Financial help would ensure I do not go into thousands of debt as a result of surpassing the 6 month promotional deferred interest deadline.

Pita

Pita is a 7 Year Old Australian Shepherd in Wichita, KS, Who Needs $1,500 for Coughing.

Pita had a natural birth and was brought home at 7 weeks of age. He has stayed current on vaccinations, vet checks and annual use of heartworm prevention. Pita enjoys going to the dog park and playing fetch. Pita has been struggling with excessive thirst and urination for 6 months. His bloodwork and urinalysis has been normal, but needs to be rechecked. His x-rays appear to be normal despite a periodic coughing. The vet feels there is maybe some concern with one side of his lungs. The hope is to address his pu/pd and then see if steroids would help his cough. Pita is an active dog who still loves to cuddle. From the start he has always wanted to have his head on your lap for pets. He craves pets so much that he will push his head into your hand non-stop until you provide it! With increasing living prices, a car accident that resulted in having to buy a new vehicle, a job change due to demotion AND needing to moving within the last month I am struggling to come up with funds for vet care.

Toretto has been with us since he was born in April 2021. He’s been an amazing furball best friend for Gabriel, a 9 year old with severe anxiety. As soon as Gabriel met Toretto aka “Toad”, he fell in love and they have been insuperable since. Toretto is a best friend to two little boys and his biological cat brother, Pinfold. Toretto is an inside cat and he’s such a little character. He knows how to brighten anyone’s day just with cuddles. If he’s not cuddling his boys, you can find him falling half way off his cat house or paws first in his food bowl. We call him and his brother, Pinfold, “The Fluff Bros”. Life would be dull without them. Toretto is especially important to the whole family because he has helped Gabriel with his anxiety tremendously. If Gabriel has a rough day he will immediately find Toretto and cuddle him. It’s like Toad knows when someone needs him. He’s so dang sweet and it would be a tragedy to lose this sweet angel. Toretto hasn’t been able to eat or drink anything for the past 24+ hours. He’s currently at the vet right now with a major blockage that will kill him if it’s not taken care of ASAP. He’s needing an ultrasound, medications, emergency surgery, iv fluids and antibiotics, etc. Toad will die if he doesn’t get this surgery. Gabriel’s mom is a single mom of two boys. The holidays and Gabriel’s 10th birthday have put a strain on any emergency funds to help Toretto. Care credit is also not an option.:(
