Bear came into my life when he was just one year old after another family rehomed him. From that moment, he became my son and constant companion. We’ve been together for eight years, sharing every season of life side by side. I don’t have other pets, so Bear is truly my heart, my family and my daily joy. Bear is currently undergoing emergency treatment for newly diagnosed mitral valve disease, pulmonary hypertension and a ventricular arrhythmia, along with severe pancreatitis, anemia, dangerously low platelets, blood clots & complications related to DIC at Wake Veterinary Hospital in Raleigh. He has required ICU-level care to stabilize and will need continued treatment to ensure his heart’s safe. Bear is loved by everyone he meets. He has a gentle, uplifting personality that brings comfort and laughter to my entire family. He’s playful, affectionate and full of charm. He sticks by my side, knows when I’m sad and always finds a way to brighten the room. Our bond is deep, and his joy has been a blessing to all of us. He keeps me going and is my angel. In under three days, Bear’s critical care has reached nearly $10,000, and he still needs continued hospitalization and follow-up treatment. This unexpected expense is overwhelming. Six years ago our chihuahua Gracie was given as a gift to my son Alberto by his best friend named Jesus who is a police officer. During that time my son went through the terrible ordeal of losing his great grandmother who died in his arms from cancer. As a result of her passing he was experiencing panic attacks. Gracie has been an important member of our family now for six beautiful years. Many times Gracie sleeps with me in my bed and at other times she sleeps with my son in his bed. Gracie enjoys being walked and she tends to be very communicative when she wants to be rubbed in her belly or when she wants a snack. Gracie is very smart, loving, compassionate and kind with everyone she meets. When I tell her Gracie go do pee in her wee pad she goes and does pee. Whenever I am about to take Gracie a bath she is so smart she hides under my bed, or under the bed covers. She is afraid of thunder, rain and being in a car. Gracie is so amazing that when my son suffers from his IBS attacks she sits by the bathroom door in desperation because she knows he's unwell. When she sees him all she wants to do is lick his entire face. Gracie needs to have three lumps removed from her memory glands. She needs to be spade, have blood work done and have an x-ray. The blood work will detect if she is a candidate for surgery, she will also undergo a biopsy to make sure its not cancerous. Her x-ray will show if she has any other lumps. She needs to have a surgical procedure done as soon as possible. Due to the Veterinarian cost of Gracies treatment it exceeds my cost of living which is a fixed income. At this current moment I don't have the means to provide emergency care. I am a single parent who provides for all of my household expenses. Thank you to all.

I’ve had lucy for almost 9 years, I adopted her from paws animal shelter for a companion animal for my other dog to have back when he was alive so that he could have a doggy friend to grow old with. With out knowing it she was also a companion animal for my household as well. Originally, her name was Dixie but I renamed her Lucy as I am an I love lucy fan and love Lucille Ball. She’s loves being anywhere I am at or where her new brother Rickey is at, her favorite spot to sleep is by me or sharing a spot on her dog bed bed besides her brother. She loves people and anyone she meets loves her. She loves going to the dog park and socializing with all the dogs that show up and basically anytime she gets to go exploring is the best time for her. She’s my best friend and always there for me, she has her best friend tico, who is a little yorkie who she is absolutely enamored with, she loves how he’s small just like her and super friendly, a dog that she really leaned on when our other dog passed away, I think her gift of bringing everyone in with her bright demeanor is something I admire about her most. I am highly interested in fixing her current medical issues but also getting any necessary care that she needs for what she’s dealing with at the current moment, currently it looks like she’s having some gallbladder issues and might need a removal surgery to fix things and also would need an extra ultrasound so help with that would be highly appreciated It would mean the world to me to have my best friend feeling like her again. I don’t want to lose my baby!! Right now with my family being in low income it’s hard to be able to afford a lot of these high expenses so getting help would be tremendous!

At 10 years old, Bowser should be spending his golden years surrounded by comfort, safety, and love. Instead, this sweet senior Beagle was found wandering as a stray with no home to call his own. Bowser eventually ended up at the Henderson County Shelter in Kentucky, where his future was uncertain. Then came more difficult news: Bowser tested positive for heartworm disease. For a senior dog who had already endured life as a stray, it was yet another heartbreaking obstacle. Thankfully, Bowser’s story didn’t end at the shelter. Beagles R Us Rescue stepped in and gave him the second chance he desperately needed. Now, Bowser needs help on the next part of his journey. Heartworm disease is serious and potentially life-threatening, and treatment can be a long, difficult process. Blueberry Muffin Survived the Euthanasia List and Almost Died from an Obstruction

Blueberry Muffin was saved from the euthanasia list back in March by our rescue, PAWS (Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society) located in Long Island, NY. After everything he has already been through, we truly believed his future was finally looking bright. Now, just a few months later, Blueberry desperately needed us once again, and we could not let him down. Blueberry was recently hospitalized at an emergency veterinary hospital suffering from a serious blockage. His condition was painful, dangerous, and life-threatening, and he needed emergency surgery to remove the obstruction. We were able to put up some of the money to help with his surgery because we could not let him go without the care he needed. But that expense has added to the financial strain on our rescue, and we need your help to replenish those funds so we can continue saving other animals who need us. This sweet senior has already overcome so much. He survived being placed on the euthanasia list and was given a second chance through rescue. He deserves the opportunity to keep fighting and continue enjoying the life that was finally within reach. In a very short period of time, our rescue has stepped up to save so many vulnerable animals from the New York City's Animal Care Centers. Unfortunately, we have also been faced with one costly medical emergency after another, creating an enormous financial strain on our organization. Talia was a rescue that in turn rescued me. Talia was abandoned in a field south of our town. She was left with no food or water. We brought her to our home when she was around 7 months old based on dental records. Talia became my Sobriety Dog. Talia now lives with my wife and I as well as our 7 year old husky Socrates. Talia was living her best life until the gruesome injury. I was taking both huskies to the groomers when Talia was able to pull her leash from my hands. Talia sprinted down the neighborhood and fully ruptured her CCL while on the uneven yards and street.. It is the same injury as a human ACL tear in the knee. The specialized vet is BRVSS of Bakersfield. The surgery procedure is TPLO with an estimated cost between $6000-$7000. W rescued Talia and in doing so She rescued me. Talia is able to sense when my anxiety is high and she will climb into my lap. By Talia doing this, it causes me to redirect my attention in a different direction without me even realizing it at the moment. Talia isn’t just a pet, she is a part of our family. Now that she needs my help, We are unable to afford the surgery she needs. I missed almost a month of work with bad discs in my back. The place they sent me to get physical therapy was not clean. I ended up contracting shingles there. That caused me to miss another month of work. This surgery is $6-7000. Talia is my life.

I am a dog lover and have a special place in my heart for rescues. I adopted Sammy in 2021. He was transported to Virginia from South Carolina. There was no background information about him because he was a stray. Sammy has never had any problems with his appetite. I noticed he was losing his appetite and drinking excessive water. I took him to my vet, where he diagnosed with diabetes after becoming critically ill. He developed diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), a life-threatening emergency that required immediate hospitalization in the intensive care unit. He was admitted to the ER ICU on Sat, July 25, 2026. Sammy immediately fit in with the other rescues in my pack. He was #5 at that time. He loves laying anywhere in the sun. He is honestly the most intelligent dog I’ve ever adopted (I’ve rescued 10 over the past 20yrs). I only have one female in the pack right now, and Bella is his girlfriend. They all miss him as much as I do. Any donation you can give would be appreciated from the bottom of my❤ I am living with terminal stage IV metastatic breast cancer. He once survived a Utah rattlesnake bite to save my foster puppies. He currently lives in a peaceful Fort Smith, AR apartment with me, our Weimaraner rescue diplomat Indie, and our retired 7yo solo ranch herding dog Bailey. Theodore (TJ) needs a surgical mass removal, laboratory biopsy, full dental cleaning under anesthesia, blood panel, and heartworm test due to a newly developed lump on his body. He is my vital 90lb mobility service dog. Treatment will be done at Vetco Total Care. This grant will cover his max estimate of $1,174.31 to include post-op meds. TJ is special because he senses cortisol spikes to preempt my panic attacks. Born from Czech police lines, he chose a soft, loving heart instead. He protects our family with alpha chivalry, gently rolling on his back to let rescue Weimaraner Indie win play matches, and giving retired ranch dog Bailey absolute couch peace while using his 90lb body as my mobility shield. As a handler on a fixed disability income, this $1,174 Vetco surgery is an impossible mountain. Wiping out this bill means keeping my life-saving partner healthy and by my side so he can continue acting as my mobility shield and comforting my panic attacks. Thank you!

Honey has been with me for almost seven years, a rescue whose sweetness earned her name. She saved our 13‑year‑old husky from a deep depression after he lost three friends, teaching him to play again. They’re inseparable. Honey fills our home with joy and quirky love — especially her obsession with Christmas trees. She is the heart of our household —a gentle spirit who has shaped our lives. Honey was diagnosed with lymphoma. It isn’t curable, but treatment at Doctor Pet Emergency Hospital can give her more time and comfort. I’m devastated, but I’m fighting for every day she still has. She deserves the chance to keep living the joyful life she loves and sharing that joy with others, which comes so naturally to her. Honey is pure joy — she loves people, her husky companion Angel, rope toys, beach walks, pup cups, and car rides. She “talks” like a true husky, fears thunder, and is amazed by Christmas trees and ocean waves. Through every hard chapter of my life, she’s been quiet comfort, teaching me how to smile, live again and find wonder in the ordinary things. I’m facing several major life challenges at once- health issues, unstable income, etc. — and every penny of my savings is already going toward Honey’s lymphoma treatment.
