Sammy was a gift, he turned into a greater gift! I have taken him across country when I moved. He is an excellent passenger, on the highway he naps, then when I slow down off the highway, poof head pops up. When I moved back home to NY I stayed with a friend. It snowed, feet, there I was in the storm shoveling the grass for Sammy. My friend's son asked her why I was shoveling the grass! Sammy, likes jumping on the couch and zooms on the back, then jumps off big! He likes saying hi to neighbors. On walks he thinks everyone knows him and looked forward to seeing him. He never judges, a homeless looking person sitting on a bench he went to say hello! He is gentle but far from scared, he is curious and trust me. I work in a restaurant, covid has changed things. I can provide some of his treatment but Sammy needs more. He has been my help when life was hard, now I must help him. He is my heart. Sammy breath was awful, so I thought he may have an infection. He did, but Dr. Kirkpatrick at VCA Lakewood felt swelling. We tested and Sammy has lymphoma. He now sees Rachel Kovac at Animal Diagnostics VCA Dallas. He is not losing weight and has started his chemo process. He is doing well eating, walking and doing this process well. Sammy likes napping with his stuffed bear. Sitting on my lap he falls backward knowing I catch him. His stepmom was a sweet gentle pit bull. Sammy would run around her and sit on her head. The look he gives when he doesn't agree with you is one of "How dare you!" It is pretty funny that shocked face. He is good with cats too, we walk and this stray cat walks down the street with us.

Danny

Help Danny Heal From His Persistent Neck Wound

Danny was supposed to be a TNVR cat, but somewhere along the way, this sweet boy made it clear that life had something different in store for him. When Gatos Borincoon first found Danny in one of their trapping areas, he was in rough shape. His skin was painful and irritated, and what initially appeared to be a severe case of mites or scabies required far more than the routine neuter and vaccinations he would normally receive before being returned outdoors. Danny's first Waggle fundraiser helped his rescue cover that initial care, and thanks to incredible donors, it was fully funded and automatically closed. But Danny's medical journey wasn't finished. Although his overall condition has improved significantly, a wound on Danny's neck has been stubbornly refusing to heal as expected. As his rescuers continued monitoring him, they began to suspect that the injury may not have been caused by scabies or parasites at all. Based on its appearance and slow healing, there is concern that Danny may have suffered some type of burn injury, although exactly what happened to him before he was rescued may never be known. Danny recently returned to the veterinarian for another evaluation and received a wound barrier treatment to protect his injured neck and encourage healing. He was able to return home afterward and is scheduled for a follow-up in approximately two weeks so his veterinary team can evaluate his progress and determine whether additional treatment is needed. Thankfully, there is also some wonderful news to share about this boy. As Danny has recovered and spent more time safely in the rescue's care, his personality has started to blossom. The community cat who was originally expected to return outdoors is turning into quite the little lovebug, and Danny is now considered adoptable. For Gatos Borincoon, whose primary mission is TNVR, being able to help Danny beyond his original treatment has given him an entirely different opportunity. Instead of simply healing enough to return to life outdoors, Danny now has the chance to finish his recovery and eventually find a family of his own. This new fundraiser will help cover Danny's continued veterinary care and treatment for his neck wound, including his recent wound care, upcoming recheck, and any additional treatment his veterinarian recommends as he continues healing. Danny has already come such a long way, but his care isn't finished yet. Titan, now retired, spent more than 20 years working in the movie and entertainment industry, helping actors learn to ride and bringing countless productions to life behind the scenes. Even though he's been retired for years, he still has a zest for performing—anytime he sees other horses working or giving lessons, he's eager to join in and be part of the action. Recently, Titan developed a large but thankfully benign tumor in his lower abdomen, requiring immediate surgery and removal. While the procedure was successful, tumor removal is an invasive and often painful process for any horse, especially a senior one. Thankfully, Titan is recovering well and continuing to show the same resilient spirit that defined his career, but the cost of his emergency care and surgery was significant. Horses like Titan deserve the very best—including a comfortable and dignified retirement after a lifetime of service. Angel is a sweet kitty who has gotten the short end of the stick over the last 11 years. Kitty Kisses of Reno Cat Rescue had rescued her from a hoarding situation in Hawaii not long ago. When we found her she was emaciated, covered in fleas, scarred from scratching and poor hygiene, and arthritic. She also had severe gingivitis and will need multiple tooth extractions. All of these were signs of sheer neglect. Just when we thought we had her full list of work she needed done, we took her back to the vet where we discovered she would also need a spay surgery and she has an advanced heart murmur. Before we can move forward with her spay and dental work, Angel will need an EKG to assess her heart. Her vet bills are already estimating at least a $2500 cost. Because most of this work came to us as a surprise, we need your help. Kitty Kisses will never turn down a cat who needs our help, but we were far too unprepared for the state she’s in. We value transparency and want to share the details of the cats that come into us. Angel has been failed before, and it’s now our responsibility to never fail her again. Rocky’s Shocking Condition Tells the Story His Owner Didn’t

When we rescued Rocky, what we found was far worse than anything described to us. This tiny guinea pig had been silently suffering for too long. Upon surrender, “a little crustiness” was mentioned, but the reality was so much more heartbreaking. Rocky had no poop in his cage, bloody nasal discharge and nails and teeth so overgrown they were spiraling in all directions. It is a true miracle this little boy was still eating. Once safe at RBARI, Rocky went straight to the vet. What they found was devastating. A golf-ball-sized mass of impacted fecal material was blocking his perineal pouch, leaving him unable to poop. His teeth were severely overgrown and painful, his nails curling from neglect and he had a large abscess under his chin. Rocky underwent gentle but intensive medical care. His abscess was treated, aspirated and sent out for diagnostics and his impacted feces was removed (the size was shocking!). He is finally pooping again, finally comfortable, and finally safe. Rocky’s recovery is just beginning. More dental care, imaging, abscess treatment, and possible surgery lie ahead for this little guy. That’s where we need you. After surviving unimaginable neglect, Rocky’s medical care will be significant. Every gift truly matters for the smallest, most vulnerable lives. Hi! This is Gracie Lou, because she not graceful at all. She is 15. She has Stage 4 kidney Disease and has to have a potassium gel included in her food or she dies. The vet hospital needs to see her for shots, bloodwork, and an exam because she is stage 4. I’m on a fixed income and just can’t afford it. Please help us… The veterinarian is the Greater Lafayette Cat Hospital. She has severe kidney disease. She needs medicine to live longer. We’ve tried the veterinary kidney food and she won’t eat it so we do as best as we can and I add her medicine. Gracie is my glue. I deal with mental illness. I’ve tried suicide 3 times but she doesn’t care as long as im ok. I can’t find a more loving cat than she is. She loves me no matter what. I’m on a fixed income for cirrhosis and a back that didn’t heal right after surgery. I would do anything to keep my baby and she’s not ready to go either.

Feather walked into our driveway, covered in green and raw weeping eyes. He looked so sad and miserable. We took him in and fed him, cleaned him and off to the vet! He was a 7 month old kitten who hadnt seen a single day of luxury. A flame-point siamese, he was the life of our little household. He has a partner, felix, whom he shares his day with. Feather started yowling in the middle of a sudden unexpectec move. He was despondent, lethargic and sad. He was not the happy playful loving cat he was before. He was barely moving and we rushed him to the only vet open in our town on a saturday. If we had not gone when we had, he would have died from a urinary blockage. He may have permanent kidney damage and a special diet for the rest of life. He is my emotional support cat. He was with me through my divorce and has been here for my kids. He has never bitten or scratched, he is so silly, he loves to play with toy cars! We got a 30 day vacate notice from our landlord who wants to sell the property. We have 4 kids and this sudden and LARGE vet bills for his bladder are almost too much for us.

Jack came into our life as a rescue 11 years ago. It was instant love. We got him shortly after my mom passed away and he was instrumental in their healing process. He has one sister cat Lana who is also a rescue. We choose him because it was close to Halloween and he is solid black. His name was chosen from Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack has sudden onset renal failure. Cause undetermined. Last week he started acting a bit odd. Not eating ( which is on heard of in Jack’s world) and not drinking. He declined rapidly. He will need fluid therapy and more test. Along with medication. He is at a stage of renal failure that can still be turned around. I could go on forever why Jack is special. He is the most loving cat. My daughter would dress him in baby clothes and stroll him in a stroller. He never minded playing along with her. He never meets meets a stranger. Everyone who comes to my house falls in love with him. Jack is our world. He is not a pet but family. My financial situation at the time is very hard. I am a single mom of two plus two kitties. I work two jobs to pay all the bills. I also medical conditions that cause me to have a lot of medical payments and medication. I was diagnosed with Scleroderma 10 years ago.

I first met Othello's mother who was a feral cat outside our house rental in Pipersville who had her 3-4 kittens, then got wounded & never saw her again. My neighbors didn't like cats had Othello locked in his garage & I called the SPCA on them. The next day the SPCA said there was a black & white kitten at Durham Vet that they rescued. I went and picked him up that day may 2006 Othello is now 18. I have been taking excellent care of all these years. This cat has never been sick. I always kept up with his check ups, vaccinations, bloodwork and teeth cleanings. He has all his teeth at 18 Grade 2.. the past few months Othello was struggling to walk due to arthritis. I started the Solensia injections, after the 3rd shot his walking didn't improve. I then had X-rays done. This is my little buddy and I Love him with all my heart. I just want to know what is causing his lack of coordination/balance and help him to walk better. His X-rays showed no abnormalities other than his arthritis. I took him to Metro to specialist in Neurology and he didn't have a stroke nor has Vestibular disease. He was put on a Steroid & antibiotic with little affect. H e needs an MRI This was totally unexpected. He is very healthy other than not being able to keep his balance while walking. He is eating & drinking. He is not lethargic, is not having any seizures, convulsions or vomiting. alert aware and is determined to live. The MRI costs $3-$4000.00
